This was my second time in the place. The price had increased but the rooms were not maintained properly. They smell moldy. We occupied 2 rooms. The room we occupied had noisy air conditioner, not-flushing well toilet bowl, and very old thin towels. Third person has a additional fee with or without extra bed but it was okey because he is counted in the breakfast.
Our consolation was the beach! We scrubbed our body with the creamy sand and it didn’t itch. They are perfect for spa!

Even though we received assistance from the hotel, we still wish to express our concern and hope for future improvement. We know that Covid-19 has taken its toll on tourism in Philippines, and many resorts have gone bankrupt, but it does not mean you provide poor service, and it does not mean that you charge full peak rate for rooms that are in poor quality. We were at least expecting a discount rate if the room is in bad shape but we were charged peak rate.

Our room was in really poor shape and was in dire need of repair, including the bed which felt like it was about to fall apart. After filing a complaint with staff (who were excellent and provided good service), we were offered a different room which was newly renovated but the toilet was broken (which I personally managed to rig to work). The AC unit was new yet very loud, compare to our AC unit at home which is very quiet.

The restaurant has a decent menu but is extremely expensive and for the amount of food it is overpriced. Also, my wife stated that the fries were old as in heated again, and the fish was also friend incorrectly and the presentation was extremely poor.

For breakfast there is only one choice, fish and rice. We overheard some other guests who also were unhappy that the breakfast had no variety. We in addition to this overheard a few American guests complaining that the coffee was cold. Breakfast was included so we did not have to pay for it, but if you want guests to return, then you also have to impress.

Beach access is amazing, blue lagoon is beautiful. The resort is quite big and is well maintained on the outside, and we can only wish that service and quality improves, but for now we will not be returning until we have been provided an update that improvements have been made. You want to enjoy the resort but when the service and quality is disappointing, you really just want to leave.

This is our second resort in Ilocos Norte, and both have received a poor rating.

The hotel itself is not so bad, just missing maintenance.
However, prices are too high for what you get. Service is poor, food is bad and expensive.
We stayed there 2 night, no service of the room between the 2 nights.
For kids breakfast, they are proposing coffee...
If you stay there, you can go to Hakuna Matata, the hotel just touching on the side, very good food and much cheaper.
As positive, view from cottage (annexe) is fantastic.

Do not come here!

We paid entrance fee of 100 pesos each to have access to the beach but we were advised we are not allowed to swim unless we rent a cottage of 1000. We told them we will swim for about 30minutes but the caretaker insist that we have to pay for the cottage. We told her we already pay the entrance fee and we will not stay longer. They dont even allow us to wash our feet and change clothes. Very unreasonable. Hindi naman kagandahan ang resort niyo to charge 100pesos for sight seeing. Noone owns the beach, not even the owner of the resort. Please teach your staff to be considerable and to observe courtesy. We have senior and kids and you dont even allow them to wash their feet. The entrance fee should cover it.

Very understaffed. I saw the owner telling off one of her staff who is actually really nice and polite. Staff doesn’t look happy at all - they appeared overworked. All 3 rooms that we’ve got smelt like molds. Shower hasn’t been cleaned properly. Old empty shampoo sachets still in the bathroom. Mirrors in the bathroom hasn’t been wiped. Toilet seat have dry urine drip on it. Tables were not wiped. One of the room’s bathrooms have black footprints on it so we asked the staff to clean it - that was the only thing we asked them to do because we felt sorry for them. Poorly, poorly managed. It looks amazing from the outside but very bad inside. Money is not worth it

They rely on the best part of the saud cove, which is true. There is no better spot on the beach then here. But its a mistake to rely on that, they should definitely improve their services; breakfast is horrible, rooms and beds are terrible, their rooms are three times the price of the places around. Stay away here and just choose your spot on the beach

location of the resort is prime and property itself is well kept however the service is comparable to a grade B motel. clearly they need to retrain their housekeeping crew on how to properly clean a room and place some sort of operating procedure because this resort surely needs it badly! amenities in this resort is a joke. one towel per person and a tiny bar of soap, really?!!. if your are going to use the brand "resort" next to your company name, you better deliver in all aspects. front desk need to better communicate to their guest of house rules prior to rather than the guest finding out first hand if there's a curfew at the resort. lastly, upon check out you don't accuse your guest stealing!!! I was accused of stealing a towel when they only provided 3 on a room that had 4 guests. It came to a shouting match because the customer’s voice were not being heard and dismissed at all cause. i guess the customer's satisfaction isn't their top priority in this facility but rather the well being of their employees and their property. I would never return to this property nor recommend to anyone.

Saud Beach Resort has the best location along Saud Beach. It is very private with a nice beachfront and view of the Bangui Windmills at a distance.

However, the service and amenities are way below expectation given the price we paid for the room. We got a beachfront room which was very spacious but the airconditioning unit was not working well. The bathroom was dirty and dingy. There were no toiletries, bottled water and coffee/tea amenities, only basic bath towels and a roll of toilet paper. What's funny is there were cups, saucers and teaspoons in the room and they expect the guest to bring their own coffee. The beds were creaky, made of bamboo with hard matresses. There was no phone/intercom in the room so we needed to go out to the reception area which was in a separate structure along the beach each time we needed something (extra towels, toilet paper, etc.). The staff will not clean the room or fix/change the airconditioner (which I complained about) unless there is a guest present. Since we were out on a whole day tour, the room was still untidy when we came back late afternoon. We did not want to spend time watching the houskeeping staff clean our room since we wanted to take advantage of the beach so we had to settle for an uncleaned room on our second night. The room came with free breakfast only for 2 although our room was good for 4. Food is average and the servings were pathetic.

I paid a downpayment through bank deposit and paid the balance through credit card upon checking out. When I asked for an official receipt (i had to ask, they did not provide it voluntarily), i was told that i could only be given a recipt for the balance. I have to call the Manila office if I want to get a receipt for the downpayment. This sounded incredulous to me but opted not to argue.

The staff were friendly though.

I could only recommend this place because of the location, great view and beachfront. If you don't mind substandard service and staying in a room that I just described, then you could consider staying here when you're in Pagudpud.

They charge entrance fee of 50 pesos per person, additional 500 if you would like to swim and get a cottage. They're cottage is small and smelled like urine. We ordered drinks it took them 30 mins just to get the order, another 30 mins to bring our drinks out. There's only 7 of us and all we ordered was soda. The server gave somebodys order. The cashier lady charged me 500 and I told her very clearly that we also ordered drinks and cashier said "that's ok" as I was walking out of the resort the server came yelling and Said i didn't pay. Apparently the cashier didn't know what she was saying. Communication between two employees are very important to run a business . I would hate to go back to that resort. Next time I would like to try Hanna's I heard good report about that place.

THE GOOD
Staff services excellent
Resort facing beach
Location excellent
Offers Hot water for shower

THE BAD
No wifi offered
Bathroom not well kept
Restaurant had wilted flowers as center piece . They could have thrown the flowers.
Nice menu but most of it are unavailable
Bar had no options, had 3 types of three only.

IT SEEMS LIKE THE FACILITY HAS BEEN IGNORED. It offers the best location for the beach but can offer more for the price they charge.
