We can hear the waves from our bed and every morning we wake up to a gorgeous view of the beautiful blue/green water. The units are modern and have everything you could possibly need. You are right on the water and have a fairly private beach right off the pool. Someone cleans your unit once a week and they have someone to tidy up around the pool twice a day. We were also welcomed by local island selections like coconut bread from a local bakery and an artisan rum punch in our fridge when we arrived. The building is also monitored by a guard at night and weekends and office staff during working hours.

A month in this beautiful location passed in the blink of an eye. Unit 201 was a clean and comfortable space to spend our time in Barbados. The secret to a most enjoyable is attributable to Toni and her accommodating presence. Every day a friendly good morning and upbeat attitude. I mentioned the kitchen knives were rather dull. She and her husband came up with a knife sharper to sharpen all the knives. Beyond the call of duty in my opinion and a minor issue resolved quickly. Early morning swims in the ocean and pool, long periods of reading and sunbathing, fish fry nights at nearby Oistens and meeting other travellers are what
memories are made of.

Arriving on the 17th of March, having escaped the chaos of Covid 19 in the united Kingdom. Masks compulsory for everyone, We released very soon that we would be safer in Barbados than risking the journey back. Thank goodness they canceled our BA flight forcing us to remain for 9 weeks.
The government had it all sorted. From closing shops, beaches, all public places. from the 1st April. No planes arriving except returning Bajans, who were immediately quarantined in a secure government facility. With first class testing they kept the virus away from the general public. The management kept us informed of any new rules, the fines were draconian $50,000 if you disobeyed, or one year in prison. How lucky we were to be in a lovely 2 bedroom self catering apartment with access to a pool and terrace. Only 3 other apartments occupied, and we never crossed paths, with the pool area virtually to ourselves. We will never forget how kind and helpful Suzanne Andrew and Mark were, we shared information and food, and even a few contraband beers when we ran out, as there was a booze ban. We left with sadness on the 19th May. We hope to return but will it ever be the same?

We stayed in apt 302 for 2 weeks. Great location and we felt very secure and safe in the property. Apt as described and how it looked in photos. Great amenities. I cannot fault the service we received from Anna and the management. They were so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. Our cleaner was excellent and they visited more than expected.
My daughters room (facing the main road) was noisy in the morning due the bus horns (if you know, you know) starting quite early but it did not bother her too much. The shower took a while to heat up but again, not an issue for us.
We had a car hire but used a taxi up to the Gap which cost around $15 USD and was in walking distance of Oistins , about 20 minutes I would think.

Just returned from 2 weeks at MBV. It was a superb apartment which was accurately portrayed in the pictures on the booking site. The grounds were beautiful and well maintained. Nice little pool to cool down in and plentiful sunbeds, a few more steps and you are on a lovely little beach and into the crystal clear sea. The location is ideal, being between Oistins and the Gap. Transport options are plentiful and cheap. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked, though we never used it, apart from making tea and coffee in the mornings. The balcony is great for sitting out in the evenings with a drink, listening to the waves crashing in. Mark and Anna were very prompt in replying to any queries, both before and during our trip. If we return to Barbados, I wouldn't stop anywhere else.

Maxwell Beach Villa is an amazing place to base yourself while on this beautiful island. It is very central to all other places to visit and lots of cafe and restaurants within 2km. Clean, comfortable and with great views. Toni, Suzanne and their whole team work tirelessly to make everyone’s stay a pleasurable experience. I couldn’t fault the apartment! The dishwasher broke while we stayed but it was quickly sorted. The pool area was always clean and lots of empty beds. The access to the beach is super convenient. Yes, there were weeds on certain days and certain times of the day but that’s mothers nature and it was the same on some of the other popular beaches too. If we are to ever come back to Barbados, we will stay at this place again without shadow of the doubt.
A comfortable home away from home! Thanks Toni and Suzanne for your island insights and making this a memorable trip for us.

This was our first time using VRBO and we rented unit 201 from Peter Gooding. Well I can tell you this Villa was awesome in every way. Clean, roomy, all the amenities that you would have in your own place, high end appliances, dishes, linens, bedding, air conditioning, view, ease to the pool and beach all TOP SELF !! Peter is excellent as well he's always available to help with anything to do with your Villa ! cezar keeps a watchful eye over the facilities and was always pleasant and helpful. The beach and the water are perfect for either a litter body surfing or just relaxing in the ocean. The balcony is awesome - you can enjoy the sounds of the ocean right at your door step. Highly recommend this place to anyone. Two great bedrooms for a family or two couples sharing an island vacation.

We stayed at Maxwell Beach Villas for about two weeks in April 2014 in unit 403. The unit was
just as pictured online- spacious, nicely furnished, upscale kitchen and bathrooms and a huge
outdoor balcony. We were in an end unit so we had gorgeous sea views both front and side.
Honestly we spent a good amount of time relaxing on the balcony-- the view was perfect for a
simple breakfast or wine in the evening. The color of the sea continually amazed and captivated us. Both bedrooms were quite spacious, and the front one had sliding glass doors opening to
the balcony . Nice to wake up and see the Caribbean. And also it was soothing to listen to the
waves all night. Missed that when I got home. The whole villa complex was very well cared for.
The plantings around the pool area were lovely and the beach was just a few steps away.
There were always plenty of lounge chairs at the pool for everyone. The pool was never
really crowded during our stay. The beach is pretty and very uncrowded. No vendors at all
trying to sell things. There were a few rocks at the closest point but we had to walk down the
beach only a few steps more to get away from the rocks. Other people swam over the coral
and seemed to have no problem with it. I don't like rough swimming and found I could swim and
float around in the sea very comfortably. Toward the end of our stay there were some unusual
winds that exposed more rock on the beach and caused the beach area to be smaller. We were
told that this happens at times but that the tides and waves then return the sand to the beach.
We were able to swim even with this situation but you had to time it a little more carefully with
the tides. We found the villa to be peaceful and quiet. Occasionally we would hear some
island music from Oistins (there was a big festival) but it was actually kind of nice hearing it.
Maxwell Villas is in a quieter part of Christ Church compared to Hastings, the Gap, Worthing,
etc. We had thought about staying in a hotel in the more crowded areas and were really glad
we picked Maxwell instead. We had a rental car the whole time and there was always plenty
of parking available. We felt that the elegant unit we had was a very good bargain at the price.
I must mention Caesar who is a security person on duty a lot of the day. I can not say enough
good things about this warm, helpful, friendly man. He was always there to welcome us back
from day trips, to offer helpful suggestions of all kinds, and to help us feel totally safe.
He helped us figure out a glitch in our rental car and even called us at 4:00 a.m. to make
sure we got up for our flight home. And he did this on his own time- wasn't even on duty then.
When you are travelling in a foreign country someone like Caesar makes you feel very
welcomed. Just a very special human being. Thanks Caesar!!!

I must say it’s disappointing to read such harsh reviews on this property because of seaweed on the beaches. Blame that on Mother Nature and not Maxwell Beach Villas. My family and I just returned from 9 beautiful nights at the Villas and the beach right outside the property — and the entire stretch of beach — were beautiful!!! 8 days of absolutely NO SEAWEED. 1 day there was a little seaweed following a big storm the night before (nothing worse than I’ve seen after a big rain on the Jersey shore......and not enough to keep us out of the water). Check out the pic!

As for the lovely ladies who managed the property and assisted with any of our needs — from booking activities, arranging airport transport, and any condo needs.....Renae and Suzanne were awesome! Renae and I started communicating weeks before our arrival when I started to inquire about the accommodations and airport shuttle. Every question was immediately responded to the same day and thoroughly answered. And I can be a pest (....does condo have beach towels, is local transportation close by and easy to do, can you help arrange airport shuttle.....and so on). By the way.....yes to all!😊 They are on-site and you pass them on your way in and out each day and they are there to greet you with a smile and help ensure a comfortable stay.

Renae connected us with a taxi driver “Bertie” who picked us up at the airport and who also gave us a 4 hour island tour. What a treat to have an island tour with someone who is so friendly and has such pride for his island. Connect with Bertie! You will feel like old friends after spending a few hours together.

Building security is very good! - 24/7 - though we felt safe on the property and the surrounding main area. Walked to local restaurants — including Butterfly hotel which is just next door. Very good food.

Well I believe I’ve shared enough for you to know we would definitely return to this property! A special thank you to Renae for making us feel at home!

I think it depends on terms and conditions of the rental. Standard is once a week for most apartments however it is good to clarify prior to renting.
