The location, grounds, and views are really stunning. It seems there may be quite a bit of variation across the various accommodations at Point No Point. We stayed in one of the "House by the Sea" suites, which we found to be expensive for what it was. Again, the view is lovely and our room was spotlessly clean. However, everything was very dated and some updates are needed. As others have noted, the kitchen is quite basic. Other than the unpleasant overhead lighting, we found it to be adequate. The table and chairs were odd - kind of "industrial" and slightly higher than is usual. We found ourselves awkwardly perching over our meals. The sofa and easy chair were also kind of slippery and uncomfortable. I might expect this kind of furniture in a quirky cabin or a private vacation rental, but something more thoughtful and comfortable seems appropriate for a resort like this. As others have noted, there is no internet access in the accommodations themselves and the front desk seems to take pride in being largely offline, with all communication taking place by phone or post. Some guests may find this charming, others inconvenient. As others have noted, there are also quite a few rules and admonitions, communicated in various ways throughout the booking process and one's visit.

We love coming here. It is very quiet and relaxing with no interruptions (no cell service or internet in the cabins). With hot tubs on the decks overlooking the ocean, Point-No-Point provides the perfect escape. Be sure to come prepared with all of your meal items (including condiments and oil). Firewood is delivered to your cabin every day, so you can stay cozy and warm. It is a bit on the pricey side, but it is well worth it.

We have been going to Point No Point for many years but have never written a review. The comments that another reviewer made about the maintenance partly prompted me to write this. Everything is maintained to the highest standards. It is one of the things that always really strikes me is how well everything is taken care of. If you are looking for a modern hotel with tv and wifi then this is not for you. But if you are looking for a incredible experience in an amazing setting then you should go. Every cabin has fantastic views and a very private hot tub. The beds are super comfortable and all the linens etc along with the furniture are nice quality. The property is many 100 feet of shoreline that only guests have access to and it is breathtakingly beautiful. On our most recent visit the restaurant was closed because of Covid 19 which was sad but you can easily take your own food and you will have a fully equipped kitchen. When open the restaurant is outstanding. It is a place that my wife and I both love and we try to go at least twice a year. It is truly exceptional. The family who owns it has been there for over 35 years and their care and little touches show in every aspect of the operation.

Let me start by saying the area is breathtaking and our cabin was very clean. The young(ish) bearded gentlemen that handled our check-out was arrogant and rude. He began by rudely insinuating I was angry concerning our bill at dinner the night before. It had been added incorrectly so I inquired about it. He abruptly stated that the server added it longhand but the machine doesn't make mistakes. I certainly didn't expect or deserve his unfriendly attitude or remarks. At check-out he added an additional charge for friends who he stated stayed the night. I stated they visited us at the resort and used the hot tub, he stated, "Regardless, if your friends stayed the night or not, using the hot tub means you are responsible for the additional charges".
This is the first time I have been made to feel like I was being interrogated. He eventually, reluctantly agreed to remove the additional $40 charge. The resort has a LATER than normal arrival time of 4:30pm, a two week minimum cancellation policy, and if you do cancel prior to the deadline they charge you $25 sighting administration costs. A total of $316 for one night, a $150 dinner in the restaurant and that STILL wasn't enough for this individual to ensure we left feeling like it was money well spent and ensured we enjoyed our stay by simply being polite and appreciative. I guess that's what happens when the owner(s) have the facilities fully booked and aren't worried about treating ALL their clients with the respect we deserve.

We booked a one bedroom cottage at the resort in early December for a mini getaway. The price was steep but we figured it would be worth it as it was situated right on a cliff overlooking the ocean. And, the location was fabulous but the actual accomodation was very average. I expected more in that price range. One positive was the restaurant. the food was simply amazing! So, go visit the restaurant!

This is NOT a 5 star resort.
When you check in, you are told that your key will be hanging on a hook outside in an envelope at exactly 4:30. In other words, don’t bother us.
The moment you walk into the cabin you are greeted by the odour of wood smoke.
While the cabin is clean, they do not clean the patio door tracks and the doors are hard to open and close because they’re filled with muck. The kitchen is seriously lacking in hooks or rails for towels (an easy fix), as is the bathroom.
The chairs in the living are long past their sell-by date. Please, get some new comfortable chairs for people to sit on. The large, tacky plastic mat on the balcony also needs to be discarded. Nothing would be better than what is currently there.
The restaurant is very expensive for the portion size, and we discovered when we got home we had been overcharged for our entrees. You can’t email the resort as they refuse to have email, so I couldn’t send them a copy of my bill. The resistance to some form of technology also carries over into their convoluted booking system.
Charging the full amount for your stay one month ahead of time and then stipulating it is non-refundable is very cheeky.
I had a couple of problems with things in my cabin and the office seemed very reluctant to do something about it. I have to say that I felt more of a nuisance than a welcomed guest.
The location is spectacular, but just don’t expect any form of luxury.

I’ve lived in Victoria my whole life and have always wanted to stay here. We booked it for our honeymoon and it exceeded our expectations. There was a 3 night minimum and I’m so glad there was. The deck was the perfect place to read and listen to the waves. You could even hear the waves crashing from inside (with the window open) and it was such a magical sound. I didn’t expect the private beaches to be so pretty, and we literally had them to ourselves the entire time. We thought we would leave the resort to hike and check out beaches but we didn’t leave once. Well, only for 10 mins to get Stoked pizza, which I highly recommend! The kitchen was stocked with everything we could have possibly needed, as we cooked most of our meals. We stayed in a duplex but didn’t hear our neighbours once. Having blankets was a nice touch and the cleanliness of our room was impressive. Even the wood stove was spotless! We brought our dog and they had dog dishes, a blanket and towel for her. She absolutely loved running on the beaches and exploring. The bed was extremely comfortable as well. I’ve been to many resorts up and down the island and this is now my favourite. We already cannot wait to book another stay- we will be back!

For a variety of reasons – international work and travel mostly, it’s been more than 10 years since we have been to Point-no-Point. However, when we spent 2 wonderful days in a cottage there last week, it felt as if we had been there just yesterday. We were very lucky with the weather hitting the warmest and sunniest days of the year so far. Our cottage, Eagle, had a wonderful view of the bay, and over the ocean to the American coast. It was equipped with everything we could possibly need. The bed was very comfortable, and the dressing gowns and outdoor blankets were very much appreciated. What the cottage didn’t have was a phone, radio, tv, or wifi which made our stay a real “off-grid” experience (there is wifi access in/outside the office but we were not in any way tempted to use it). Given the pandemic, had we wanted to cook for ourselves, we could have checked in and out without any need for human contact. As it was, we brought supplies for breakfast and lunch, but ordered take out for our dinners. This involved going to the office to both order and pick up the food. That, however, was very safe with staff being masked and behind large Perspex screens, and dinner packed up and ready to go. Both dinners were great. After dinner, when the sun had gone down, we relaxed in the hot tub on the deck looking up at the moon and the stars. Normally, after that, we would have gone inside to sit by the wood fire, but the weather was actually too warm for that. There are extensive trails around the property, taking you through the trees and down to beaches on both sides of the point. We walked about 10k without ever leaving the property. It was a perfect getaway, and we certainly won’t wait 10 years to go back again.

Appalling conduct and breach of contract by Sharon, the owner. My partner and I booked a cabin and paid the required $500 deposit TEN MONTHS in advance as we consider it our special staycation only for our reservation to be given away when they could not reach my partner due to his phone number changing in the time since he booked. Sharon herself shared they have his mailing address on file but they never even tried sending a letter; they tried calling a few times and immediately took it upon themselves to give away our cabin one month before our plans. We discovered this yesterday and they will not rectify the issue.

We both had to coordinate our complex work schedules well in advance and save the money for this staycation and none of this has been taken into consideration. They tried calling a few times and then gave away our booking not even two weeks ago, not honoring our well in advance booking and DEPOSIT. We are devastated by the poor practice of a local business and their treatment of returning customers.

Additionally, they gave away our reservation on July 4th and have not returned our deposit. It is now the 18th. Avoid at all costs.

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Point-No-Point Resort. Months later we are still reminiscing about how lovely and cozy the cabin we stayed in was. We stayed for 1 night in Cabin D with our small dog. It was great that we were able to bring our dog (only certain cabins allow dogs and you do need to pay an extra cleaning fee). I was surprised to see they had provided a dog blanket, bowls and a dog towel for her to use during our stay which I thought was a nice touch. Cabin D has a small kitchen (with all the kitchen utensils, pots, coffee maker etc.), a fireplace inside (with wood provided), and a hot tub and chairs on the balcony. My husband and got take out pizza from a restaurant nearby and sat inside looking at the beautiful view with a real fire going in the fireplace. We also walked the trails at the resort and went for a dunk in the freezing ocean. It was a great stay, we were sad to leave and would love to go again.

Yes bathrobes are provided. They say they are strict with Covid cleaning procedures but i’m pretty sure our bed was not changed ... we watched them go in and clean a cabin and it was done pretty fast, so i’m unsure how thorough it is sanitation wise ...
