We stayed here over Super Bowl weekend. Super cute boutique hotel. Great location within walking distance to beach and Ocean Drive plus several restaurants around hotel. Rooms were nice with mini fridge, ice available at front desk. Beach chairs and umbrellas on hand to carry to beach. Breakfast available plus wine in the afternoon. Valet parking was a huge plus since parking in South Beach is limited and expensive. I thought hotel was reasonably priced considering a lot of hotels were sold out and we got their last room.

The best thing about the hotel is the staff. Super friendly and accommodating.

So I ended up finding this lovely gem when my flight back home was canceled. Their prices were amazing and they were able to accommodate me at such a short notice. I wish I would’ve found them at the original start of my trip. Would’ve saved me a few hundred. I loved that it was still close to the beach and affordable. They give you chairs and umbrellas to take to the beach. My favorite part was my room didn’t have carpet and made it easy for me to get the sand from the beach up and it was freshly mopped on my arrival. It was nice how they set the tv up to stream Hulu, Netflix and YouTube from your phone. It was like watching tv at home :) the staff are all friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to make sure my stay was comfortable. I will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

The front office staff was the best, but the housekeeping, breakfast and the smell in the room left something to be desired. I know it is humid in Florida, but the musty smell in our room was overpowering. If you stay here, make sure you ask for a second floor room and check out the smell before you give the credit card. I should have known better when I saw the glade plugins in the hallway and in the room. The breakfast was meager consisting of bread, a couple of hot hardboiled eggs, milk, yogurt and cereal.

Room Tip: Make sure your room doesn't smell moldy and musty. Room 104 was not very good.

I never contradict but knowing that in our hotel I talk about cleaning / mold I don't accept it when we have a centralized Mitsubishi air conditioning system ... OBVIOUSLY IT MUST BE KEPT ON .... otherwise it creates humidity and smell ... the cleaning in our hotel is obsessive .. while breakfast is written what is offered. good luck

We were just there overnight. When we checked in they gave us two rooms. We went to our room and the door was already open. We walked in and didn't see anyone. Strange. I left to ask front desk something and when I came up the keys didn't work (we didn't have to use the keys the first time b/c the door was open. They were never able to get the key cards to work so they gave us an actual key. We settle in to watch TV. This room was set up for blind and deaf people (which if I was one, would have been so nice). When we watched tv - all actions on the screen were being narrated. It was very hard to get used to. Also, there was not table or chairs in the room - which made it difficult for my daughter to do her homework. When I went to check in I asked about parking - she said they offered valet, I could look for street parking or find a garage. It was late, I opted for valet. She didn't say the garage was next door (and MUCH cheaper). Our room actually had a view of the garage. It would have much easier then the valet. The breakfast was nothing great. Bottles of off brand OJ, yogurt, hard boiled eggs and coffee/tea.

First of all, thanks for your visit to our structure, we appreciate your review but we specify that perhaps you were wrong in booking tables and chairs and it is difficult to find them in south beach unless you book an apartment. otherwise I don't want to contradict otherwise we will have to write a book. good luck

The staff was rude. They lied about the cost of parking and the ability to park around the area. Forcing us to use there valet. When calling down for our car from the valet, it took 45 mins to get our car. I paid for the deluxe room and the room was strange. The room I paid for was a king, and they provided to full beds pushed together for our bed. There were no blankets on the bed or sheets, just one big fitted sheet over both beds to keep them together. The bathroom had bad water damage especially bad above the shower. The bathroom also had a weird hole in the wall next to the light switch. They charged a ridiculous amount for towel. They didn’t provide anything, no water. They charged 2 dollars a bottle for Kirkland water. It would have been nice to have some water. The terrace was beautiful but it was so incredibly loud that you couldn’t enjoy it. Overall I was hoping for a nice place to stay and everything was an extra charge, and not nearly worth the price.

We stayed 2 nights. The room has a fantastic location but that's where it ends.

The owner needs to pay attention to the rooms and update them as needed. Our room was sold as a 2 bed queen, but the beds are only double. The bathroom lacked a bath mat, tissues and storage for amenities. The shelf under the mirror was a joke and was barely attached. It was very cold in the room and they didn't have any blankets and our room was missing the nespresso coffee maker, so we had to share with another room or go to the reception for coffee in the morning, very bad.

There was no TV remote, instead you need to use your personal Netflix or Amazon to watch something. If you don't have any streaming service you're screwed and will not be able to watch anything. They are too cheap to subscribe to a cable service so they want their guests to do it for them. Not cool.

The reception staff was super and helpful and were always available.

We would stay again if they they update the bathrooms and maybe get a cable provider.

Currently staying here now. Super disappointed in this hotel. We have two hotel rooms at two different hotels so I can compare the amenities between the two and this hotel is sub par. Our other hotel is the Hilton Bentley which is also overpriced and not that nice, but 100 times better than villa italia. The room has rust, it’s dirty, there is only one blanket. The toilet roll is broken, the water smells foul when you flush the toilet or use the shower. The shower is rusty. The beds are uncomfortable. They charge you for a second room key. And the kicker is they charge $60 a night for two people to use their “amenities” which are NOTHING. We paid one thousand dollars for 4 nights at this dump. Total rip-off. Would never stay again.

Hotel does not have parking and the guy told us that the parking garage was 20 a night so we did that and it was $20 for 5 hours. He said we could not park in valet. Resort fee which I had no idea what that went to. One roll of toilet crappy toilet paper, ask for more and the guy said he would get some and never did. Stain on bed and pillows it was gross. The rooms were a good size, heat was set at 70 and could not adjust, fridge did not work well. Overpriced for crappy service I normally like staying at smaller owned hotels but not this one!

Worst costumer service!!!
I called to change my reservation and the lady who is there Sunday night said she would do it herself and send me an email confirmation. She never did and she never sent me an email so I called back because I was charged for a night I did not spend in the hotel and my reservation has not been booked for the right dates. I have been calling every day and have talked to 3 different people within the last week and no one can find a solution to this simple problem. They said the manager/owner is out of the country and no one else can help me. Every hotel and restaurant has someone in charge who can take care of situations like this. I am pretty upset and disappointed. I need someone who speaks English and knows how to do this job to contact me ASAP.
