I’ve stayed here twice, once in the summer of 2019 and once the summer of 2018. This hotel is perfect for short trips for myself and two kids. We fly directly into Tampa and rent a car. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the airport. This is not a luxury hotel but on both trips the room was clean and comfortable. Every room has an oceanfront balcony, which is fantastic. The rooms all have kitchenettes so we stop at Publix for groceries and never have to leave the hotel to eat. It’s literally right on the beach. The beach here is never overly crowded since it’s not as popular as St Pete’s or Clearwater. You can walk about a mile up the beach to an area where they sometimes have bouncy houses and other things for kids. My kids don’t like to swim in the ocean, so we spend most of our time at the pool. There is plenty of seating around the pool and the tiki bar is awesome. The bartenders are always friendly and they have a lot of snacks like popsicles and pizza rolls. The drinks are great and not too expensive.
The only real con is parking. When you check in they give you a parking pass for your car. If you are lucky, you can find parking in their covered parking area attached to the hotel. If you do, keep it. This is why I recommend getting groceries and trying not to leave the hotel. If you can’t find a spot there, you have to park across the street, which is a real pain if you have things to carry.
Overall, it’s by no means a fancy resort style vacation spot, but if all you need is a clean comfortable room while you relax at the beach/pool/tiki bar, this is a great place.

First, let me say that the room was comfortable and clean. It definitely needs updated, but no major complaint about the room. I selected this property based on the description of the location and that eating, shopping and entertainment was within walking distance. If you want to park your car and walk, choose another location. This is a very large property and when we arrived we were told that there was only one ice machine working and that the heated pool was not heated. The elevators are very fast, that was a plus. There is limited parking on the side of blvd and because it was not crowded, we were able to park there. In high season, there is a large parking lot across the street. There is a pool bar that also serves food. We did not utilize that, but it was open. I would not call this a resort and not quite sure why they charge daily resort fees. At the very least, they should make sure the pool is heated and ice machines are all working if they are going to charge the fee. It was discounted to $16 and change per day, but honestly, that should be refunded. I have always stayed in North Redddington Beach and will definitely return and back to that location.

Island Inn Resort, Room 423, a direct rental from the owner, is right on a white, soft, sandy beach on Treasure Island. The best feature of this studio is the amazing views of the gulf with its floor to ceiling windows and the peaceful quiet beach. The studio offers updated furnishings in a one room setting with a kitchenette. A comfortable bed, a two-seater sofa and a breakfast nook table are just right for one couple. The kitchen appliances consisting of a top stove is old and needs updating. The kitchen pots and cutlery are only adequate for a quick breakfast meal. No serious cooking can be accomplished with the available pots. The 4th floor balcony offers amazing views of the sunsets which is a daily ritual observed by many on the beach. The resort is an older building but management offers great service in checking in and daily coffee in the main lobby. It is a family resort and the studio is right above the swimming pool area which tends to get noisy when kids are swimming in the pool. The area is within walking distance to Publix and a couple of restaurants. John's Pass is a Pier with restaurants right on the water and makes a great day excursion located within a 4 mile distance from the resort. The area offers a free taxi service just for along the 9 mile beach area, drivers rely on tips for compensation.

We had a wonderful stay at Island Inn Beach Resort on Treasure Island. We have family in the area to visit and we decided to get a hotel on the beach for convenience and our privacy. The location is absolutely perfect with an amazing beach. The hotel itself has a older beachy vibe to it and management has done a good job with the upkeep. Some of the guest rooms are renovated each having its own unique style. We decided to splurge on a renovated room since I am very particular about where we stay and it was renovated beautifully. The staff was helpful and kind during the reservation process as well as our stay. We will be return visitors in the future. Very happy with our stay.

They have nerve calling this place a resort and charging a "resort fee". When I asked why they did, I was told because they have parking, a pool and maid service (which was non-existent due to COVID). I told them I could get all that at Motel 6. There was no gym or any "extra" that your typical resort would have. You had to pay for a lounge chair or umbrella on the beach. In the very small lobby there was a standing hand sanitizer station which was never filled the whole time we were there. They had a coffee maker there, too,, but never made coffee. Our room had a floor fan that had enough dust on it to make a blanket! When I lifted the cushions on the sofa to see if it was a sleeper, I found lots of dirt. The TV was difficult to watch because it went from ear piercing loudness to a whisper. When I complained at check-out I was told the manager would call me. It has been 3 days and no call. I guess they just don't care.

We stayed at this property two years ago on the 6th floor and all was great. This year in unit 412, not so much. Positives: Fantastic view of the Gulf from the room and great location in Treasure Island. Negatives: Items described in rental agreement were not in unit upon arrival. (Beach chairs, DVD player, etc.). While Itrip did correct after I complained, for the amount of money paid there should be an inspection prior to check in by Itrip that all items are there as stated!! One night at 11:22pm we were scared to death when someone opened our front door (with an electronic key) and entered the room. They immediately left. After talking to front desk and Itrip about the incident, I am still waiting for an explanation as to how this happened! This is UNACCEPTABLE. Another day we went to enter our room after an excursion and none of our keys worked! Again no explanation as to how this happened! One day we took a walk and forgot our keys. Front desk kindly gave us a new key ——- PROBLEM, they never asked for any identification!!! Again this is UNACCEPTABLE. The bed in the room is horrible; kitchen faucet drips all night; toilet rarely flushes properly. I could go on and on, but there is no point. Please do not rent this unit.,

I will start off with what needs improved. Glass door on shower track very dirty upon arrival and read same issue in other review. Top cover on one bed had a small but noticeable stain on it. No extra blankets in room. Only a sheet and top cover. Would suggest bringing a small blanket when AC blows right on your face at night. Noticeable stain on couch in living room. Needs a deep clean. Table top glass missing on balcony table. Should either remove it altogether or replace glass as it can not be used for anything. What we did like was the kitchen was well supplied with pots, pans, kitchenware and cutlery. Had everything we needed to cook our meals. Has a Keurig but no K-cups supplied. Thankfully Publix nearby to purchase. Closet space is functional and enormous and plentiful for all guests in our family. Hair dryer and iron worked well. The front staff person was quite friendly with check-in that we appreciated. We did have to go every day for towels and occasionally for more toilet paper. Beds were fairly comfortable. TV worked well and games provided. Thankfully a beach umbrella was provided along with a wagon full of beach toys. The view from both balconies were amazing in morning and at sunset. The pool was nice and never too crowded when we wanted to use it. Food & service at Tiki bar was good. We would definitely stay here again with only minor improvements needed. A short walk to the beach and they have outdoor shower spigots to wash off sand in which we appreciated & used daily. Give this place a try!

The room was cute n cozy but they can get a new bed mattress, it was horrible. Very disappointed in the bed. Fortunately it was rainy & slow because the privacy would have been zero. The patio's are too close together & the street noise on the Bay side was awful. Cleanliness I give it a higher score but the patio & under the loveseat were neglected n nasty. I appreciated it stocked with kitchen pans, utensils & 2-burner stove. The vanity mirror was streaked & unappealing. I had no tv & had to call for their maint guy right off the bat was unpleasant. I never did find the ice machine hidden somewhere I suppose. Didnt see much of the housekeepers to ask for anything they arent there very long. The lady was short & unfriendly at check-in nicer lady on check-out. I would choose the gulf side if I visited again but won't due to the awful beds. They provide a few old beach chairs but they recline too far back to be of any use. Thankfully the weather was awful or I could have been very unhappy.

Island Inn was highly recommended to us from friends that were former unit owners. We were in town for their daughter's wedding about 4 blocks south of the inn on the beach. The views from the rooms are beautiful and oh so close to the water. Coffee in the lobby, swimming pool and tiki bar plus additional areas enclosed from sun and wind for serving food, etc. We did just that during our stay - hit the grocery store, grilled burgers and brats, and fed about 25 people. Four grills available but only two had propane. Several other renters were disappointed and went back to their units. This should not happen - extra propane should be on hand. We stayed 5 nights in a private unit, and 2 nights in 2 separate units. The inn's units were very clean and the beds quite comfortable. We are from the north so having heavy bedding is very uncomfortable, especially with the air conditioner blowing directly on us. The AC can't be helped but sleeping isn't 100%. We would stay here again but the room prices are all over the map. The staff was always very courteous and helpful. I would check it out carefully next time. Great location.

Most rooms are efficiencies with a small kitchenette, a bathroom, bed and pull out couch. Our room, 406, had a king bed (the worst bed I've ever slept in, needs to be replaced) and a full-size pull out sofa. The furniture and everything in the room is dated and worn out. The room was clean, plenty of towels, kitchen was stocked with the basics and a toaster and Mr. Coffee (also a generic single cup Kuerig, which we didn't use). The air conditioner worked well, just a bit noisy. The balcony, with the great view of the beach is very small and had 2 flimsy chairs that were not tall enough to let you see over the railing. Lots of guests that smoke, the rooms are no smoking, but every time we were on the balcony, we could smell cigarettes, ugh! Some sketchy looking people hanging around, also. The beach is beautiful, as are most west coast Florida beaches. We will not return to this property.

Yes, you can bring a cooler to the beach. Not sure about the pool. There is a nice little bar adjacent to the outdoor pool with friendly bartenders to serve you drinks and good food as well.
