The friendly, helpful staff are the only redeeming feature of this hotel. Clean but very dated room. We had a 'Harbour View' room. In reality this meant a partial view of a flat roof littered with an old screwdrivers, bolts and other detritus, together with a birds-eye view of skips by the harbour front, containers and all the marine support vessels (which we actually found quite interesting). Your experience will be noisy (as the glazing is minimal), with cranes and other vehicles beeping from early until late and vessels coming and going. I could have coped with that but as we were also opposite the elevator and had what appeared to be a small T-Rex stomping around in the room above us meant we were glad to leave.

This hotel falls far below any Marriott I have stayed in! I have stayed here in the past and it was better! I checked in here on Tuesday the 21st of May and we check out tomorrow the 24th of May 2024. We have been away from our room each day leaving early morning and returning at 5pm...our room has yet to be cleaned and I had to call down to the front desk to get some fresh towels (it's now Thursday the 23rd).
We had the free breakfast...everything except the toast we made ourselves was cold, not cool but cold and dried up!
I am shocked! This hotel with this awful service should not be a Marriott!
I have stayed in 50 plus Marriott hotels and I'm a Gold Elite Bonvoy member, thus I have a sense of what Marriott normally offers!
St.John's NL has another Marriott downtown, it may be better. I would advise anyone to avoid this one until they get their act together!

This hotel has a great location which you can walk to everything downtown. Rooms are spacious and clean. Nice updates bathrooms. Parking is free. Would definitely stay here again. The bar is a nice touch too. Checkin was easy and the staff super polite and helpful.
