Great value on an amazing island

Reviewed Jun 27, 2023
This is a complex of mostly individually owned condos, many of which are rented on Airbnb or Vrbo. I have stayed here many times and find it one of the best values on the island. The last time I was there was in January 2023. We got great use of the pools and jacuzzi and even made it to the gym a few times. The workout equipment is a little dated, but it was clean and air conditioned. This complex is close to several great restaurants in Turtle Cove (Magnolia - great food and greater views and Baci were among my favs. Jerk chicken at Hideaway Grill and Chill is not to be missed and very affordable). It is also close to one of my favorite beaches on Provo (Four Boys Beach). We often have this beach to ourselves - Heaven. The condos we've stayed in have been very, very clean and super well-managed with great views of the water. (trying to upload photos, but it keeps glitching)

Had a really terrible experience at the resort. when I came into our studio it was poorly cleaned. I used my own lysol wipes to clean to countertops and toilet seat and sure enough the wipes were brown after I cleaned the surfaces. also found someones strip lashes next to the nightstand lol..didnt complain as I always do my own cleaning at hotels anyway.

There was also a musty smell that I couldn’t figure out. Later on the housekeeper came in and opened a door that I assumed was a closet but learned it was a washer dryer room. When she opened up the washer, there were wet towels from the previous guests still in there. I guess she wasn’t the one that cleaned the room before because even she took a picture for proof that this bs really happened. I didnt make a fuss cuz the staff seemed nice n didn’t want to be a bother.

Here’s the part that really pissed me off.. the towels we got had all types of stains on them.. we washed them ourselves the 2nd day and they didnt come out.. we knew that they were clean but just badly stained so we used them. After I leave the resort after 5 days, They send me a message that they are keeping 60$ from my deposit because the maid found a towel that had a stain on it that she couldn’t get out. .....now…these towels were already stained and if indeed my makeup did somehow get on it, simple detergent always gets it out. i told them of all the horrible things that happened during my stay and that the towels were already stained but they didnt care…no apologies, they just wanted money.

You can spend your money at better resorts.. this is not worth it and left a really bad taste in my mouth after my otherwise enjoyable time on the island.

Room tip: don't go.

Beautiful place ! Clean and spacious ! Has delicious restaurant very close to the property . Semi private pool area, plenty of space to tan . Felt safe and gym access was nice . The views was amazing , Breathingtaking! Would recommend 100%. Do not hesitate to book here !

Room tip: Rent a car , it’ll save you so much money overall. Everything is real close to each other no more than 10 minutes apart .

We just got back from T&C last week and stayed at the Vista Azul and also next door at the Queen Angel. The property and grounds were very nice and the pools were nice too. Our VRBO unit was super tiny so I would definitely research better next time as there are bigger units there. You really have to largely rely on getting groceries because there’s not much around. In the courtyard there’s a little gelato place that serves food and down the road is a cute cafe called Turks Wave. There’s a restaurant Simone’s but we hardly saw anyone there. Three other restaurants at the Turtle Cove Marina are Mangoes, Sharkbite, and Baci. It was just inconvenient not really having anything onsite, like if you wanted to grab a water or soda. You also have to walk about 10 minutes to the beach, and the access is hard to find. It definitely is more affordable staying there - $180/night, but you have to consider needing a car to get groceries. It’s a quieter area too.

Building 4 unit 204 was dirty. This is owned privately and rented by owner. Kitchen had bare minimum of items to use. 2 spoons!!!? Electrical outlets were mostly blown. More sticky smudges than I care to see. Everywhere in the kitchen, bathroom, living space. The mirror had marks than obviously wasnt cleaned. The bathroom had leftover sand and needed a deep clean. The fridge was noisy and needed fixing. The freezer had left over food from previous renters. If you ask the receptionist for help since this is privately owned will redirect you to the owner- and of course they dont have contact info for them.
The hotel however is conveniently located to the beach and restaurants. Chaulk beach area where all the touristy things are about a drive away as is the nearest grocery store. The hotel otherwise apart from this unit was clean. The gym is straight out of the 80’s and is about 200sqft. Wifi is only available in your suite.
