We were staying at the Gran Hotel La Perla, it's on a city square so our car was put in a garage by a valet. We didn't want to go to the trouble of getting it out so we decided to walk to dinner. The street close to the hotel is actually on the running oof the bulls. There are numerous restaurants on the street to choose from. We picked the Bodegon Sarria and turned out to be a great choice! We thought we would take a tour of the menu by trying several small plates to share. All were excellent. The place was packed with a happy hour crowd, but we were still served promptly. When we approached the rear of the restaurant a server stated that we could not order pizza at those tables. That was fine, we didn't want pizza, we were looking for local food, and we found some of the best here at the Bodegon Sarria.

The “Bodegon Sarria” is located on a small pedestrian street close to Plaza del Castillo, during our tour of the historic center of Pamplona we found this tapas house that also has a restaurant space. It has excellent quality hams, a very good atmosphere for couples, groups, friends. Good quality-price ratio as you can order smaller or larger rations. We only had a good beer because it was still too early for lunch. We can say that the atmosphere, service and food are fantastic. But the dining room is relatively small, we think when there's a group to make reservations. Anyhow a location that we can warmly recommend.

We stopped there around spanish lunch time -say 2 pm - because my husband saw the Estrella Galicia gigantic containers, meaning there would be fresh unpasteurized Estrella Galicia beer! So in we go... rather quiet, but a few very nice pintxos on the bar. We picked 4, of which 2 were like burgers, but when heated up, became like mini paninis.. fabulous! One had black pudding filling - love black pudding in Spain , we have tasted it all over the country - and the other had chorizo. And then one with serrano cheese nas mushroom - miam -, and the last one based on artichoke. It was delicious! Definitely recommend this place!

Don't sit inside this place, the hard surfaces of the interior makes the noise level unbearable. If you do anyway, choose from their selection of pintxos you can see - if you order from the kitchen they will bring you a piece of special ham of a quite decent quality to what is an exorbitant price. Nothing worse than when you feel like the touristytourist you are.

Hola.

After 1.5 hours touring magnificent Pamplona Cathedral I was hungry. Bodegon Sarria looked the cleanest and healthiest eatery on the street. Scrambled eggs and mushrooms on toast was very tasty. A freshly made Iberico ham sandwich to follow. Both washed down with a large Estrella beer. Very good value at €8.

We dined here on a Saturday night. It was super busy and we were lucky enough to get a table. Atmosphere was good, perhaps a bit noisy, but that was to be expected given all the diners and drinkers. Service was friendly and efficient - the waiter's English pretty good and everything arrived at the table in reasonable time. They had a wide range of pintxos and rations on offer - all of the ones we tried were good but the pick was the artichokes with mushrooms, which was just delicious. Definitely my favourite. And the wine list was equally impressive..

We were looking for a cheeky mid afternoon drink on the way back to our hotel and this place certainly stood out. Pamplona was busy with locals and this bull running street in particular. We got a seat outside and stayed for a couple of drinks, watching the world go by and enjoying the sunshine. Unfortunately we didn't try the food, we'd already eaten but it sounds like we missed out.

We were searching for the place to have an entrecote, we got it but it was like a gum, portions were totally different. Worst I ever got it in all Spain, even side dish (potatoes, mushrooms) were cold. Good that we ordered additionally shrimps plate to share - they fixed the situation. Staff was helpful, offered really good vine, talked in English. So in total dinner was saved.

A must try when passing by Pamplona !!! Located amongst many other eateries on the famous Calle de la Estafeta, this one definitely stands out !!! Just go at the desk and choose what you want... but I warn you you will probably have a hard time to decide so delicious each specialities look like :) Best accompany with a lovely chilled red wine from Navarra. Go for the recommend action of the patron, you won't be disapointed !

Had a quick beer and tapas here before heading out for something more substantial. Good selection of huge tapas. Great atmosphere and reasonably busy. A bit pricey - but nothing too bad.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff and some of the best Spanish ham washed down with sangria inhave ever tasted. This is not fine dining and service is quick and efficient. No chairs just stools but the seat is comfortable. Tapas is served at the bar and front of the restaurant and the red table clothes are the restaurant where you have to eat a meal rather than tapas. An eclectic mix of people, all doing one of Spain’s favorite past times.... eating!

I was lured by the look of the pinchos and food. I ordered a caña and spanish omelette only to discover the beer was €0.30 more expensive than the actual tortilla. My high hopes were somewhat shattered by the average taste of the tortilla and my annoyed neighbour who had been waiting to be served for ages. Perhaps I chose badly

This bar is very crowded with locals. The tapas are quite different from the usual fare. It's loaded with all the goodness of the local produce. Each serving is unusually large for a tapas. The servers doubled up as waiters and bartenders. Therefore, the service is a hush hush experience. Nonetheless, one should soak in the local experience eating together with the locals. This place offers very good value tapas.
