Westgate Park City Resort & Spa offers a variety of amenities that are a hit with guests, including ski services, pools, and numerous activities, contributing to its allure for those seeking a mountain getaway. However, visitors' opinions on service and accommodation quality differ; while some celebrate the staff's helpfulness, issues with responsiveness and maintenance are not uncommon. Room conditions also seem to be a gamble, with some guests encountering beautifully appointed spaces and others facing subpar cleanliness and upkeep. Consequently, a number of travelers question the resort's value for the cost.

Went w guides Audrey & Tucker. We went to Wasatch Mt view & completed a 2+ mile hike over 2 hrs. We had excellent guides. On the hikes Tucker pointed out Elk tracks -interesting. I’m looking forward to doing one this week and when my friend arrives we’re gonna do two more can’t wait.!! And thanks to our guides Audrian Tucker. It would also be a great place to come in the summer and see all the beautiful wildflowers and try to catch site of some wildlife! More adventures like this are certainly welcomed I’m not aware of what all there is to do here in this area but any other Adventures that could be added to the activities would be fantastic. Best Denise

After a long flight from the east coast, we were so excited to pull up to the beautiful Westgate. We were greeted warmly by Guadencio and Michele, who took the time to ensure we were happy with our room and felt comfortable navigating the property. En route to the room, Michele showed us the many incredible amenities offered at the resort. Our kids' eyes grew wide as we passed the arcade, indoor/outdoor pool, ping pong tables, and more. Ski rentals were conveniently on site, as were some great restaurants (we had a nice experience at DDB). The marketplace was well stocked with convenience items, and the valet parking and complimentary shuttle services made getting around a breeze. Best of all was our room, a one bedroom suite that perfectly accommodated our family of four. We comfortably ate many meals inside the suite and were even able to do laundry daily with the in-room washer and drier. The ski-in, ski-out experience was seamless with the pampering ski valet service and complimentary boot drying at night. This was one of our all time favorite vacations. Thank you, Westgate. We can't wait to return!

Location is perfect for a ski holidays just easy walking distance from ski lifts.
We were given without even asking us a room fitted specially for handicapped. This means we had to spend a week on a shower (no bath) with water from half height that pointed to my waist and had to be used as a hand shower. Not what I want on ski holiday with small children and not even for myself.
Our room was next to the burgers restaurant that meant hamburgers smell non stop and people waiting for a table were just out next our door.
Cleaning of the room has been awful.
Room was generally never made by the time we returned from skiing and only once in the 8 nights stay they came to open the beds / leave water and chocolate.
Transport desk is a nice concept but terrible implementation.
Moving inside the hotel is difficult and inconvenient.
The temperature of the pool is way below our expectation and made it quite unusable.
I tried few times to speak to the manager but wasn’t possible and he never returned my calls.

Positive: Location, room size, room equipment, friendly and helpful staff, ski services, Aloha rental in building, parking, kids club friendliness, family friendly,

Negative: cleaning, shower, hotel appeal not according to price level, transport desk, moving inside the hotel is inconvenient.

I am of the idea that if I will be given a handicapped room that is differently equipped than standard I need to be asked and agreed.

My family decided to celebrate a birthday at the Westgate Park City Resort and Spa for a 3-night stay. What we had hoped would be an amazing experience was sullied by several concerning incidents on the resort premise. To accommodate our party of 5 adults and three children, we booked the Luxury Two Bedroom Suite and a Signature One Bedroom Suite. On 09Jul, my son was running around the room when I noticed his socks were saturated. Upon inspection, I found a wet area of the carpet. I assumed that the kids had made a mess the night before, so I cleaned up the mess with the available towels to the best of my abilities. On 10Jul, the carpet was still saturated and front desk was notified at approximately 10:30am for maintenance to take a look as it seemed to be originating from the room’s a/c unit. The maintenance supervisor showed up 1 1/2 hours after the issue was reported and stated that the condensation drain line was clogged, causing the drip pan to overflow and leak into the adjacent 3x4 carpeted area. It was also noted that for that particular a/c unit, the last filter replaced was 31March2020 and a Neutronic(odor eliminator) was placed within the unit. We were offered an upgrade to our room and new accommodations were made available at 4:10 pm. Unfortunately this wasn’t our only incident involving poor safety standards and inadequate management of health and safety regulations. My wife had purchased three breakfast burritos from the on-site marketplace on July 10 in the evening to have a quick breakfast prior to our July 11 check out. My brother had consumed majority of the burrito when he discovered it to be covered in mold. I took all three items back down to the marketplace and to show them. I inquired about their inspection practices concerning the food products for sale in the open air display cooler and received a blank stare. I showed the staff member that even though the food items had a “sell-by” date label, the staff had failed to properly annotate it, leaving staff and consumers without a clue as to the expiration of its items.

Paid extra for a jetted tub. Jets and shower curtain were mildewed. Brown splatter on the wall by the toilet, a used contact lens left on the floor and a hole in the tile of the shower. Housekeeping took the dirty curtain but failed to bring one back. Ended up having to shower in a different room. Someone from housekeeping took the liberty of moving my pajamas (On the bed I made myself) and take my personal effects and lay them out on a towel - after the room had already been "Cleaned" for the day. Lobby furniture had greasy head stains on the seatbacks and greasy arms on chairs. Maze of a hotel required 3 floor changes at different elevators and a journey through the pool to find a restaurant. Stay Elsewhere!

We could not travel last year but made up for it this year with 2 weeks at the resort. I can understand all the other reviewers mentioning the terrible confusing layout. It has not changed in years. We stayed in the Bear Lodge side this year and in order to get to the boot locker we had to take the elevator to the 5th floor, walk thru the pool area!!!! something that is totally unacceptable and also needs the key card to get in, then down one floor to the boots and then up again to the 6th floor to get out to the ski area. We are used to it now, but still every year is a challenge not to get lost.
Upon check in we were told that there was no house keeping and I could live with it. When calling the front desk for trash pick up, that happened promptly, also when needing extra towels and sheets. There is a broom and dustbin in the unit and we could sweep the living room area/kitchen as needed.
The staff is mostly very friendly; since we did not ask for help, I cannot comment on their efficiency. Front desk is doing a good job, at least in our opinion.
True, other then the few restaurants at the Canyons, there is nothing else. One has to either take the hotel shuttle (available upon request) or, like in our case, we either took the resort shuttle to the Canyon Hub station, or the Cabriolet lift, or we walked (about 10 minute walk mostly downhill). The Park City buses come often enough and that works for us going to the grocery store and to restaurants.
One thing I commented about every year is that upper management is non visible and it is hard to even get an appointment with them.
Our suite 2B/2B was okay but updating would be nice. Especially in the kitchen where the laminate on the cabinets is peeling off and the dishwasher rusty. The new washer/dryer stackable units were a plus.
The transportation/valet desk is not very efficient. We store our ski gear and it is delivered by a service. They could not find it when we asked. I called the storage service and they told me it was delivered the evening before our arrival and gave me the storage number. Then the staff could find it immediately. Not very efficient in my opinion.

Justin R wrote a review Feb 2022
My family and I stayed at the Westgate Park City Resort & Spa from December 2nd -7th, and had a less than satisfactory stay.

To begin, when we arrived, we had requested a pack and play in the room for our 19 months old. When it was not there upon arrival, I called to the front desk. Housekeeping brought up the pack and play but with no sheets. I had to call again... as we waited over an hour for sheets to be brought up.

You mentioned that daily housekeeping service was not available prior to our arrival, so I was not expecting to have the room turned over each day. I was however extremely surprised that no one came by once to check on trash. With a 19 month old, we had diapers stacked high, and we constantly ran out of trash bags. In addition during our stay we called multiple times for extra towels, more coffee, more shampoo. To make matters worse, the front desk had us come pick up those items in the lobby. Making that trek from Elk lodge to the lobby at all hours of the day and night is a mission, especially with being pregnant and having a 19 month old! Each time I picked up the items by a pleasant front desk staff member, they were pleasant but they seemed to search nervously for the (lack of) items they would be able to provide. For example, they had 1 coffee filter they could offer at a time, and then we would have to come down the next day for another.

Due to no snow, we spent lots of time (and $$$) in the arcade. It was a great addition to our stay and we are thankful it was there, but the arcade too had its issues. We had to call to ask for assistance as the prize machine would not pull prizes.

I was not impressed at all with the staff. As a resort, I expected much more. I constantly heard, "I am new", "I am not sure how to find that location". No hellos in the hallway. No welcome feel.

We once asked where Redtails was located, hoping to find a new restaurant to try, and we were told it was located in the Waldorf Astoria???

We were told the Westgate shuttle service opened at 7am. When we requested shuttle service we were told there were no shuttle drivers. When I asked concierge, they told me that the shuttle drivers had to pick up housekeeping and they wouldn't be back until 1 hour. Unacceptable.

On our last day we wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner at Edge just to find the restaurant closed.

Lastly, I tried to express my concerns throughout the stay but no one could direct me who to speak to. I wanted to try to make things right while on property, instead of being back home.

Hello, Ocjenz. Thank you very much for taking a moment to leave us feedback regarding your recent visit with us. We're sorry to hear you had a unfortunate scenario occur during your stay. Were you able to speak to anyone at our front desk or a supervisor/manager on duty to see if they could address the issue entirely. It is our mission to provide our guests with the best experience at Westgate, and we understand this wasn't the case for you this time. We'll take the right approach to ensure corrections so future guests and yourself won't have this same outcome. We hope you may give us another opportunity in the future to enhance your experience with us. Kind regards.

Your staff service was remarkably kind. You tried to get us the perfect room because it's our first time in Utah and first time seeing snow. Before we even arrived Milca poured her knowledge into us from suggested weather wear to recommend food delivery service to local places! When we checked into our room, the sliding door lock was jammed and broken and maintenance came Quickly and wouldn't quit until it was fixed. No pillows or blankets and needing more towels and toiletries?? You guys came Quickly!! Mr. Art was our shuttle driver and he was so kind each time, and even brought up our groceries. But what impressed us the most? One of our daughters had an accident in the bathroom and my husband wanted to be discreet. Not only did maintenance come up with the needed gadget, he also fixed it himself! Wow! I also called down for a mop and Marie never made us feel embarrassed. They sent up everything to help us with the issue! As it snowed outside, the fireplace was beyond nice and cozy. The food at Drafts Burger Bar was so good, but our favorite was their custom milkshakes. They were incredibly delicious! We were able to cook our thanksgiving dinner in the kitchen as well! The whirlpool tub in our master bedroom was a nice relaxation at the end of the day. We absolutely enjoyed our stay! Thank you so much for making us feel welcomed.

We booked through priceline in the basis this is a 4.5 star resort.. my husband and I came to park city to celebrate our 19th anniversary. Upon check-in I asked for a upgrade because it was a special event. They offered to upgrade for an additional $58 a night. I opted to stay in our "luxury king suite" figuring it would be nice since this is supposed to be a high end resort. After parking in the garage and lugging our bags through the halls for 25 minutes looking for our room I was already frustrated. We passed many staff members and they proceeded to block the halls and elevators not offering any assistance. One guy in a cart literally blocked the hallway not allowing us to pass while 2 other staff members had a cot they were moving. Finally they told him to move so we could pass and he just laughed. We had our map in hand and when we asked how to find our room after walking back and forth they just pointed. In a direction.

Once in our room it did not get better. There is no fireplace as photos showed. No balcony or view either. The "bedroom" is so cramped you can barely move and there is really no where to put luggage. No bathtub in the bathroom. The couch is so uncomfortable to sit on so I asked for blankets to put on top. They do give you a number to text which is nice when needing things they respond right away.

Drafts (burger resteraunt) was not open. Only option is the steakhouse until Thursday. We ordered from a thai restaurant (Thai so Good) and they delivered.

The adults only relaxation pool was full of kids because the other pool is too cold.

The best thing so far has been the steam shower. We are planning on eating at the Edge Steakhouse on our anniversary. We hope it is as good as the reviews are are many great options in PC.

They do not provide tea only coffee in rooms. Seems a couple teabags would be nice for those non coffee drinkers. They do have a store that opens at 9am.

Christine, Thank you for your review. We regret to learn that you were not satisfied with your room accommodations and the overall cleanliness of your unit. Your comments tell us that we have areas that need to be immediately addressed as this is far from the experience that we aim to deliver to our guests. We would also like to apologize for the challenges you've described when on your way to your room. Pros: Location couldn't have been much better. Within walking distance of gondola/lifts. Ski rental located in the hotel. Great adult pool w/ waterfall & spa.
Good sports bar on site. All staff members were very nice and helpful. The shuttle to downtown Park City was very convenient! Great service and food at The Edge steakhouse. Safety protocols in the hotel and ski area were strictly enforced but we were able to eat/drink inside all restaurants and bars.

Cons: confusing hotel layout. We literally had to read maps to get around and I overheard other guests complaining in the elevators. The worst part though was that the basic room was one of the smallest I have ever stayed in and that includes Europe. My wife and I had to negotiate our way in the bed area if we were both trying to walk. It was basically the size of the queen and a dresser with a very narrow walk way in between. My son stayed on the horrible sofa bed that when pulled out, took up the entire "living room" area and we had to walk sideways to get to the bathroom. Apparently the only other style of room is a "suite" which was $177 per night (plus fees) more expensive. Lastly, NO USB outlets! It should be mandatory for all hotels now to have USB outlets. They obviously spent a lot of money upgrading the tiny bathrooms but no smart TVs and no USBs.

Overall, for skiers it is a very good/not great place to stay. Location and ease of rentals made the experience a lot better. If you are not skiing, I would look elsewhere. By the way, the mountain was fantastic! Great for skiing with many long, beautiful runs.
