Detailed Reviews
I have always had a very comfortable overnight stay at the Stonewater and have stayed there a half dozen times or so. This place was recommended to me by a friend who is very particular about accommodations. I have never been disappointed during any of my many visits to the Stonewater. Both their motel suites and the tiny campground area are very clean, comfortable, and quiet. The mattresses are comfy, the bedding is soft, no chemical smells anywhere even though every inch of the suites including the kitchen is impeccably clean. The host, Terry, is personable and she is an animal lover so pets are quite welcome at the Stonewater.

Response from Terry G, Manager at The Stonewater Motel
Responded Mar 7, 2020
I so appreciate your comments …. the motel is a lot of hard work and I am so pleased that customers like yourself can see that. I also love to have "good guests" and you are one of them. Thank you for your kind words … Terry

I would give Stonewater Motel and Terry and her staff 6 stars of I could. Without a doubt the best motel stay I have ever had. The rooms are sparkling clean and the grounds are spacious and extremely sell kept. Lots of parking and the units each has a nice deck. The rooms has everything a person would need. The kitchen is well stocked with coffees,,tea, dishes, pots and pans and a full size stove. It is close to all the sights and venues in Pender Harbour.
If you ever get a chance to stay here you will not be disappointed. It is truly a treat!

Thanks again Terry

We were referred by the gentleman at the Grasshopper Liquor store. We were so grateful to find such a great place after a very long day. Sitting on the deck listening to the birds looking at the lush flowers was a Perfect way to set the mood for sleeping. Never heard a thing throughout the night. Bed so comfy, everything so clean. Will come back if given the opportunity.

Family owned feeling. Great equipment with kitchen incl Krug coffee maker 😀. Garden/Outside very nicely done/kept. There are also fire/grill opportunities.
Good location if on the way down back to Vancouver. 6-7 km away from Ruby lake. We would def stay here again!

I just spent 3-days in Pender Harbour and stayed at the Stonewater. The property is very clean as are the rooms. Rooms are modern and equipped with a fridge, stove, full-size coffee maker, with lots of coffee (YEAH!), plates, dishes, cutlery, etc. Also a nice sized LCD TV.
Terry, the manager, was extremley friendly and offered up a wealth of information regarding local eateries, things to do and see. The environment is very casual and quiet as you sit on your deck and enjoy a glass of wine.
The only downside was that the wireless Internet was a little flaky and I was on a work related trip. If I was with my wife or family this wouldn't matter and would be a welcome break!
Overall a great place to stay without breaking the budget.

This Motel is a very nice place to stay at for the price they ask. The rooms are kept very clean. The staff is fantastic . It is in a magical setting and even a fire pit for you can sit out at night and visit with other guests from around country and a far. They work have harded to make this motel welcoming and comfortable to stay at. It is truly a hidden gem on the Sunshine Coast. I would give it six dots if I could.

This nice motel is right on the highway, but it wasn't noisy. The rooms have small kitchens and have been recently remodeled. It was very clean and nice. The bed was a bit on the hard side for me, but that's a small issue. There is a large lawn with a fire pit and wood that you can use, as well as lawn bowling equipment. Instead of carpet, there is laminate floor in the rooms. This is not a fancy place, but like I said, the best bargain in the area.

We stayed 4 days at the Stonewater and it was so peaceful and quiet. The kitchenette is
handy if you don't want to go out and eat. We bought some groceries at Pender Harbour at
the only big market there and bar b qued our own food. The facility is run by a super nice lady
named Terry (she is the one in the middle of the "guest photos".) She has a garden which she
shares everything in the garden with the guests! Super Nice. Also she provides a big B B Q which we used and so did our neighbors. Its about a 15 min drive to Egmont to see the rapids.
Also 15 minutes to numerous lakes and beaches.
I would stay there again. Our cabin was a 1 bedroom/kitchenette style. Everything inside is new.
I've stayed in much worse places for twice the fare. This place is a gem. Terry is a great hostess.
