We had a brilliant stay at Dreams.
2 adults + a 2.5 year old.

We were in the main building with a partition room with two very comfy sofas in although we didn’t use as this was our toddlers bedroom. We had a king size bed which was very comfy and the pillows were like clouds. So nice to be able to separate ourselves in the evening and could happily sit on the balcony and sneak back in when we wanted to go back to bed.

Breakfast was delicious and our favourite was the seafood restaurant which we ate at most nights and the service, wine and steaks were incredible. The rib special of the day was enormous and went down well with the husband. The profiteroles may be my favourite desert ever! Loved the cod in the Greek restaurant and the lobster moussaka was delicious too. Loved having espresso martini’s, margaritas and freshly made lattes each morning. The biscuits on tap in the bar area came in handy to stop a few meltdowns too!

Evening entertainment was great, in particular the Greek music night.

Gym was great - both indoor and outdoor.

We got the bus to corfu town which was great too and braved a walk round the bay (the roads are busy) but found a great pool restaurant with views of kameno bay which was exceptional.

The waitresses and waiters were so attentive and were brilliant with requirements for little ones and understanding portion size needs, especially when we only wanted small ice cream portions late at night!

Views from our balcony were lovely too.

We only used the pool that overlooked the sea as you can’t beat a sea view (the other pool looked great though) and sun beds were fine to get and the shallow water on the steps was brilliant with a non swimmer.

We went in the kids club which was excellent but as ours was too young to stay we only went in once but would be great for anyone with kids old enough.

Rooms cleaned daily by the same cleaner who was always friendly and loved the shampoo, conditioner, body was and lotion that was in the room.

I can’t fault the hotel overall and would love to come back and felt very welcome.

Dreams

Just came back from the Dreams Resort in Corfu, had a great family holiday, enjoyed all the amenities, the 2 pools were safe and clean, the sea was a stones throw away with great activities at affordable costs. The 3 restaurants provided varied assortments of well presented cuisines all cooked to a high standard, the desserts were very tasty, together with an abundance of cocktails from around the world.
Would like to give a mention to a member of staff named Niki, who went above and beyond the call of duty, she made our stay there very comfortable and extremely welcoming. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

We travelled as a party of 10 split across three rooms and as many generations. The wow factor is definitely here, walking into the calm and tranquil Rendevouz bar on arrival and greeted with cold drinks was the welcome we craved. We were honestly just happy the hotel opened and aware of the facilities not open for 2022.

We as a family of 4 had a family suite with sea view which had a stunning view. You cannot beat the views here. Room 671 is in the main block and you can hear the evening entertainment until 11pm, which was ok for us but if you have younger children the noise is fairly loud. We had storage but our relatives over the hotel didn’t, which seems strange. People don’t want to live out of suitcases ok holiday but hopefully winter 2022 will bring more wardrobes, mirrors and dressing units.

There were a couple of teething issues with power cuts and an early alarm going off through the hotel but we went expecting teething issues and everything got sorted.

The staff worked with smiles and the service was excellent. We didn’t expect table service so expectations were managed. The cocktails were amazing as was the food, couldn’t fault it. We ate in the Greek once and the Seagrill by the Sea twice. The latter had the edge but mostly for the amazing views.

As the holiday went on the stuff remembered our drinks and had them ready on request, these are the touches.

We took the boat trip at the Jetty (dimitries is the boat) for a half day to stunning swimming by caves and a tiny Greek village, along with Spiros’ ouzo this is a highly recommended trip and while not linked to the hotel, well worth the reasonable cost and Spiros is lovely. We also took his water taxi to Corfu one evening.

The buffet was excellent, well laid out and exceptional omelettes from the omelette chef. Perhaps there could be a bit more veg on the childrens station? Otherwise my children were happy to eat the rest of the food on offer, and it was so good.

Yes there are wasps but that is Corfu in August, not just Dreams. There are wasps at Ikos. If you ask for burning coffee near your table this deters them, or eat after sunset.

The vibe of the hotel was perfect for us, spotlessly clean, both pools fantastic and no problem getting 6 loungers at 9.30 am, there were plenty. Lifeguards very vigilant. We met some lovely people, we are here for a good time and Dreams with its relaxed luxury provided us with the time to completely switch off and relax. Nothing to worry about apart from which cocktail to have next.

We are sad to be home. Would we recommend, yes. Would we go back, yes. I am dreaming of cocktails and those views.

Overall we were extremely disappointed by our stay.

To summarise, it’s not a 5 star so don’t go there thinking it is.

On arrival, we thought wow to the building and facilities. We were the first to walk in and after 90 minutes we were the last ones still waiting.

That set the tone for the rest of the week unfortunately. Slow service and staff that were in a hurry to not do much.

The buffet itself was well presented with a good choice. It wasn’t until the last night when I met Andreas who was the only competent member of staff I encountered (and one young lady on concierge who mainly worked a morning shift, I’m sorry I have forgotten your name).

We made reservations at all three a La carte restaurants and were asked about allergies. No efforts were made to cater for the gluten free in our group. Yai yai (Greek) was a terrible experience, 30 minutes of asking for drinks and even to see a menu. When one of the two starters came we were told the second was out of stock, the mains arrived prior to the starter/appetiser plates being cleared and we left swiftly after the last mouthful.
The service at the Italian was slightly better but again, no gluten free options offered other then a bowl of chips.
After this we ate out at local restaurants for evening meals at tavernas such as Aries and Leon. Aries put on a small performance around 10pm everyday and the food was traditional Greek plates.
Room service wasn’t really sure what he was doing and essentially delivered what he wanted.

House keeping was lapse, our sheets were not changed in our week long visit and most days they didn’t attend until late afternoon. Dirty crockery was left on the paths through out the entire estate.

One night we smashed a glass in our room, it took over 40 minutes for housekeeping to arrive. I’d already swept the bulk up with a hand towel which was kindly folded and put back on the childrens bed.

The pools had quite a build up of algae in them and were slippy under foot. If you can get a sun bed at the beach or beach pool then that’s a miracle. People either put towels out early or didn’t put them in the towel bin when leaving and staff were In short supply for clearing up towels/ glassware during the day.

These were just the main points that stood out to us unfortunately. Thankfully family time was more important to us so enjoyed our time together. There was plenty of wildlife around too Otters, swans, bats, hedgehogs, praying mantas, CATS… which was lovely

We did hire a boat from Funsea Corfu one day and sailed over to Gylfa for lunch which I’d highly recommend.

We arrived late evening but received a very warm welcome by the staff on duty. We were taken to our accommodation which was to a very high standard. The room was spacious and well appointed. There was a bottle of wine to welcome us and the staff who showed us to our room explained everything to us and told us that if there was anything we needed we had just to phone reception . The following morning as we made our way to breakfast we saw that the resort was set in a lovely location with great views in all directions. We found that staff were extremely helpful and again nothing was too much trouble.
This thread continued throughout our stay . There were several restaurants to choose from with a very good selection on the menus.
Dreams resort Corfu was one of the best holiday resorts that we have stayed at . I would certainly recommend it if you want an all inclusive 5 star holiday.

My recent stay at Corfu Dreams Resort and Spa was a memorable experience that left me with a generally positive impression. The resort boasts a beautiful setting, excellent amenities, and attentive staff, making it a delightful destination for a relaxing vacation.

The resort's location is simply stunning and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that my needs were met throughout my stay.

Dreams offers a wide array of dining options to cater to every culinary desire but the seaside grill was my favorite!
Giannis was the epitome of professionalism. His warm smile and friendly demeanor made me feel instantly welcomed. The hostess, whose name unfortunately slipped my memory, impressed me by her ability to find a table for me on my very first day, even though I had not made any prior reservations.

However, despite the many positive aspects, there were a couple of areas where I felt the resort could improve. Firstly, my room, while clean and comfortable, could benefit from some updating. The furnishings felt slightly outdated, and a minor renovation could enhance the overall ambiance of the accommodation. Additionally, while the majority of the staff were attentive and friendly, there were a few instances where I noticed slight delays in service, especially during peak times in the dining areas.

With some minor improvements in room aesthetics and service efficiency, Corfu Dreams has the potential to become a solid 5-star destination. I would gladly consider returning in the future for another wonderful stay.

5 star hotel just lacks a few 5 star necessities, the hotel is absolutely beautiful with beautiful views and the staff are amazing, there’s just a few things that knock the hotel down on 5 star service.

the “swim up” pool bar the staff do not look at this area to see people are waiting. you have to exit the pool and go to the actual bar, although welcoming and friendly.
the staff will come around and collect dirty glasses but it would be better if they offered you a drink at your sunbed no need to get up and make use of those all inclusive drinks ( I am picky having been other 5 star resorts and had this service)

If you do wish to avoid the wasps I recommend the lagoon pool! The infinity pool for us was not useable, the wasps were constantly around you, which is a shame because it’s where my partners favourite, gyros are !

We are in a sea view bungalow, it is small (but the size of the room is stated on the website you can’t complain there), 1 chair in the room a mirror inside the wardrobe. You can cast from your phone/tablet onto the tv which is excellent! there is a small sea view nothing magnificent as I have to stand on my balcony and turn to see the view. Would be better to advertise this as a “side sea view”.
Storage is limited in the room, but manageable purely because my boyfriend lives out of his suitcase !
Nothing major but it would be nice if they stocked the mini fridge in your room with alcohol too! We have 2 beers and 1 of each soft drinks and water.

Wasps are an issue in parts of the hotel, not their fault it’s nature, however the seaside grill restaurant is all outside, having had one of the best steaks I’ve ever had in there last night it was ruined by the wasps we had to leave dessert and went to the main buffet for it instead (as did several other customers) sadly as the restaurant is all outside, we will not return to it which only leaves the 1 Greek a la carte restaurant or buffet for the remainder of our stay.

The buffet is nice, some food cooked to order by staff always with a welcoming smile! (Which is more than I can say for the male sighing his way though his shift as the host of the buffet last night) the young lady host is lovely always a smile on her face asking how your stay or day has been

The spa, is amazing, the staff are amazing so we had the couples 105 minute scrub and oil massage and it was spectacular to say the least !

We have 4 more days here during our trip I know I’ve really highlighted the “bad” parts but overall this is a beautiful hotel, I probably wouldn’t rush back but I don’t regret booking either.

It’s also worth mentioning although this is fully advertised as a 5* hotel, the taxes you pay per room per night are actually for a 4* hotel

We were due to arrive in July but were pushed back to the end of August as the hotel refurbishment wasn't complete (it still wasn't when we arrived as restaurants pools and some of the accommodation advertised weren't available). However we have friends who've had great holidays at a couple of Dreams resorts in the Caribbean so we decided to stick with this hotel and move dates. As a result we've just come back after a 10 night stay and, disappointingly, after the stress of having to rearrange holidays with work etc. I have to echo the other reviews and say that it just doesn't live up to it's marketing or it's pricing.

In summary it's just not very well executed. For example we stayed in a two room sea view family suite, it wasn't possible to tell when booking but these are in the main part of the hotel right above the terrace bar where there was loud entertainment until around 11 every evening. The old (un-refurbished) balcony doors did nothing to dampen the noise so not great for a family with small children. Why put your family rooms in the loudest part of the hotel?

Food was ok but incredibly repetitive, kids meals were two kinds of pasta, burger or nuggets for the entire time we were there. It was always tepid.

There were loads of other small niggles, wasps everywhere, the LED in the smoke alarm above the bed flashed all night and randomly went off a couple of times per day, the housekeeping was clean towels and making the bed, no actual cleaning which is not the standard I've experienced in other 5* hotels.

When I went to complain at reception about the smoke alarms there were explanations but few solutions e.g. "your smoke alarm is on the same circuit as the kitchens and the flashing shows that it's working". Maintenance did come and stick a bit of masking tape over the light (which made very little difference). Still when I was lying awake with it flashing in my eyes at least I could rest assured it was working and I'd be the first to know if they'd burnt anything in the kitchen.

On another day (when I'd got up at 7.15 to get a sun bed so wasn't in the best of moods) a boy was hit in the face with a sun umbrella that came out of it's holder due to a gust of wind. Their answer was to send the lifeguard around to tell everyone to take their umbrellas down, at 2pm, in 32 degree heat, with no other shade. Why not send maintenance around to check them all? The answer to the problem of people getting hit by an umbrella can't be to give everyone else sun stroke! Unsurprisingly everyone just put them up again the next day.

To end on the positives...we did have two lovely trips to the White House at Kalami Bay (where Gerard Durrell lived) and Corfu Town which is beautiful and has some great museums. Staff (with the exception of reception staff who were totally disinterested) were friendly and tried their best to help. The view was stunning, the pools were very clean and the decor was lovely. There are the bones of a great hotel so it's probably all fixable but from what I could tell you'd need to quickly draft in a management team that have run proper 5* hotels before .

We had a fantastic stay at Dreams and have rated it 4 stars simply because we wouldn't quite describe it at 5 stars, but that was our expectation with the price point, so we were more than happy!

Rooms
We were in a bungalow which wasn't considerably more expensive than the main building, and I'd really recommend paying slightly more for it as the rooms were much nicer and far more private.

Food
The buffet was great, lots of options including for veggies, all tasted really fresh and regularly replenished during serving. The A La Carte restaurants were okay, but note that there are only 2 open in the evenings, the other 2 are lunch only. We preferred the buffet.

Drinks
Although there were common brands of spirits, we did feel that the quality of cocktails was slightly lacking compared to other all inclusives we've visited. Polishing the staples like mojitos, margaritas and pina coladas is all that's needed! The house wine was poor, but you can pay for better from the wine list, but definitely something that could easily be improved on. That being said, the bar staff happily made cocktails that weren't on the menu which was great.

Pools/Facilities
There are lots of families at the hotel, so if you are looking for a more peaceful holiday, an adults only hotel might be a better option. The pools are particularly busy with small children but we found the beach area much quieter and spent most of our time there. Some reviews mention the pools being cold, but I wouldn't have said they were. Really easy to find sunbeds in all areas, although that might be different at peak times.

Staff
We found all the staff really welcoming and attentive. There was the odd day it took a bit longer for plates to be cleared or drinks service was slower, but that's to be expected with so many employees and early in the season. They were especially helpful when our hire car got a flat tire.

Other
The location of the hotel was great, being central in the island made it easy to go exploring elsewhere, which I'd really recommend. We hired a little boat at Barbati Beach from Spiros Boat Hire and spent the day hopping along beaches up the north east coast. Corfu Town is lovely for a mooch about and to take in some culture. Palaiokastritsa is a very pretty but busy beach on the west of the island. We booked a day excursion to visit Paxos and Antipaxos which was absolutely beautiful, highly recommend!

Overall, for the price point, a great family friendly hotel with lovely food, cheery staff and good facilities!

Dear 289katet, Thank you for sharing your detailed review and for choosing Dreams Corfu for your stay. It's wonderful to hear that you had a fantastic time and felt the hotel offered great value for the price point. Your feedback on the bungalow rooms is appreciated; it’s good to know that the slight extra cost was worthwhile for the added privacy and comfort. Glad you enjoyed the buffet with its fresh and varied options, especially for vegetarians. Noted on the A La Carte restaurants and the limited evening options. Regarding the drinks, your comments about the cocktails and house wine are valuable. Improving the staples like mojitos, margaritas, and pina coladas is a great suggestion. It’s nice to hear the bar staff were accommodating with off-menu cocktails. The insight about the pools and the family-friendly atmosphere is useful. For those seeking a quieter experience, the beach area seems to be a better option. Also, it’s great that finding sunbeds wasn’t an issue during your stay. Your positive remarks about our staff's welcoming and attentive nature are appreciated. It’s understandable that service can vary, especially early in the season, and we’re glad to hear our team was particularly helpful when you had a flat tire with your hire car. The hotel's central location does make exploring the island convenient. Thank you for sharing your adventures, from hiring a boat at Barbati Beach to visiting Corfu Town, Palaiokastritsa, and taking a day trip to Paxos and Antipaxos. These recommendations will be helpful for future guests. Overall, it’s great to hear you found Dreams Corfu to be a lovely, family-friendly hotel with good food, cheerful staff, and solid facilities. We hope to welcome you back in the future! Warm regards, Guest Experience Team Dreams Corfu

We didn’t use them a lot, but it’s fair to say there was high occupancy by mid-morning. Later in the day it was much easier. But there are a lot of beds and I think unless you want prime location you will always be able to find one.

I don’t believe you can book via the app; you have to use the Guest Relations desk in the reception area

The preferred guests area which is the premium guests pool is for people who pay the substantial extra , I think children could use that pool if they were a premium family .
