The bungalow was large, reasonably clean, but quite basic. But I expected just to stay for one night, and also liked the large resort territory and the bungalow's location right on the beach, so I decided to give it a try. The swimming pool is medium-sized, but I didn't see anyone swimming there during my stay. The beach nearby is ok for swimming, if not a bit "wild", but it's seems to be the same in other resorts here. The room had satellite TV with an excellent picture quality and many channels (definite plus!), but no fridge - quite weird for a certainly mid-range (for SE Asia) P1790/$36 per night. The aircon was noisy (OK for a budget room, but not for this price range) and didn't help much in a bamboo bungalow, but the weather wasn't too hot anyway. Tried the restaurant next morning, but I had a hard time choosing what to order for my breakfast, as the most dishes were >P300, including Filipino ones which cost P100 in a local restaurant or in a budget hotel - again, this kind of pricing may be expected (but isn't always the case!) in a star-hotel, but not in this kind of resort. The staff of the restaurant were very pleasant, though. On the next day I decided to stay a few days more in La Union, so I moved to another resort - it was P200 cheaper, and almost everything, except maybe TV quality and Wi-Fi reception, was much better. So I didn't get how they manage to fill the rooms with such a basic (for $30+ price range) facilities. Guess whether the tricycle drivers have an agreement to bring the foreigners to this resort, many of whom are completely ignoring they're not in the Western-priced country, not even in Angeles (from where many of the guests seem to come). Anyway, I can't say the resort is bad, for a (semi)-budget (not even really backpacker) traveller the facilities are nice. I just think the price is too high for this kind of facilities, were it more like P1200-1300, I'd definitely consider staying there for my remaining days here.
