It has tons of ancient ruins to explore—if that’s your thing—and charming beachfront towns like Chania, where you can wander the cobblestone streets and stroll along the harbor. Even the sunsets are the most beautiful, giving the coastal trails, sandy beaches, and historic lighthouses a golden glow.
