The Omni Atlanta Hotel at Centennial Park is lauded for its excellent central location, perfect for exploring the city's attractions. While many guests praise the hotel's amenities and the clean, comfortable rooms, some feel that the experience is diminished by the high costs and outdated decor. Service quality varies, with reports of both professionalism and slow responses. Despite offering a range of dining options and meeting spaces, the hotel is criticized for additional fees and the need for room renovations.

Great location esp for events at State Farm Arena, however, last time we stayed here we were allowed to exit arena right into CNN center and walk thru to hotel, but this time we had to exit arena to the outside and walk past the South Tower of Omni hotel, where our room was and go to North Tower to then walk back across the tunnel to South Tower. And DO NOT use Valet parking if you are attending a big event, traffic lined up upon arrival took 15 minutes to get into valet parking area and when we checked out of hotel waited for 35 minutes for car and when we saw them drive it out of parking deck across the street we walked up to car and got it from driver so that we would not have to wait another 15 minutes for him to sit in traffic to get it to valet parking area of hotel. Room was in South Tower and recently renovated, very small bathroom. Great view of Centinial Olympic Park and downtown. Room did not look like it had been vacuumed and housekeeping came by to see if everything was ok(i had called to say there was only 1 coffee cup in room and we wanted coffee) and when i showed the housekeeper the floor she got a vacuum and ran it over floor. Overall good hotel if not over priced for room but you pay for location.

Hubby and I stayed here for just one night while we went to see the Celtics play the Hawks at the State Farm Arena. The ease of getting to the hotel from the interstate is a breeze! Prepare to pay for valet parking. We got a corner room on the 19th floor, and it was so worth it! Beautiful views of Atlanta skyline. For $20 each, you can add breakfast buffet (which we have done before but did not do this time). The hotel connects to the arena with a covered walkway. Prior to our arrival, I received a courtesy call letting me know our room was ready for occupancy hours before check in time. Omni has added a text concierge service, which responded quickly to questions I had about check out.
Two small complaints: construction equipment below woke us repeatedly at 6:30 a.m.; the room's crown molding was cracked and wall paper peeling in one corner. We look forward to future stays here.

I usually don't write reviews, but this time I am compelled to do so. The Omni hotel is the perfect hotel for attending conferences at the Atlanta Conference Center. It is connected so you don't need to walk outside, there is a very nice convenience store and restaurants, so you are all set after a long day of work. Staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.

But my review today is to say a big thank you to Anthony, who will be my new standard of outstanding customer service. Upon entering my room in the North Tower, I realized the bed was way too soft for me. I have severe lower back issues and spending a night in a very soft bed would surely take me to the hospital. Although Anthony was very busy with the multiple guests checking in for a large conference, he found and took me to several other rooms to check the beds. I was very apologetic because I knew he was very busy. But he was so cheerful and positive, saying that we would find a solution, that my comfort was his priority. After several rooms he tried again in the South Tower and, as it turns out, the beds were much firmer and perfect for me. I was beyond relieved and grateful to him. Anyone else would have said: this is what we have... "sorry for the inconvenience." But he went beyond and took care of my concern. Thanks to him I could survive four days of hard work. Anthony, thank you SO MUCH! You are a textbook example of customer service. I went from "I can never stay in this hotel again" to "this will be my hotel moving forward whenever I am in Atlanta."

I stayed here on a work trip paying $216 per night and had SO MANY ISSUES...
First, I had a corner room and the tv faced a different wall than the bed so when you were sitting in bed you weren't able to watch tv. There was no seating area in front of the tv so it was just a weird set up. Had that been the only issue I could've handled it.
The third day there was no coffee or cups replenished. I walked to the front desk which is a good 5 min walk when you are in the south tower like I was and they didn't have any either. Then the front desk clerk was nice enough to give me a coupon for a free coffee in the coffee shop but when I went up there it was closed. Off to a long day of work with no coffee.
The 4th day they replaced the conditioner with body lotion so I had zero conditioner for my hair.

Both the tub and sink drains were ridiculously slow during my whole stay
The 5th night I was there I had an amazon package delivered. I came back to the hotel around 8:45 pm from working all day and waiting at the front desk forever for someone to find the package before walking way over to my room in the south tower. They couldn't find it and assured me they would call me when they did. They never called so about an hour later (which was almost 10pm by now) I called down again since I needed the package for work the next day. they said yes they had found it but that they didn't have time to bring it to me. When I asked if they could bring it to me and they said "if you're ok waiting and hour or hour and a half".
They have a little sign saying that they will not replace towels unless they are on the floor so I made sure to hang mine up every day so I wouldn't need to waste new ones each day. Every single day they replaced them anyway.
Of course after all the annoyances then my bill had an extra $5 hotel fee on it every day as well as internet fee (even though I tried SEVERAL times to sign up for the omni select thing to get free wifi) and a $2 business center charge when I never set foot in the business center.

This hotel stay was depressing to say the least. It's massive and I would imagine it's difficult to keep up the hundreds (thousands?) of rooms they have but it's in MAJOR need of refurbishment. It gets high marks for proximity to area attractions like Centennial park, the aquarium and world Coca Cola. The hotel is within the CNN compound which offers a variety of places to eat like Dunkin Donuts, Chil Fil A etc.

The hotel itself looks nice from afar but the rooms were terrible. The room was outdated with a pitiful replacement of bathroom wallpaper to make it look contemporary. We saw leaks in various areas of the hotel (totally gross) but the most disappointing part was the pool. Every single person that came out to the pool are was shocked and made a comment like "is this it" or "are we in the right place".

The ONLY reason I would ever stay here again is because it's literally attached to the arena and so walking to a concert there is unbeatable. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking to visit Atanta...there are probably better options for your money than staying somewhere that's old, outdated and uses pictures to create a story of something they don't really offer.

Booked and paid over $600 for 2 rooms, weeks in advance. The rooms were nice enough, "when we finally got in them". Got in one room by 4pm (published check in time) but did not get in other room until after 6pm, a major inconvenience, since we were attending The Eagles concert that evening. Not enough food options in the Omni towers themselves. After concert we were starving so we (4 of us) bought chicken sandwiches and cheese burgers (over $40) at a table set up just inside the hotel, which was a huge mistake. They were absolutely un-eatable and we threw them away. Of course, room service was not available at that hour and we went to bed hungry. The next morning room service (for breakfast) was was over a 2 hour wait so we didn't order anything. Overall, a horrible experience and all we received for these inconveniences, was free parking for both rooms, however we only came in one car so we only got credit for one room. The hotel was totally unprepared for the crowd that was there for the concert.

Awful place and awful conditions, with overpriced rooms for the current condition of the hotel. On top of it, I booked a package room for two beds, then was told at check in it included just one daily breakfast and one aquarium pass. I would never recommend this hotel to anybody. Breakfast was. noisy corner of a lobby with construction so loud could barely have a conversation. The meal variety was extremely limited...I met a friend Saturday morning to eat breakfast instead at the Westin, and their meal service made Omni's offerings look even worse. Cramped lobby and check-in area in the north tower. Broken unusable water fountains in that same lobby. No sundries shop, one limited little coffee shop without many offerings. Confusing layout with the two towers. Useless concierge service hidden away in the corner of a 4th floor hallway. I could go on and on. What a terrible experience.

We visited for a huge volleyball tournament. This tournament happens every year so you would think they’d be prepared.
Check-in line took about 30 minutes, elevator another 30 min (easily). Two elevators aren’t working. Get into the room and have one towel, one washcloth, one hand towel. Charge for WiFi. Called for more towels and they showed up 2 hrs later (after the 2nd call) with one more towel and one washcloth. Ice machine broken. In addition, they didn’t bother to tell us that they charge a $100.00/night deposit (refundable after stay). Called again for towels and nobody ever showed up. When called a second time we were told it would take a few hours and we called at 10pm.
We have had a much better experience at many low cost hotels such as Hampton inn and holiday inn express. The ONLY positive is that it’s connected to the world Congress center. Not worth it at all.

Also, the “restaurant “ is a joke. Wait 45 min to get in, food took an hour and a half to get and then the order was wrong. Many friends had the same exact story the next afternoon.

I am now trying to get a question answered from the front desk and nobody answers...been ringing for 20 minutes.

Hotel has a great location, VERY attentive and well-trained staff, and good food, but it is VERY much showing its age. I am in a room in the hotel right now and cannot keep my Roku connected due to wifi issues, had to call the internet support and stay on two calls for almost an hour to get internet access for my laptops to get any work done. I had to give up either my personal info and "sign up" for internet access or PAY for it (I opted to pay and it is still barely usable for email)- who DOES that anymore? Hotel site has much construction going on, and could use some updating. As I only travel for work, and getting work done here is difficult, I will not be staying here again.

I stayed at this hotel for a work conference. The benefits include access to the Convention Center without having to go outside as well as the CNN Center. My room had a balcony that looked out to the interior of the hotel which made it very dark and dreary inside of the hotel room. The tv was nice because it connects to Netflix with Googlechrome. There’s a refrigerator and a coffee machine. Bath tub was very basic. The a/c was too cold especially at night even though I changed temp to 76F. I recommend McCormick’s and Morsels (coffee shop). There’s also a Starbucks in CNN food court. The last morning that I was there- I discovered Prime Meridian for the breakfast buffet. This restaurant looks more like a smaller meeting room with tables and chairs. The hotel location is convenient and within walking distance to the aquarium, Mercedes Benz stadium, the Olympic park, Ferris wheel etc. That’s probably why their room rates are expensive.

Answer from Jackie Duncan

Hello Aunt K!!! If we have availability, yes. Our parking rates at Omni Atlanta are $55 for compact-sized vehicles and $60 for full-sized vehicles. You can enter at either Towers, North or South to park your vehicle. I hope this helps. Omni Executive Office

Hello, unfortunately we do not have microwaves in our guest rooms at Omni Atlanta. However, we do have microwaves on every other floor in our ICE MACHINE rooms in the North Tower. In the South Tower, the microwaves are in the Atrium. If you are in an Omni Suite or any of our suites, they are equipped with microwaves. I hope this helps to answer your question. Not that I saw. This is an older "convention or game day" Hotel. The first issue you'll have to deal with is the "valet parkers" They charge premium money just for having your car at the hotel.

It’s a 5 min walk. When we were there we walked the area during the day with no issues. I never felt unsafe. But I wasn’t alone and elderly so I guess it really comes down to how comfortable you are.
