Finally got to take our RV on its maiden voyage . Thank you Covid 19 for slowly making an exit. We wanted to stay close to home as we're newbies, really thought that this place would be packed as we were just allowed to camp a week previous. We had lot N19 (which should have been a good omen ; meaning No C19. Lot was double size and had full hookups. A 5 minute walk to the beach and a 2 minute walk to nature trails though the bush beside us. Sites were clean and maintained and had no problems trying to maneuver around low hanging branches. They have internet for purchase of $7.00 however would not work in our area of the park. They were more then sympathetic for this and a big Thank you to Cheryl who drove out to our lot to apologize in person. Two ways to access the beach and it seemed to be private to the campground as there was no worry about social distancing with all the room at our disposal. As we were in the transient section we had no noise to speak of, can't speak for the seasonals though. Everyone we were in contact with was polite and obliging. A great start to our camping adventure.

Average campground with basic amenities. We picked this campground for the beach but it was very eroded and rocky, not a great beach and very different from the pics on their website. 30 amp power was an issue as other reviews have mentioned. Doesn't make sense that you can't use all the features in your RV including electric hot water tank etc - when you're in a private campground and paying premium rates! Camp store was very limited and closed early, perhaps due to covid. Close to Point Pelee (25 Min drive) and Wheatley, and seemed like better RV camping than Wheatley. Decent campground if you're in the area but we wouldn't rush back.

Probably the cleanest camp ground we have ever been to. The restrooms and showers are spotless. They groom the beach sand every morning. We went in the off season and it was very quiet and nice. We selected the pull-through spot right on Lake Erie for our first motor home trip to Canada. It was great and we will return to that spot again in the future. People were nice. It was easy to book and pay. There was a boil-water alert for the town when we were there, but they let us know as soon as that was lifted. It was not a big inconvenience.

I just want to take a moment to shout out to Campers Cove for having amazing and patient customer service. i must have called 4 times and emailed in regards to possible cancellations with Covid. Each time they responded promptly and courteously. I can only imagine how many calls they must be getting all the time with everything up in the air but they don't let that falter their customer service quality when navigating reservations. Just wanted to give them a shout out!

We were able to book a last minute site opening weekend in May at Camper's Cove, it had been well over 20 years since my last visit to CC, now with my own RV. I was blown away by the beauty waterfront site we booked steps away from the beach. It included a gazebo and brick fire pit. It was a much needed relaxing weekend away. This site was 50 amp with water and sewer hookup, but they have many different sites to choose from for weekenders and they all looked great and spacious. The park is mostly seasonal and everyone seems friendly. This park is professional and they have attention to detail. The owners/staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They have a store on site with many things you might need, eggs, bread, RV supplies, advil etc. They have amazing ice cream and some food items to choose from. This seems like a kid friendly park, lots of teenagers and younger around. I checked out the showers and washrooms a few times and they were bright and clean for a park. Our section of the park was quiet.
We had a great time just walking around the park and the beach.
will return!

We visited from October3-7 2021. It was an easy check in and a beautiful park. Every Staff member we met was very friendly. The park is kept extremely clean and you always see the workers maintaining the park. It was quiet and very relaxing. I would guess on the weekends that it would get busy but we were there during the week. I would highly recommend.

I would like to start out by saying that this has been one of our favourite parks to camp at for over 10 years. It’s a beautiful park, very clean and well maintained and the staff are super friendly. That being said, this park has no pool, a few small parks, and a disappearing beach. I am curious how they think that raising the price up to $10 a year per site (transient) is going to keep people coming back? $82.50 for a pull through site per night plus tax is a little excessive! We go to the KOA in Port Huron Michigan and pay less then that! The KOA PH has 3-4 pools, a huge water park, paved roads, golf cart rentals, a train that goes around the whole park, batting cages, mini putt, go carts, shops, restaurants, bumper boats etc! Totally worth that kind of money! But to pay $82.50 plus tax a night on a long weekend or even $72.50 a night at campers cove for only a nice clean lot seems crazy to me!
Again, I am not here to downgrade campers cove because we still love the park. Just not sure we can afford to go there as often as we’d like!
I really hope that the owners think about this pricing and realize that it is not in line with any other campgrounds in the area!

This is a very large campground with good sized lots and well maintained. There are lots of old, large trees for shade. The layout can be confusing at first but it was also fun to bike around. There is a small hiking trail, two playgrounds, multiple points of access for the beach depending on your location and volleyball and badminton nets.

I'm used to swimming in the ocean but Lake Erie was very nice. The water was clean and warmer than I expected. The beaches were also very beautiful and the owners told us they had the large metal wave breakers put in to preserve the beach.

I'm surprised this place doesn't have more reviews. We wished we could have extended our vacation to stay another week here!

On driving into Campers Cove we were impressed with how well maintained and laid out the entry area was, but then we got inside.... we might as well have stayed home it was like a sub division. Well maintained landscaped yards with gazebos, concrete patios and cultivated vegetation. The area overlooking the lake , all but a small area, was taken by long term campers . Saturday there was a country and western group which were very good.

Lacked a swimming pool , lake did not look that good to swim in

The washrooms are very out of date and could do with a coat of paint and new locks

Sorry we won't be back this is not our idea of a Campground

Hi Patricia, Thank you for your feedback. We have just recently verified our business with Trip Advisor and can now respond to our reviews. 3 out of the 4 washrooms have since been completely renovated or rebuilt. If you visit our facebook page you can see both interior and exterior photos. The style of camping we offer provides excellent amenities with extensive activities. The alternate is more of a bush style camping usually at the Provincial Parks with limited family activities. The 1200 feet of clean sandy beach is monitored daily and in fact we have not ever had to post a beach closed condition. All sites along the beach bluff are premium seasonal sites, however we may consider a couple of overnight sites to look out onto the bluff in the future. Thanks for your feedback. Geoff Gerrish, Campers Cove.

We have rented a cabin at Campers Cove for two years in a row now and can't wait to return again. It is a very family friendly place. The cabin sites are beautiful and within eyesight of the playground. The beds aren't the most comfortable but at least the cabins are clean and quiet. I would recommend the cabins along the ravine instead of the ones that back onto the field as those ones tend to get used by the children as a walkway. The kids love the 'train' ride and the children's' activities. There are two cons: 1) the toilet paper in the washrooms is terrible. Very very cheap and thin. I would suggest bringing your own, and 2) there is no hand dryer or paper towels in the washroom nearest the cabins - you need to wipe your hands on your clothes.
