This was our first time to Pine Grove. We had always stayed in the Port Loring area and had the opportunity to come stay this year. We had Cabin 1. I was amazed with the plenty of room and how luxurious it all felt. Little touches like maple syrup as a welcome gift meant everything. just nice thoughtfulness. the bedrooms were spacious and the bathroom perfect. We even had a sun porch that you could have your morning breakfast and watch the lake.
At first i was disappointed that we had no fire pit. but you have a fireplace in the cabin and it was nice to take the chill out. Did manage to have a fire on the beach one day and that made up for all.
The river is great to float down with the paddle board or kayak. Hilary was the most welcoming person. You know that the resort does well with great people running it. Cant wait to return !

Holiday was oct.2015. Our weather was not too bad and warm temps.
Cottage 8 has a wonderful view.
Beds are comfortable with a great wood burning stove.
Boats were comfortable and reliable.
Great hosts.
So far north u don't have a lot to choose for supplies...milk is 699 a bag.Bring everything u can squeeze in.
Port Loring hosts a liquor store.
Fishing was poor. Threw everything at them with not much happening.Other guests reported the same.
Dog patch was disappointing, but there are trails to walk.
If u enjoy the beauty and silence of this area you wont be disappointed.

Recently my wife and I booked at Pine Grove and had our dog with us as well. The week was fantastic, when we arrived to the "pet-freindly" resort we were welcomed by Carole and taken to our cottage. AMAZINGLY clean - top to bottom!! We have rented a few cottages in the area and this was exceptional. There was even a small bottle of Maple Syrup waiting for us to have with our breakfast the next day. The cottage was well equiped with everything you would need, micro-wave, big fridge, gas BBQ and all the kitchen utensiles, including wine glasses and coffee maker.

The beds were hotel quality and the screened in porch was a bonus to look at the water and relax.

We had our kayaks with us and we stored them us beside the sandy beach area with no issues. Paddling on the river was peaceful and easy - wild life everywhere and very courtious boaters that waved and made sure we were not going to get in their wake.

The Wednesday night hotdog roast was an exceelent and unexpected surprise - everything supplied by Bill, Carole and Hilary...such a great addition to the week.

We loved the resort - great for families - great for relaxing - great for boating and getting away from the busy city!!

Thanks Bill, Carole and Hilary - the week was great and we hope to see you again next summer.

After calling for prices and sending our deposit we received our deposit conformation and balance due on check out, when we when"t to office to pay our bill we were told by the young lady that her father had given us the wrong prices and we would owe 40$ extra, as it was not our mistake we did not fell we should pay any extra, but after very much debate we paid the extra and ran for home, after haveing a good time and to have that happen at the end left a very bad taste,,,,,,will not go back for it.

Hello Brad, Sorry to hear that your experience upon checkout left you feeling upset. We want all of our guests to enjoy their memories of Pine Grove. The booking confirmation is an estimate and does not include items like store purchases for ice, boat launch, docking etc. The charges upon checkout were correct and you received a 10% discount off our regular rates. That being said we want you to be happy with your experience here. Please contact us privately at info@pinegroveresort.com. and we can refund your card the $40 or offer you $40 off a future stay here. Again, I apologize that you felt treated unfairly.

The cottage was very clean and well maintained. This was a girls get away and it truly was a wonderful experience. The location was amazing and the staff made us feel very welcome. The black flies did present a challenge.

I just returned from a week at Pine Grove Resort. It is a classic northern camp on the shores of the Pickerel River. All of the cabins are well-appointed, clean and comfortable. The only urban amenities lacking are internet access and TV....a good thing in my books! Make sure you over-stock your needs as there are few plces to get basics short of a drive to North Bay.

Really treasure my annual trip to Pine Grove. This year I was able to bring my baby boy for his first cottage experience. The Chamber are marvelous hosts and there are so many ways to enjoy this resort- whether young or old. Would always recommend Pine Grove for a getaway to Northern Ontario to rest, relax, fish, swim and relish the tranquility of Mother Nature.

We stayed in their "Mini Cottage". From the feel of it , it is brand new. We loved the loft. The bed was most comfortable, one of the best sleeps we have had on our trip.
Carol and Bill showed us around the grounds. Great place. So many tall trees. The "Fall" colours were at their peak. It was so quiet only the birds and the wind.
This was a great place to relax and enjoy the grounds and the area. Bill talked about the fishing, we were sorry we did not get a chance to try it. Next time we will!

Went there on a fishing trip to check out the lakes (Late June 2019). It was very quiet we, pretty much had the run of the place. Hardly saw the staff which was fine by us, The cabin we booked was very nice, clean and tidy. It does show pride of ownership.

Grounds were well kept, the wet spring caused the mosquitoes to be out in full force, so the staff was kind enough to loan us a auto bug sprayer for the porch.

Didn't do great on the fishing aspect but we were happy.

One minor complaint was no screen door on the fish cleaning station which was a BITC** considering the swarms of mosquitoes. I was feeling faint from the loss of blood... We almost brought the fish back to the cabin to clean, and Mr. Pine Grove Resort you don't want that!!

All in all I would consider returning, it was a nice place.....

Quiet, peaceful get away. Beautiful resort cottages, well maintained. Lots of fishing, boating, water is clean and beautiful, nice beach for swimming. Camp fires at night, no sounds except nature saying hello stranger.

Hello, We are so sorry about that! We did not receive the initial messages. We had a major power outage here and the storm affected our phone lines as well as internet. Everything is now up and running smoothly. Sometimes there are challenges in the north, but we do our best to roll with it.
