This is a must stay place if you are up in the area. Beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean, quiet, and with lots of personal touches in the room and the lobby area. Travelling alone, I felt totally safe. One of the owners met me on arrival and was so kind. The secure lock on the front and room doors with coded entry were appreciated

I can’t believe the negative reviews here from a few people. They must be the kind of people who are never satisfied! I’ve stayed at the Inn several times over the years and, since I was last there, the added rooms, renovations, personal touches, and landscaping are a big plus. The owners will “bend over backwards” to help your visit be spectacular.

As soon as I got into the room, I felt like my two nights wouldn’t be enough. I’d have gladly stayed for a month, maybe forever.

This is a motel with such nice clean rooms that you wouldn't even know you were in a small boring town like Hanover.
They have several rooms with various sizes and price ranges that are all beautiful and unique from one another.

During my visits with my girlfriend that lived in the area, we found this place to be a great getaway that was right in town and within walking distance to many amenities.
We had the opportunity to try almost every room and each room had its perks and a different theme from walkout balconies to jacuzzis.

Check-in was easy. Last four digits of the phone number used were the codes to access the main area and the reserved room. No interaction with any of the hosts unless you spotted them during the visit.

That being said, Bob & Jackie are incredible hosts that took good care of the customers and the property.
Towels, cutlery, glasses, mugs, coffee machine, mini fridge, beautiful bathrooms and with the rooms with walkouts, they were pleasant and comfortable.

The last room I stayed in was the Yellow Rose Suite and it was an incredible room with lots of space and a beautiful bathroom with a single old fashioned bathtub and shower you would find in a luxury hotel.

TVs were generously sized and open for use of any plug-in entertainment you could bring with you.
They had a supply of books and DVDs in the lobby (including books in the Library Suite) also.

I don't know when I'll make my way back to Havover but this is definitely the place to stay at.

I was in town visiting a family aunt at the assisted living down the street. While the suites are on the main street, I was surprised at how quiet the room was. The suites are actually located at the back of the building, so the rooms are away from the main street. Very spacious and lots of parking. My bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was lovely. I was disappointed I didn't get a chance to try the whirlpool tub. Large screen TV and an electric fireplace. I would gladly visit again. I never met my hosts. The locks were computerized. I enjoyed the in-room coffee and water bottles in the fridge. Please note that breakfast is not included with your stay.

We made the trek from Mississauga to Hanover in December 2022. Very wintry weather drive but worth the trip. We stayed in the White Rose Suite and it was lovely.

Bob is the owner greyrosesuites@icloud.com 519-364-2600

The White Rose Suite includes the following:
King Bed
Fireplace
Couch and coffee table
Small fridge
Microwave
Kettle
Kuerig
Sink
Wine glasses
Balcony

It is very spacious and nicely decorated. It is a great place to stay if you are visiting family and friends over the holidays and want and need your own space.

We stayed in the King Suite and absolutely enjoyed the room. Coffee maker, frig and microwave where just some of amenities in the room. Perfect for 1 night stay over while visiting family in Hanover. We really liked the self check in option. We also appreciated the DVD movie library and watched movies in the room with the supplied DVD player. Absolutely would recommend this property to anyone travelling in the Hanover area.

We have now stayed here a few times as we have friends in nearby Elmwood. Our friends host a holiday party, and since it's a bit of a trek from Toronto, we stay overnight. They suggested this Inn, and we've now stayed in about 4 different rooms. The owners are very friendly and helpful, and the rooms are clean and spacious. There are movies and games in the lobby. This is a great choice for a family or group because most (if not all) of the rooms have a secondary sleeping area, like a bedroom or pullout couch and the rooms themselves are pretty large. Some of the rooms also include a balcony with a BBQ. The main door and all room doors have coded entry locks instead of keys. They make check-in very easy by programming the last few digits of your phone number into both doors so you can enter and exit as you please.

On our recent visit, we stayed in the Orchid room (photos attached). It was very clean and looks newly remodelled. The beds are on the firmer side. The room includes a huge bathroom, main sleeping area, living room area with couches, 4-person dining table and chairs, and separate bedroom. There was also a mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. One thing to note is that the hot water is VERY hot. They put signs and instructions about this in the washroom, so look out for that. The inn seemed to be at or near capacity, but while in our room, we didn't hear anyone else.

If you're in the area and looking for a place to stay, we highly recommend the Grey Rose Suites - we've had a nice stay every time we've been.

One thing to note is that taxis can be difficult to secure. There are two companies that we know of in the area: DC Cab closes at 6pm and Hanover Shuttle runs until either 12:30 am or 2:30 am. However, both have few cars on the road, so you may have to wait quite a while if looking for a ride on a weekend evening.

Check in very easy..
Bed comfortable amd furniture comfortable.
Nice set up but found the Library suite cold especially the floors.
The only heat source seems to be the electric fireplace?? Nice big tub but way to cold to think about using it. We grabbed a blanket from the car till the room warmed up.
Having a microwave, fridge and coffee maker was great.
We needed to heat the room first before we could use them as a notice said it would blow the circuit if operated at the same time…so dinner was on hold till it warmed up.

Read a review after getting home and a comment about the baseboards being dusty and dirty..we actually found the same thing and paint peeling in the bathroom ceiling. Just could use some fresh paint.
Would stay upstairs maybe next time as we were awaken at 6:00 by heavy foot steps in the suite above us,

The library suite was lovely. Well decorated and very clean. The whirlpool tub was much appreciated after a long day on the road. Having a quality coffee maker was also a bonus...with real cream in the fridge! The owners were friendly and helpful.
My only suggestion would be that perhaps the king bed is getting "tired". It was a little hard and has a definite lump in the middle.
Overall I would highly recommend the Grey Rose. Exceptional quality for the price!

Enormous rooms. Nice and quiet. Lovely owners. Security codes so no pesky keys to lose. I have already booked several return visits.
You get more for your money.
I always stay here because it is right across the road from the old Baptist church which now has music concerts (Michal Schmidt) all year round. Book here instead of driving to Best Western in Walkerton !!!

Wow is all i can say. My adult daughter, who is rarely speechless was. We had the Yellow Rose Suite. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom suite complete with a claw-foot tub and marbled shower with a rain head. Second bathroom was also roomy with sink and toilet only. Pure bliss. The patio was private. Very high end amenities. They left nothing out with the decor. What a nice retreat.Could not believe the price,so reasonable. Check in was by phone number no contact with front desk unless needed. Very Covid friendly.
