My wife and I stayed at this resort for five nights.
I did read previous reviews of the resort but decided to keep an open mind about it. To be honest I was pleasantly surprised when we arrived.
The rooms and cottages are built of 'native materials' which give a dull, neglected appearance but I found them quaint and authentic.
Yes as a result of this the dividing walls between rooms are quite thin and next door's 'noises' can be heard.
We found the location easy to find and the small garden with its variety of flowers, bushes and trees an added bonus.
The pool was clean and we used it twice a day.
Our rooms were kept clean and spotless by the cleaning staff who were always friendly and polite and very obliging.
The small bar in the restaurant did seem to be a meeting place for aged 'Foreigners' of different nationalities but they kept themselves to themselves and were never a problem. The restaurant food was very much to our liking and a bit pricier than neighbouring resorts. We found the staff were very polite and helpful but they needed a bit more training. They spent a lot of their time on duty chatting amongst themselves or gazing in to space!
Once food has been served a 'follow up' to a person's meal such as 'how is the food Sir?' 'Can I get you anything else?' adds a nice personal touch to a meal.
Boat trips are available either through the Resort or by negotiation with the local boatmen.
The beach is small and non existent in places, but we didn't use it as my wife isn't a very strong swimmer and preferred to swim in the pool. However I did notice a lot of guests and locals swimming in the sea.
Wi Fi was available in some of the rooms but the strongest signal was always available in the Restaurant area.
All in all we had a great relaxing break there as we are staying in Baguio City long term, and it was a relief to get away from the crowds and traffic fumes of that place.
