Review of Catamaran Hotel
Reviewed Aug 5, 2021via mobile
This is an excellent resort to stay at if you want to sample the numerous delights on offer on the island. The resort is situated in a quiet location, yet all points of interest such as Nelson's Dockyard and English Harbour are easily accessible particularly if you decide to take a car rental. Staff are all extremely amenable and helpful providing expert local knowledge of specific places of interest and the most pristine beaches to visit in order to swim or snorkel. Rooms are meticulously cleaned on a daily basis with fresh towels and linen provided. In front of the rooms lies a small private beach and marina, which is a rather secluded spot and quiet at night time. In my opinion, this is a perfect location at an affordable price for wider exploration of what is a fascinating island.

My husband and I and our five children checked into the Catamaran hotel for 15 nights, not ever having been to the Caribbean or Antigua before not knowing what to expect! Our expectations have been blown away and more!! The location and dream like geographical spot of this hotel is only surpassed by the genuine hospitality and utter out of the norm service provided by the owner Feona and her dedicated team of staff! The perfect blend of feeling like we have truly come home to the long lost family we never knew we had ! and professional level of “above and beyond” customer service which I dare anyone to find any where else! NOTHING is too much trouble (and with 5 children that is a feat in and of itself!) the level of hospitality is exceptional! Truly giving us things we didn’t even know we needed! The home-like feel from the moment we arrived as very inexperienced islanders! We felt totally relaxed from the moment Feona greeted us and showed us to our gorgeous authentic Antiguan rooms! Everything we need is at the hotel and so much more! Breakfast served by their chef to us on the private beach! Authentic rum punch just appeared served by the lovely David! (Out of this world and Dangerously good!!) so many facilities and extras that just weren’t shown on the website! The rooms are beautifully cool, exceptionally clean , a true taste of Caribbean decor. Beds are huge and so comfortable and the addition of a kitchenette is wonderful for families. The beach is white and tropical and constantly being raked and kept spotless by the grounds team! Hand delivered Mangoes fresh from one of the teams gardens for no cost! Just the joy of us tasting them! is just a small example of the level of thoughtfulness and family service big resorts just can’t deliver! We will aim to return to this hotel as many times as physically possible and recommended to as many friends as family as can come! This hotel is phenomenal and we would heartily recommend.

We stayed for 4 weeks in January and wished we didn't have to leave. A, small traditional, family run hotel with its own private beach just a stone's throw from English Harbour. Breakfast was delivered to our room each morning due to covid restrictions. Nelson's dockyard is just a short bus ride away, or do what we did and walk! We upgraded to a first glorious room and loved sitting on our balcony watching the yachts and sun setting over the sea.

Stayed for a week in mid December. This place is lovely, with it's own private beach with kayaks and sailboats to use when you want and a nice pool area. The rooms are big with a full kitchen and great views over the bay. Think there are only 14 room so it's quite boutique but suited me perfectly.

The staff are amazing, so friendly and the rooms and grounds are kept spotless.

Really nice vibe. There are a couple of restaurants a couple of mins walk and a supermarket and the main drag is a 20 mins walk.

Would defo go back, was perfect and loved that part of the island with English harbour, Nelsons Dockyark and some great beaches close by

The location is very well situated on the shore of the beach.
Only a few steps from my room to the sand and sea.
I stayed here for 3 nights before island hoping.
Friendly helpful staff, lots of interesting places to explore on the Falmouth side of the island.
Sadly Nelsons dockyard was closed due to Covid situation.
Would most definitely return again to this hotel.

I traveled around Antigua during my stay and this is a great location. I really enjoyed my stay here. The owners are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and perfectly cleaned. When you open the door to your room you are at the beach. I especially enjoyed the free use of a kayak. And spent my evenings sitting on the lovely porch. There are restaurants and shops close to the hotel making a convenient spot to stay.
