The meat, oh the meat!

Fantastic place with fantastic food (the meat!). We were four people eating, and three of us was served rare meat instead of the medium we ordered. They fixed it quickly without any fuss. The food was fantastic and the wine we were recommended was a perfect combination. Would eat there again for sure.

Amazing Anniversary Meal

We chose this restaurant to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were made to feel extremely welcome by all the staff, especially Henry who was fantastic and extremely friendly. We noticed that Henry showed other customers what choice of steak was on offer but as we knew what steak we wanted, it wasn’t necessary for us. Both my wife and I choice the sirloin, my wife had the pepper sauce whereas I had the Malbec sauce. Both steaks were cooked medium rare and cooked to perfection. Both were that tender they could have been cut with a spoon! For dessert my wife had a chocolate brownie and I had the strawberry cheesecake. Then a surprise. Congratulations music was played and the cheesecake was brought out on a plate surrounded by a chocolate heart. Two cocktails were brought out for us. We were thoroughly well treated by the restaurant and well looked after by Henry. The food was superb, well priced and the restaurant was busy which is always a great sign. If you’re looking for somewhere to eat then come here. You won’t regret it at all. Thank you all for a memorable night and especially to Henry who was a gentleman.

Great Steak, with good staff

We were stopping in Barcelona for three nights, and had already been told about this restaurant by my brother work colleague. So we decided to go on our last night after a day of sight seeing. Our Hotel was at the top of Las Rambla, so this was only a few minutes walk, on arrival the staff asked if we had booked which we had not, giving me the impression it can get very busy, we arrived around 19:30, but staff were very pleasant and managed to take us straight to a table. We went straight for Mains which i had the Rib-eye steak and my brother the Sirloin, whilst we were waiting for the food we were given bread and some salsa dips, one of them being Chimichurri, which we had never had before, and was absolutely delicious, at the time i didn't know what it was, so i asked the staff and they told me what it was, and we both said how nice it was. Our Mains came out and they look really nice and the staff bought us over some more Chimichurri, we both had the steaks medium, although they were a bit more red inside than what we are used to, they were one of the best steaks we have had, to the point we believe we could now eat steaks medium-rare. All in all a good visit and would definitely recommend this restaurant if people visit Barcelona, we will definitely come back, on a future visit to Barcelona.

Great people but mediocre food

Most of the Argentinean foodplaces within the city are quite amazing and I had great expectations on this place and maybe I had a bad day or the chef had it since he had two straight customers that were not that satisfied with the quality of the food. I had a special food dish that was a skirt steak and normally they are very tender but this came in as very tough to cut although the flavor was quite great. Their appetizers were very large and filling. The corn on the cob was subpar and tasted blend. Poor servers wanted to show their special rooms and such for compensation and I denied but told I will be back which I will give it another shot with different meat selection the next time.

Overpriced and badly treated

Alot of things wrong with this restaurant. We visited this restaurant in January this was the first restaurant we went to during our trip to Barcelona we came across it on trip advisor and chose this because or the good reviews although I'm unsure why this restaurant has a high review rating. We entered the restaurant and was asked if we had booked we said we hadnt made a reservation he seated us next to the door (its January it's cold and sitting next to the door you get a colder breeze everytime someone walks in) there was plenty of other tables the restaurant was very long and went really far back. I said to my boyfriend it's cold in here and we are sat next to the door maybe we should leave and find another restaurant. Another man came over to take our drink order and took us over to another table in the restaurant this time. Unfortunately this was no better we sat just outside the kitchen door where staff was dragging black smelly bin bags out from the kitchen. I had lost hope at this point we waited and waited for someone to come over to take our food over but no one came after about 25mins my boyfriend went over to the bar area at the front of the restaurant and asked if someone could take our food order. We both ordered steak which was reasonable nothing special and the presentation of the main course wasnt great either. This was the most expensive restaurant we visited during our week in Barcelona and the worst. Although still hungry we left without having dessert as we was so cold and the small table we sat at was uncomfortable. I think because we didn't have a reservation they didn't treat us the same as people that had. We was paying the same money and for what we paid it really wasnt worth it. I would choose somewhere else if you read this dont be fooled.

Subpar experience

The guys had really bad luck this evening as I was the second straight customer who had issues with the main course that was decent but I guess the main chef was probably having his/her day off. Huge appetizers that need 2 people since it will stuff you up. Bread basked was tasty and wine selection was good. The Skirt steak was subpar since it had some tough meat parts to cut it with a knife.The poor waitor wanted to give me a special tour but I rejected politely. Would love to give it another shot with different meat and see if the experience was once upon time happening.

Melt in your mouth steak!

We booked here after finding on TA and reading good reviews, it didn’t disappoint! definitely recommend pre booking as it filled up as we was in there. Knowledgable and friendly staff, one waiter came out with a board of different cuts Of steak on so you knew what you was ordering! I ordered sirloin steak with blue cheese and my other half had fillet, both melted in your mouth and cooked just how we had asked! Ordered a brownie and ice cream for pudding which was more than big enough to share. A free strawberry sorbet drink with the bill which was tasty. We will be booking a table again on our next visit to Barcelona!

Delicious steak

We came across this restaurant by accident and we are so glad we did. We received a warm welcome by the staff and shown to a table straight away. The food and wine choice was good. The steak was cooked just how I had asked and was so juicy and tender. I would definitely recommend this restaurant if you like a good steak. My husband had salmon and he enjoyed it just as much. If we ever visit Barcelona again we would definitely go back here. Thank you

So so pleased I picked here. Food out of this world, waiter services (Henry) was friendly and helpful. They brought a cake for my husband and 4 cocktails for us all. Worth the money €200 euro for starters & main, 2 puddings and 2 bottles of wine (4 people) definitely recommend

Wonderful Dinner!!!

We went here based on the Trip Advisor reviews and once again Trip Advisor nailed it. We had cerviche and carpaccio appetizers and they were very good, I did have envy when I saw the nachos at the other table. Everyone in our party of 6 had beef because obviously.... we had a mix of skirt, flank and filet and we all sampled and shared bites. My 2 daughters got the creamy mushroom sauces with their steaks and they loved them. The baked potatoes were SO good! We had a delicious bottle of rose with dinner that they picked out and we loved it and saved the cork so we could find it again. We barely had room for dessert but we managed to sample some brownie and tiramisu and cheesecake. This was such a fun night and we may end up coming back on our 10 day stay! Go here if you are in the mood for a good steak and nice service. Yummy

Let down by service

We booked here online. It's a lively venue with loud 80s pop music and large groups on big tables. As a couple we were put on a small table on the main walkway through the restaurant and I felt a bit like I was in a corridor. The food was of a good quality and reasonably priced (so long as like us, you keep to the smaller cuts of beef). Sadly the food was let down by the service. Most of the staff were very pleasant but out of 4 dishes for our main course, 1 was forgotten (this was rectified reasonably quickly). The big issue though was the wine waiter. Maybe there was a misunderstanding as my Spanish is limited but when I said I wanted to have some wine he took my wine list away before I'd selected my choice. Despite trying to get it back the waiter seemed keener on forcing a wine of his choice on me from a large carafe. It looked like he was trying this with every table. Eventually I managed to get another waiter to get me a wine list and I chose the wine I wanted. I would not go back.

Amazing service and steak

We were greeted by Henry with a welcoming smile. The steak was beautiful and cooked exactly how we like it. The Argentinian lager was a nice touch and my strawberry daiquiri was made with real fruit. They could not do enough for you throughout the visit, including taking photos. We mentioned that it was my birthday and they gave me a cake. The complimentary mango sorbet with champagne and vodka was beautiful. Would 100% recommend when in Barcelona.

Great Wine and Great Food

We had an amazing visit. The food is worth every penny and they can give recommendations if you are unsure on which cut of steak. The wine was superb and they are very knowledgeable. They kindly picked a great white steak wine for us. Henry was amazing too, very friendly and sorted us out with a surprise dessert. I would highly recommend. We shared a sharing steak and it was plentiful. Great cocktails too. 100% worth a visit if you're in Barcelona.

Better than I thought

I was pleasantly surprised by how good the meat was. I had the 600g ribeye to share with my teenage son and my 9 yr old who doesn’t eat much. We should have gone for the 800g. The chimichurri was outstanding and we asked for a sample of Dijon mustards which absolutely brought everything home. We also had the gambas al ajillo which were also really delicious. I would go back. The only thing I could “maybe” criticize was that this was one of the pricier meals I had in BCN. But I knew that going in so i can’t ding the rating for that. Oh and we loved the mellow salsa music in the background. Unusual playlist for an Argentinian place but we loved it.

Accidental Find - Awesome Dinner!

We had just left a brewery next door around 6 PM. We knew that restaurants would soon be extremely crowded within the next hour. We did not have reservations and luckily there was a table for two when we walked in. The hostess (manager) was incredibly nice and explained that we could only have the table for an hour until the expected reservation was coming in. The service and food was impeccable!!! The pumpkin risotto was the best I have ever had. The waiter was very knowledgeable about wines and selected several that were perfect. Eventually the hostess came up to us and was very kind and told us that we had to leave soon due to the upcoming reservation. She then offered us to go see music next door! We were exhausted but we decided to take her up on her offer. The music and the drinks were incredible! Thank you for a great night!!!
