AN EXCELLENT RESORT

Reviewed 2 weeks ago
A food time was had by all 7 of us (ages from 11 to 74).
Loved the smoothie of the day, the iced vanilla lattes, and the baked goods at The Palm.
Villa Manager Nicole M. was wonderful and attentive.
Our 11 year old says breakfast was amazing and she especially enjoyed the food at the Reef.
Our 17 year old recommends Rachel for employee of the month. Her attention to his allergies made him feel safe, and her personality was warm, friendly, and fun.
We loved the game room and the free kayaking and paddle boards.
We took advantage of the golf cart rides when it was late, raining, or too hot, and found the drivers to all be delightful including DeAndre, Christopher, Emmanuel, and Jefferson.
Wait staff and food managers, including Derah and Carla, were attentive and extra friendly. Some of our favorite servers included Brian and Sheddy.
Matthew in the lobby helped us several times and was charming.
Wendy in the boutique was a sweetheart and greeted us several times with enthusiasm.
Lauren the security guard was the first face we saw upon arrival and gave us an excellent “welcome to paradise” greeting.
The cooling towels were amazing upon arrival.
Ronald (the chef) was awesome and spoke to us on numerous occasions.
SOME SUGGESTIONS:
Need better lighting on some of the walkways.
Kitchen/Dining room in Villa need more/better lighting. Other rooms are perfect.
Recommend family friendly daily activities or entertainment such as movie night or trivia contests.
Villa kitchen could be a little better stocked in terms of cooking supplies. It had no spatula or items like salt and pepper.

Just returned from a 7 day stay at Blue Waters with my family, including four stilt children. We stayed in the Cove Penthouse that worked out perfectly for our family. We had a private pool, king sized beds, a great covered porch with easy access to all the resort amenities including pickleball court, yoga platform, gym, restaurants as well as pools and beaches. Service was impeccable, with a special call out to the best concierge ever- Nicole. We chartered a small power boat for a coastal cruise- awesome time with Danny and Rocky. Few resorts earn our 5 starting and intention to return. Highly recommend!

Room tip: Consider the all inclusive meal plan- food in the three restaurants is very high quality with plenty of variety to satisfy everyone’s tastes

This hotel is everything and more! Stunning views, fabulous food, amazing beach and wonderful staff. Nothing is too much trouble. Bedrooms lovely, beds are huge and so comfy. Really can’t fault it! A little slice of heaven. Antigua is a magical place where the locals are super friendly. Possibly the safest of all the islands. Just stunning. Came to Antigua 22 years ago and it still has its charm!!

Room tip: The spa is super expensive

Blue Waters is a paradise... the hotel sits on a tropical hill and fills it's own bay, so the location is beautiful. Everything about the place is understated quality, and the layout really works. The beaches and pools are plentiful and lovely, and there was lots of availability everywhere. As you sit on the beach admiring the clear blue water, pelicans are diving to catch fish. 5 minutes with lovely Owen on the hotel speedboat gets you out onto the reef for snorkelling, the full 1/2 day round the coast was brilliant fun.

There are 3 restaurants, but only 2 max are open at any time. The food is very good although the menus would improve if they were rotated more often. But even so we never got bored in 10 days, and we only had meals we really enjoyed.

Without being super-luxurious or huge, the rooms have everything you would expect and are very comfortable indeed. The way they are kept in terms of updating towels, etc is great.

The staff are REALLY friendly; they are a joy. We went to get married, so a special shout-out for Mandie, the Blue Waters wedding co-ordinator; she is a great personality and awesome by really taking charge of (a) getting all the required paperwork together and authorised in advance; (b) the logistics; and (c) making the day even more special than you had hoped, just by being there! We could not have conceived of a more beautiful romantic place to get married than the the Blue Waters gazebo.

In summary, Blue Waters is a really perfect paradise. It's not flash, it's just an understated beautiful place that we would go back to as often as possible. The place and the people made our wedding so special.
