Super clean room (#526). Not one flaw to be found. Even the pullout bed was clean.
We did have to request extra blanket because the pullout bed/couch is directly in front of the air conditioner.
It took 3 requests until we got the blanket. That is the only issue that we had and was not a big deal.

Breakfast was good for people hitting the town.

Room rate was very pricy for a Hampton Inn. Had to offset with some HH points.

Expensive but holds to Hampton expectations.

The best decision I made for my sneak away to LA. I had also reserved a “5 star” in Beverly Hills, but saw sooooooooooooo many negative revies, that I’m glad I canceled and chose this Hampton Inn & Suites.

Checkin – spectacular; late at night and customer service was at an all time high!
Room – clean; neat; amazing; spacious – we got the King Studio Suite. We were there for a while and it was just what we needed.
Breakfast – box was amazing ... I'm sure when restriction lift, they will go back to the Hampton traditions.
Parking – worth it, always felt safe
Security – I felt safe and noticed a guard working over the weekend.
Staff – everyone was SPECTACULAR
Housekeeping – we requested full service once and just kept getting new towels the other days. No issues at all. Because of covid, service is not done everyday, u do have to request it.
Business Center was open, I did use it also.
We never made it to the pool or the fitness center. We had a packed itinerary. You could tell this was pretty new and if I returned I will be staying here. The location is perfect.

Thanks everyone at the H I&S Hollywood! Can’t wait to see yal again!

Arrived in LA late at night from the East coast to begin our epic CA/NV adventure. After picking up the rental car at the airport, we headed straight to the hotel. The front desk staff were super welcoming, and informed us about the continental breakfast. We hadn’t eaten in 7 hours, so we grabbed a few item in the lobby snack area. The front desk staff member suggested items be charged to the room (we must have looked tired). The free breakfast the next morning was delicious (hot meal of sausage and potatoes and waffles). The location was perfect for a quick walk to see the Hollywood Star walk. There’s a fabulous farmers market on the weekend just up the street. SO glad we stumbled into this. One of the best farmers markets I’ve seen. If you have 20 minutes of spare time in the am, go check out the incredible selections of fruits, vegetables, flowers, chocolates, drinks and more at the market. We ended up having a second breakfast :-)

I usually only write a review for an excellent stay or one I extremely disappointed in. The rooms here are beautiful and that is the only positive I have. Our room was beyond noisy. How can a brand new hotel not have windows to block the outside sounds? Or even block the herd of I am not quite sure what that were in the room above us? When we were given that room, I asked for a higher floor as I had read about road noise and was told no other room was available. Breakfast was ok. Waffles only offered in gluten free - why not both gluten and non-gluten free options? Food was cold most of the days bc people would leave top of buffet open and the workers didn't close it. They seem to work hard but were not friendly. And so many rude guests here leaving all their breakfast items on the table to be picked up by someone else. The pool is tiny and again so much noise it is definitely not relaxing. Additionally the hotel was informed of the special occasion we were celebrating and not a word about it (or the room change we asked for) My husband did complain about the noise and was told yes that is a noisy room and they comped us the parking fees. Its a beautiful hotel but that's about it.

The plus side, the rooms are newer and the location is central.

Uber to Universal was reasonable. $12 each way.

Parking can get expensive real quick, I highly recommend not getting a rental car and just Uber everywhere instead

As for everything else, there's better hotels for the money within a stone's throw of this location.

My 13 year old son and I went to experience LA over a long weekend. We stayed at the Hampton because we thought we'd like to spend some time in Hollywood. The hotel itself looked new, but the location is terrible (just too far to walk to anything, and not in the greatest neighborhood), and valet is mandatory at another 30 bucks per night after you already pay a high rate. Beyond that, Hollywood is overcrowded and not worth the time. We had a better experience in Santa Monica, North Hollywood, and Beverly Hills. Save yourself time and energy, and book a cheaper hotel within 15 miles of Hollywood, and just drive there to park and sightsee if you go there at all. The hike to the Hollywood sign was awesome, but not all that close to the actual sights of Hollywood.

I really researched where to stay in Hollywood since the area can be very sketchy. This property is really nice. The area around is OK but that is Hollywood in general. This hotel was clean, felt very safe and the staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. It was super quiet at night. In the morning breakfast was included and there were many great choices including waffles, omelets and yogurt bar. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Booked this last minute on AAA as I needed a place to stay solo in Hollywood that would be Safe, taking Covid precautions and also have parking. Parking was part of my package and included the valet parking. From the Valet Staff, front desk, Housekeeping and Breakfast staff all were very friendly. During this time the hotel does require all to be wearing masks indoors. Breakfast they have staff to Serve the hot foods and most items are wrapped in plastic. The room was clean and comfortable. Lots of outlets and USB plugs.

My expectations were exceeded! From the moment we drove up, the valet staff greeted us incredibly friendly and were very helpful in unloading our car and were always quick and careful to take and bring our car to us. The front desk staff was very friendly, met our every need, and welcomed us as if it were our home. The hotel is new, has clean amenities, deliciously prepared buffet breakfast, and there are a ton of great restaurants and bars in the area. Looking forward to our next vacation in Los Angeles!Special to thanks to Luis for the great customer service!

As a twenty year, currently Diamond tier Member of Hilton Honors, I did not expect my confirmed reservation to be cancelled while I was on a transcontinental flight for six hours. Once landing and receiving my e-mail notifying me at 9pm that I would not have a hotel room, I was told by both the hotel and Hilton Honors that there was nothing they could do.

The next day, arriving at the hotel after sleeping in a rental car, we spoke to the manager who stated they attempted to call atleast five times. I told her I was on a flight. She stated that the card on file was not valid. I told her I could have given her a different card, but this could’ve been handled at booking, rather than an hour before my arrival from the other side of the country. This had horrible undertones of a hotel looking to quickly sell a room which was already otherwise committed, which is an absolutely horrible business practice.

The manager stated she was sorry for our inconvenience, offered me an upgraded room, comped the valet parking, and gave me four bottles of water.

The “upgraded” room had no view like the one the manager had advertised, had a shower door that would not stay shut, had a giant stain on the couch, and was never once cleaned by housekeeping. This all would be classless and poor practice in normal times, however, in a Global Pandemic, this is completely negligent.

The best thing about my stay was the bottles of water. I am extremely disheartened and still pretty frustrated about the entire experience.

If Hilton actually cares, I have photos to support every claim.

Unfortunately, your credit card was declining the day of the arrival as our team was trying to pre-authorize it. I know our team attempted to reach out to you several times via phone and email to get that updated, but were unsuccessful, which is why the reservation was unfortunately cancelled. When you arrived next day, we tried to explain the policy and provided you with some concessions to make your stay special, such as an upgraded suite, waters, and even comped your parking. I am so very sorry that the experience did not live up to your expectations and that you did not receive the service that our guests rave about. Hello, how close is the location from universal studio?

Universal Studio is about 20 min drive based on traffic. Maybe faster if you get on the fwy, but you can take surface streets if that's easier for you. Hampton is very close to the fwy on-ramp. hope that helps.
