Room was nice and clean ,pool was warm.
Check in was a breeze and accommodating, friendly front desk ..checkout was a different story, very unfriendly and just plain rude.it was a different employee, lady with very short gray hair.
We decided to grab a coffee only before we check out instead of breakfast and once we enter the office heading to the back room where the breakfast was served, she told us “excuse me, can you please sanitize your hand?!” It wasn’t what she said it was how she said it, very rudely, no good morning like the other staff around the hotel.
I would’ve given a 5 star but minus one star during our last day experience.

Our room at the Port Augusta Inn was clean and comfortable. The location is very good - a short walk into downtown Comox, and an even shorter walk down to the beach at Port Augusta Park. The price was a great value.

The service was excellent. In particular, we had to leave early to catch a ferry and when I asked about the possibility of picking something up from the breakfast bar a little before its 7 am opening, the woman at the desk allowed me to pick some breakfast items the night before and bring them back to my room. That made for a much easier and more convenient early start the next morning, and was much appreciated!

Great place to stay. Heat wave of 42 degrees when here and one of only places with air conditioning…saved my life! Yes it’s a bit older but clean and good free breakfast. Some reviews said it’s old and worn out…..if you want perfect pay 4 times the amount at the resorts lol. I thought it was great for price range and was a third of bigger hotel chains so suited my needs and even though I can afford more expensive hotels….I would probably come back here and spend extra money on entertainment in the city

This is an older, budget place, no frills so to speak, but clean with a very good complimentary breakfast. Our room was super cold, but a call to the front desk fixed that with a space heater. Check in quick and easy, staff polite and efficient. The breakfast - boiled eggs, toast, cereal, muffins, yogurt, fruit, juices, coffee and tea - was nice. It’s served in a tiny space, but you’re welcome to take your tray to your room, which is a bonus. Parking is ample and free right outside your room and the area, of course, is lovely, with several good restaurant options nearby and Sushi Wara right there.

This was our second time here, and I wouldn’t hesitate to return if the price remains reasonable.

when we entered our pet free room the stench of wet dog was very heavy, we had to leave the sliding glass door open all night it was so bad. In the bathroom there was a big spider web hanging down, stains on the carpet, over all not the cleanest place.
I have to say the continental breakfast was ok, not a lot of choices, but better than just a danish. the woman manning the breakfast room was quite loud and said it is sure crowded in here, then said it is only 2 allowed at a time! there were no signs to say as much, or if there were they were not very visible. I know with Covid it makes sense, but how she said it had us rushing out of there… even though we were the first in the room. Over all have to say it was a terrible experience. Would never recommend this to anyone. We did mention the horrid dog smell at the desk and they just said Oh sorry about that.

No frills but clean, quiet and well located. Staff were helpful and friendly. The room was small (I had asked for a basic single) but didn't feel cramped. The included breakfast is less than what most hotels offer, but a perfectly adequate "continental".

The room was on the second floor, outside wooden stairs could use some attention. The beds were comfortable, place was clean and I did like the little patio with two chairs though the view was of parking lot with only a tiny sliver of water. The pool was great, not too cold so enjoyable. Staff friendly & welcoming and continental breakfast OK. The furniture in our room was borderline shabby, in particular the blue/green chair cushion was actually threadbare.

This hotel is not along the hwy through Courtney, but near downtown Comox and the waterfront. Having said this it therefore seems to offer a clean decent stay for a reasonable price. There is an outdoor pool which we didn't use due to other things to do and a cool evening. The breakfast room is tiny but we managed fine, and the offering was not as varied as many other hotels but in the end adequate enough. The staff were friendly and the room was clean and offered a good sleep. There are a variety of places to eat, both within walking distance and esp with a short drive. The pier offers a great place to stroll and digest supper, and a splash park for the kids. I would use this place again while in Comox due to location as well as a decent place to stay at a reasonable price.

Too bad I didn't know this when I booked. Secondly, all we could get was a room with an upstairs loft. When the temperature outside hit 28 celcius ....and upstairs loft is absolutely out of the question.....no windows and no air conditioning from the lower level......cool air does not rise. We had to try to sleep on a pull out couch which was badly bent out of shape.

This was our second time staying here. First off it’s an older motel BUT the rooms are very clean, beds/pillows were excellent (no dips in the beds) It seems to be run very well and surprisingly quiet for a motel. It felt safe and comfortable. Can’t fault anything with our stay and truly enjoyed it.
