We went to camp during the week after Labour Day weekend, so the park was very quiet. Everything was clean and well organized, and the staff were pleasant and cooperative. We camped near the dog park, which was big and fenced. During the week we were there it was used intermittently and not too crowded.

Was a very organized campground. We booked online and everything went smoothly. We had a great site with all camping amenities available. Was pet friendly and had a wonderful dog park and dog bags were free. Nice pool. Very clean washrooms and showers. The only negative is the wifi was not very good. We were lucky and actually picked up a few tv channels. All in all we enjoyed our time at Cedar Rail Family Campgrounds and will be back.

I stayed at Cedar Rail Camp for about a week and it was wonderful! The cabins were a bit small but their were so many activities to do there I was out of the cabin for most of the time anyway. Their were lovely little trails and water activities. It wasn't too far away from many cool sites eaith. Tara was just a short distance away, and had many quaint shops there. Including a lovely bridal shop!
There were a couple nice B&B's with beautiul countryside! A great place for nature lovers!
Chesley, Ontario was also very lovely! I would also highly recommend attending the Presbyterian Reformed Church of Chesley, Ontario while you are there!
Have a great time!
P.S. Make a point to stop at Lake Huran for a lighthouse tour, and try & make it to Niagra Falls! It's well worth the extra car time!!

Our family had planned to camp here again this summer. We were going to reserve two campsites, one for ourselves and our single adult daughter, and one for our married daughter and her small family. We were told by Cedar rail that they had changed their rules this year and no longer allowed two sleeping tents on a site. We family camp so this changed things drastically for us. We decided to go to Shelter Valley in Clinton instead and had a lovely time there.

We had a nice site near the camp store and exit where there are several overnight sites. As we were leaving a group of five trailers were coming in for the weekend in our area. Our walks around the park revealed a well-kept site. The pool was clean and nice and warm. There is a 'paddle wheel' in the river that was interesting to watch. Because of Covid the hall was closed - looking in the windows it seems well-equipped and very large. A ball diamond, kids playground, dog park, pool and mini-golf provided lots of things to do for families.

Room Tip: Riverside overnight sites are backed by trees. Not sure how much of the river you can easily see.

Spent our first weekend here. Very well run park. Lots to do for all ages. Canoed up the river, did a little fishing( a couple of small bass), was in the pool swimming. Very friendly staff and campers. We will be back.

My husband and I purchased a trailer in this park this spring. Aside from it being a little noisy on the weekends (partying) it is a lovely campground. The Saugeen River runs through it for a picturesque setting. Pool could be just a little bigger or a second pool put in. Gets a bit crowded at times. Owners are great.

We live within an hour of this campground and wanted to do a family camping trip that wouldn't cost a small fortune. We took a day trip driving to ten different campgrounds. Our criteria included trailer and tent camping, a swimming pool, playgrounds for small children and a site that would accommodate two families. We also wanted a campground that was close to Southhampton and Sauble beach, (within a half hour.)This was the only campground that met all of our needs. The flexibility of the staff to accommodate us on short notice was incredible. We did obtain the only site available for five nights but we were impressed with what they had available to do. The closeness of the transient sites to the pool and comfort station, the games room and extra bonuses of cheaper rates during the week, were great assets to this campground. We found it to be well maintained and quiet even when relatively full. Perhaps the only downside would be the 30 amp only sites instead of 30/15 amp combinations. The site we stayed on was full service. There was a lot to do here, including a water trampoline for older children, pedal carts, canoes, mini-golf, and more. We would definitely, highly recommend this campground for young and old alike!
