Just finished a two day stay with Claudine and Randall Prior. The inn has 5 rooms with great views and the rooms are very nice. The bathrooms are very clean and all the furniture was really nicely appointed. Plenty of food for breakfast. Took the ferry to South East Bight and did an awesome 10 mile hike to Great Paradise. Went the other direction and took in the theatre in Grand Bank. Really fun. The Spanish Room Manor is a great inn to travel from on your visit to Newfoundland’s Burin peninsula 😊

What a treat. Spanish Room Manor was perfect. We spent 3 nights there and were treated like family. The rooms are immaculately clean and comfortable, breakfast was amazing and the owners are great people. They are very familiar with the area, know all the great places to see and are just all around good people. I would highly recommend to anyone. Take some time to explore the area, the hike to Wild Beach is beautiful.
We will be back!

Gorgeous rooms and view, Claudine and Randall make you feel at home. The food is amazing, and they totally accommodated any needs we had. We were celebrating our anniversary and they sang to us and played music. Told jokes and just shared so much information about their part of the island that it was the most amazing stay, ever at a B & B. Will definitely refer them to others and come back. 5 star family and business. Definitely a gem of Newfoundland, and a must go!

These people....Without getting into too much detail, are rude and a little, how shall we say, crazy! Will not refund a cent if you have to cancel (and I'm talking 8 months in advance) and are so unorganized with their files, it's embarrassing. They also gave us the run-around, pretending they would refund us, pretending they would call back, pretending to give a crap, but they didn't. DO NOT STAY AT THIS PLACE!

Thanks for a great stay Claudine treated my Mom and l like family. Very welcoming beautiful house. We loved the breakfast and all the history of the area. She also gives you great ideas what to see in the local area. We wished we had time to stay longer. The scenery overlooking the bay water was breathtaking. Hope to stay here again.

Tried to cancel our reservation over a month in advance, and they billed us the full amount (over $400) and would not refund us!!!!!!!!! Ridiculous!! I don't know of any other place that charges you the full amount on booking or who doesn't have a cancellation policy!!! Terrible service for a Canada select B&b.

I absolutely loved this place. The hosts Claudine and Randell were top notch, very friendly, extremely helpful and down to earth. Between them and myself I'm not sure who talked more! I had the pleasure of staying in their wedding suite the first night, which was astounding. The view from the wedding suite balcony was breath taking. Incredibly comfortable beds made for an amazing sleep during my two night stay.

Everyone was eager for breakfast in the mornings; with home made bread and jams, fresh fruit salad, quality coffee and juice, and perfectly cooked eggs, it fell short of nothing but perfect for me (I'm a cook, so I appreciate this kind of stuff). The dining rooms were incredible. Their kitchen...oh their kitchen was fantastic, I'm jealous to be honest! And Randell... I will find out your breakfast cooking secrets yet sir, just you wait!

I recall getting a tour of their current building and the expansion being worked on (can't wait to see the finished product by the way!), and saying wow a lot. This was very unexpected and much appreciated by our group.

I will most definitely be returning in the near future, so happy I had the privilege of meeting these people and staying at their incredible B&B. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for easy company, great breakfasts and a classy or romantic getaway.

Thank you very much Claudine and Randell

P.S. Looking forward to those eggs benedict next trip, haha

Very hospitable friendly couple. Excellent breakfast. Eggs, bacon, tomatoes, toast, jams, yoghurt, fruit salad. Chocolate in the room. On the negative side -Too much furniture in the bedroom and yet no comfortable chair to sit in. The grounds are a mess - basically a construction site. No garden. Although this is a waterfront property there is no view and no access to the beach from the property.

My name is Sjoerd i am from the Netherlands and i work for à international Heavy lift and transport Company, so i travel the world and stay in all kind of hotels and B&B's. I just returned from a 3 week visit to a little town called Marystown, on the coast off Newfoundland about three hours from St,John.
I stayed in the Spanish Room B&B, and of all the places and the best hotels this is my absolute favorite. Good and comfortable rooms and beds all with their own bathroom and shower. Breakfast is what ever you want at the time that you want. Even 6 in the morning was not a problem and it was never late. The price is absolute cheap en you feel that these people do this because they love it. Laundry was done and when we worked late they made us a bedtime snack. Butt one of the best features is the breathtaking vieuw over the woods and the enormes lake. The BBQ was ready 24/7 and me and all the guys agree that it feels like home! These people adapt tho the diffrent kind of guests. So er is no excuse not too stay there atleast ones!!!! (Sorry for my bad English) ;-)

After hearing that my reservations for my wedding night had been "lost" at another B&B in the area, Claudine and Randell could not do enough to help me out. They were fantastic!
They explained to me that because the reservation was for my wedding night that once I booked, their cancellation policy was that I would not be refunded if I cancelled. This was simply their cancellation policy for weddings because they had been burned so many times and this policy only applied to bride and groom bookings. I was overjoyed to have a beautiful room booked and had no intentions of cancelling so this was fine with me!
When we arrived at the B&B, we were given a tour of the manor and our breakfast orders were taken for the next morning so that our food would be ready whenever we wanted it.
The rooms, the view, the food, the hosts, were all fantastic and I really enjoyed my two night stay. I would love to stay there again!
