Rooms are super small which didn’t used to matter, but now they charge resort fees, and are so cheap about everything. $3 for a lost key card, $7 for a $2 log, the cost to make a call from the room is so expensive that the agent wouldn’t tell me how much- just recommended I don’t use it! The staff was so unexcited and unwilling to help that we actually called a concierge at another hotel to get advice about where to eat. They just don’t care anymore. Sad because I grew up going here and we took our kids every year. Everyone was very disappointed this time, especially when they had been looking forward to the stay. We actually left early and canceled our 2nd week to stay somewhere else. The staff also put us next to renovations (drilling early) and the walls are paper thin- you can hear all the people in ski boots walking. Plus, there are barely any lights by the ping pong game tables, and a woman yelled at us to keep it down while trying to play ping pong at 5:15 pm (before dinner). The indoor pool closes at 5:00. They charged for resort fees even when half of the resort was closed due to renovations- no gym, no arcade, no indoor pool (which wouldn’t matter anyway because we got back from skiing after the indoor pool closed), and no more activities. My son went to get an activity calendar and they didn’t have any activities. The front desk also fought me on my second parking pass (we had 2 rooms) and kept telling me I’d have to pay more for parking. It’s a good location and pretty bldg with lots of places to sit and read. The outdoor pool was heated and I appreciated the hot tubs. However, I’d prefer to stay somewhere else next time.
