Good Food at a reasonable price

There was 4 of us and we all enjoyed our meals at Drifters Inn. Three of us had their daily special which was 1/2 rack of ribs which came with soup, and a side. I had mashed potatoes while others had the French fries. The other person had the hamburger Steak that comes with fried onions and a side and soup of the day. The soup of the day was alphabet soup which was homemade. I usually don't like alphabet soup but this one was very good. Our friends who live in Lac Du Bonnet come here about once a week. We would come back here again.

Average food, but less than average service.

We stopped here for lunch at a friend’s recommendation. After we ordered, it took close to a half hour before the food came. I had a bacon cheeseburger platter. The burger and fries were good, with nice crispy bacon and real cheese, and the fries were average. The coleslaw that came with the platter was the worst I’ve ever had. It had barely any dressing on it, and tasted like nothing, except for being a little bitter. It took a while to get a second cup of coffee, and the restaurant didn’t seem as full as when we originally came in. If I’m in the area again, I will definitely try somewhere else.

Good Food

We stopped for a bite on the way home from the lake, and sat in the lounge so we could watch the football game. I ordered the Classic Reuben for $12.95 and hubby ordered a Super Chicken Burger for $10.95 and fries. We were asked if we wanted to make it a platter, and of course, we said yes. We didn't realize at the time of ordering that to make it a platter, the fries would cost an additional $4.95 each. When we received the bill, we couldn't believe how much it was! Now, looking at the menu on the website, I see the notice for platters printed underneath the Handheld part of the menu. The number of fries provided on one order was very ample and would have been sufficient for two people. So that's what we'll do that for the next time. Will go back as the food was very good.

My favourite places to eat in town. every Tuesday night wing night woot. I can save a few bucks and the Wings come fast some of the closest to home cooked food I think in town

Don’t come here!

We entered through the doors of the restaurant and as first time people here we didn’t know exactly what doors to enter from. We walked up to where one of the servers were and said said table for 3. This man didn’t even acknowledge us right away. It was almost as if we were a bother to him. He then replied after a rude second ok take a seat rudely. We sat down and he came to the table timely. Without a hey how are we doing today or anything we got an I’m assuming you all have IDs. some of our group said yes however one didn’t and so no biggy we easily would have sat in the restaurant section had we known there was 2 entrances. He then replied well shucks and threw a co worker under the bus by saying she’ll probably send you back here but tell her no. As in she didn’t want to serve us. Once we went to the other half of the restaurant she let us it and was very friendly and took our orders right away. Especially because the restaurant area was closing earlier then the bar. If you want an extremely unwelcoming restaurant and people belittling you... come here! We have a cabin out here and so does our cousins our grandparents and many many friends. They recommended us to try it and we will be telling them to never come here again. I love supporting local but not when local is rude! Not sure if the man we spoke with in the bar was a manager But if he was that is disgusting. Customer service is about serving the people that enter into your restaurant and pay for tour service. Unfortunately this worker had no respect. Piece of advice. No one likes to go to a restaurant where they feel uncomfortable! Food was good but will not be supporting this establishment.

Worst experience in Canada so far, the lady at the counter was extremely rude, she never smiled even once. We were a group of 8 people and this was the only place open at 9.30 am so we had no choice. The restaurant made no attempt to offer us a table inside the restaurant we were directed outside to a bench to eat. Not only the front desk lady but even some of the older guests were extremely racist and mean. Honestly, I had never experienced such a poor service in my life and I had been to three continents!!

Good place to eat in LDB

Stopped here for dinner on a Sunday night as there aren’t a lot of options in Lac du Bonnie at 7pm on a Sunday. We ate in the bar side. It was busy but the service was good. We all enjoyed our meals of pizza, chicken taco salad, beef taco salad and shrimp dinner.

Stopped in for lunch during a motorcycle ride with friends. So happy we did. This place was busy, but service was still attentive and quick. Burgers and fries were excellent. Seemed like a handmade patty and house cut fries. Really enjoyed our meal. Will certainly return.

Rude service and owner awful

Went for lunch been here many times i’m Done will not go back food inconsistent {ordered poutine) when waitress brought it cold fries hot gravy waited for waitress to come back and check if food was ok never came when I went to pay took fries up to advise not paying she assumed I was taking home told her she never came back worst poutine ever had told her she never came back on my way out saw Frank the owner explained problem he told me waitress was walking around could have grabbed her ? I told him I didn’t pay for that kind of service went on to defend his staff after I picked my jaw off the floor walked out will NEVER go back rude food not worth it also the breakfast ALWAYS comes cold they never cook eggs properly even over cook scrambled.

Never ever again!

Loud obnoxious server served others while we had been sitting 10 minutes. Quite sure she has never taken or passed the food handler`s course. The food was not great either. Next time we will try Chicken Chef like another viewer indicated.

Horrible service and food

The last few times we were there the food and service were brutal. The worst was Aug. 14, 2017 between 6:30 pm and 8:30 pm. We waited an hour, service was absolutely horrendous and the food was very cold and uneatable. The waitress was unapologetic and didn't seem to care. We never received our coffee, after about half an hour my husband finally got his soup, which was a half a bowl of soup that was poured and left sitting on the counter for about fifteen minutes. Needless to say it was ice cold. Refused it and the waitresses reply was OK! Then after about another half hour our meals came. Mine was spaghetti and meat sauce. I received my spaghetti, which was quite a big plate full, but there was one little scoop of so called sauce on top. The sauce was all hamburger meat with very little to no tomato sauce in it. There was probably enough so called sauce for about a fifth of the spaghetti, if that. The spaghetti wasn't drained properly so I had lots of water sitting on the bottom of my plate. I mentioned to the waitress about there being no sauce and she replied it was pre-measured and would take another twenty minutes to do more sauce. I scraped whatever sauce I could with each fork full, but found I was chasing little pieces of meat around my plate. I ate very little off of my plate...disgusting! My husbands meal wasn't much better. So after an hour wait, terrible service, no coffee, cold food including the pasta, we left. I said at the cash register that I can't believe we are paying for this "%#&@" and told the waitress how horrible the food was. Still no apology and she didn't seem to care. I was going to call the manager the next day, but regretfully didn't. So, after paying $34.00 we both came home and ate! A once regular customer...NEVER GOING BACK!!
