We visited Warrenmang on a online deal. I would have walked out as soon as I'd seen the accommodation and asked for my money back if I had paid full price. On arrival we were shown to our room in The Lodge. My first impression is not for the wider publics consumption but I felt like I had stepped back into a horrible homage to the 70's. Peach, wood & floral abounded. The room was spacious enough, the decor was horrific though. The ensuite was in need of major repair with tiles lifting and as I found out a roller blind that did not work (it fell on my head when I tried to get it to move). Off we went to dinner (I still can't find it on the fine print) but because we had the deal and were entitled a free entree we were looking forward to choosing one from the list until we were told Oh you can only have the duck pate or the squid, neither my Husband or I eat either of those 2 things. Possible the only 2 things on the menu I would not eat and I'm told thats all I can have. To the waiters credit he went away and we came to a comprise and we were able to order the Tempura Vegies & Caramelised pear with Soignon goats cheese salad. Some of the Tempura batter still had flour lumps in it but it was edible. The main meal was delicious we had the pork belly & the salmon. On hearing the next table be told that they could only have 2 specific desserts (same deal) dessert was free the 2nd night. We decided that 1 night in the restaurant would do us. The restaurant staff where great. So to breakfast, the absolute saving grace for this place. Breakfast is included and it is fantastic. Again great staff. Spent the day touring other wineries and the western district of Victoria. Had a lovely day and called into the Avoca Hotel for dinner, on the way back to Warrenmang, HIGHLY Recommend this place for eating. Then the horror of check out. The lady at the desk was rude and completely disinterested in delivering any type of customer service. MY GOD we wanted to taste some wine from the cellar door, how dare we was the impression we got. So we didn't and just left. The irony of all this, is next to reception is a proudly displayed plaque stating that the they had won a 2014 Golden Plate award for Customer Service. Must have changed staff or the judges didn't get to meet this particular employee.

An easy drive from melbourne through some gorgeous conuntryside and we arrived at Warrenmang. Picturesque views from the main buildings down across the vines. Loved spotting the Kangaroos drinking from the dam at dusk.
Had good dinner both nights in the restaurant and were treated like old friends by the team (Kevin & Linda).
Would strongly recommend as a weekend destination for wine lovers - make sure Luigi autographs your bottle of award winning Black Puma Shiraz, it's a lovely touch and a great reminder of our stay.

Warrenmang Vineyard & Resort is located in the beautiful Pyrenees, part of the Great Dividing Range. The area is a well known wine region featuring many award winning wineries. Visitors will delight in the abundance of wildlife, in particular native birds, wallabies and kangaroos ... keep your eyes peeled for the attractive blue wrens!!! We were upgraded to a Chalet style room overlooking the vineyard. Whilst our room was clean, warm and comfortable, it was firmly stuck in the '70s and would benefit from some modernising. The restaurant was a highlight ... the food was delicious. The first night I had the mussels and my wife had a chicken salad, we shared a cheese platter. We decided to go back the following night. I had the porterhouse steak and Jo had the pasta. We shared a walnut and sour cream tart that was both amazingly presented and a delicious way to finish the meal. Kevin, our waiter, made the meal time enjoyable with his attentiveness and humour. Another highlight was our walk up the hill to a viewing area that provided a stunning view of the valley. Had it been warmer, we would have asked to have a picnic with wine (can be arranged at the restaurant or office) to enjoy the view in style!!! The wines were flavoursome with prices ranging from $15 upwards (20% off for resort guests). In hindsight we should have had a glass of wine at the restaurant with our meal and opened the bottle in our room which was $10 cheaper for the same wine. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We booked the lodge ( Supposed to have been 5 bedrooms , king sized beds, ensuites, full kitchen, lounge room, TV, WiFi etc ) 3 months in advance , upon arrival we were told that where we had booked was not available so they moved us to another smaller unit with 5 bedrooms and ensuites, however there was a total of 8 adults and the dining table only had 5 chairs,

There was no kitchen, no cooking appliances, no lounge room, i tiny bar fridge that was not even turned on, the heating did not work at all and the showers had no water to them at all. (This we found out later in the night when some went to shower).

The decking was all worn and one of our group twisted their ankle when a board gave way.

The place is an absolute disgrace and is advertised falsely, we called the contact for the site on AIRBNB and told them of the issues and they did not really care.

In the gateway the Australian flag was flying upside down with Chinese flags on either side, DISGRACEFUL.

In short, the place is terrible, the contacts are rude and the place is extremely worn out and downright dangerous.

We left the next day as the place was totally inhabitable, we were supposed to be refunded the balance of our accomodation payment as well as the cleaning fee, this too was not received as promised.

Steer clear at all costs .

This property is a disgrace. We arrived and quickly realized that it wasn’t the same as the pictures in airbnb…no kitchen or living room. 6 dining chairs for a 5 bedroom “lodge” and bar fridge for 8 people! The hydronic heating didnt work and there was no water to the showers. The Australian flag was flying upside down amongst Asian flags, we should have left then.

5 star prices for 2 star accommodation left us very disappointed. The rooms are very tired, basic and run down. Our shower wouldn’t spray and we had to dismantle the head and clean it to have a shower. Tiles were falling off the shower wall and the 1980s timber décor and fittings are stained and in dire need of maintenance. No internet in rooms, no TV (not that that’s what you go for) in fact no mod cons or luxuries at all. The door to our balcony was jammed shut, the list goes on, you get the picture. Their web site paints a very different picture.

On the up side, the rooms are spacious and clean, the staff are friendly, and the restaurant food is very good, (though frightfully expensive, as is the wine.) The wine tour is informative, interesting and generously long. The location for touring the local wineries is ideal.
The place needs a massive injection of funds for maintenance, or they need to drop their prices (and description) to more accurately reflect the standard of accommodation.

Stayed here about a year and half ago and loved the place. Very sad to see such a decline in the quality and service. The spa was cold. Service in the restaurant, which is priced for fine dining, was terrible. Menu had a very limited meal choice. Quality of food not up to standard and could not believe seeing the orange juice jug being refilled with Safeway No Name juice, not sure that fits the fine dining criteria????? Had already guessed it was a cheap juice!
The new managers seemed very nice but seem to have a lot of work ahead of them. Expressed our views to the owner but she seemed uninterested.

We have stayed here six times previous 4 years but after this stay we definitely won't be back again. Service and standard of food and service has declined hugely in past 18 months. Hour and half wait for breakfast service. Home brand orange juice also served with breakfast service. Food overpriced. Outdoor spa cold. Rooms very tired. Showers very difficult time regulate.

2 nights in a vineyard with family (had been there before in 2009), looking forward to it for 3 months. The view was amazing. Arrive, took 10 minutes to find the booking for us, the room (The Grange) clean but old furnishings. We had confirmed thecdinner booking 3 times, as late as 3 pm, arrived for dinner no booking waited 10 minutes to sit down ( standing in the middle of the resturant which was 1/2 full & we got there at 6.30pm), menu not the same as on the website, had to ask 4 times for menus, wine arrived after entrees, staff surly. Left resturant after the meals were small and scallops not cooked. When we asked if we needed to sign for dinner the waiter showed us his arm and said sign here if you want! Bed creaked all night, had to use my coat to put under the pillows as they were old & flat. Toilet would not flush properly. Could not wash my hair as shower pressure was so low on the Sunday! Asked for the room to be serviced and nothing was replenished or emptied. Breakfast was mediocore and cold. Went for a wine tasting and that was not as good as it had been before. Told when we booked that the resturant was not opened on the Sunday night even though it was a long weekend, told at the wine tasting that yes it was open (after we had booked at the pub for dinner on their advice). On the Monday tried to wash my hair and have a shower and it took 25 minutes with drips of hot water only. When we tried to check out at 9.15 am we were told the bills were not ready and to come back in 5 minutes. When we went back to check out eventually the bills were not ready! The room charge was not what we were told. They had upgraded us (really) after someone else had wanted the rooms we were originally booked in. They did not have my $200 deposit only $100 after numerous emails and phone calls. They staff kept saying it was not their fault as they had only been there 3 weeks and it was the staff during the week that had mucked the bookings up. Would not take responsibility at all. I had to walk out as I was so angry and leave my husband to sort it out. What had been planned as a lovely weekend turned out to be a "Faulty Towers" experience. I was embarassed that I had invited my sister and brother-in-law along, (he had also stayed there previously and it was very good). Would not reccomend this vineyard to anyone!!!

I had been excited about staying at Warrenmang as I had the pleasure of meeting the owners at a wine tasting event at Federation Square in Melbourne.
On arrival I was greeted by the award plates from Trip Advisor in the foyer. I was thinking this would be a good experience. Perhaps it was my expectstions that lead to my disappoinment, but never will I return here.
I was taken to an upstairs room at the back of the property which I imagine had not been used for a while. Cobwebs, spiders, dust and holes in the tired sheets were evident. I lay down for a nap after my long drive and woke up itching. I didn't sleep a wnik that night.
The decor is from the 70s and very tired. Floral sheets and dusty pinks and pastels with deep green floral curtains. I don't have a problem with it, but th charge what they do and not to keep it clean is not satisfactory.
Also, while I understand the water restrictions and that bore water, while drinkable, tastes different. More bottled water should have been supplied. It was a queen room with only one 500ml bottle. After a day of wine tasting in the Avoca region, this was not enough.
Dinner was burnt, breakfast was charged at an extra price when I was told it was included.
I left early and did not stay for the tour of harvest. Also, the lady at reception seemed over worked and highly strung. A combination that did not allow her to handle enquiries or complaints calmly. Won't go back and niether should you.

We regularly have guests staying in the Rose Cottage as it is the only stand alone cottage in the Resort and offers a romantic option for getaway weekends.
