After reading many of the reviews I had a minor concern staying here prior to our cruise. I must say we were pleasantly surprised starting with the shuttle pick up at the airport as it was within 10 minute wait after phoning the hotel at 2:30 p.m. Tip for this particular shuttle was it referenced both the Candlewood and Holiday Inn Express hotels which the hotel clerk did tell me on the phone. The driver did however, get out of the van and hold the Best Western sign up. Upon arrival at the hotel we were able to check in at 3:00 p.m. Upon entering our room it appeared to be one that was renovated, more than perfectly acceptable for a multi night stay. Although we did not have time to use the pool it was big enough to get some laps in and had enough lounges for the size of the area. I must agree with the other reviews that the breakfast area is very small where you get your food and there are literally 24 chairs of which 8 are at a high top bar type table. There was a good variety of food and taste was consistent with other BW properties. You can get a cup of coffee, tea and packets of hot chocolate 24 hours/day. The hotel will arrange your transport to Port Everglades at specific times depending on the ship you sail out on. The charge that is conveniently billed to your room is $21.40 for two. They use a third party company called, All Stars. For any last minute snacks, bevereages, alcholic or other drinks you can pick up at the Southland Plaza that is literally across the street from the BW. The plaza has a Winn Dixie, a liquor store, a Bealls, Big Lots, McDonalds, Slackers Bar-can get pub plus type food here, a Subway and a pizza restaurant so good variety if you are in the mood for some basic foods without having to drive. To summarize, we would certainly not hesitate to stay here again prior to our cruise next time we find ourselves in the Fort Lauderdale area.

First of all, I booked this hotel as it had 24 hour shuttle service to the airport. I did not see it written anywhere that the shuttle only went every hour, on the top of the hour. There apparently was only one shuttle bus. It meant that if we took the 6:00 AM shuttle we would possibly not have a made it to the airport for airline's 2 hour ahead suggestion. So, we had to take the 5:00 AM shuttle and get up an hour earlier at 4:00 AM. In the morning we found that we had to make a stop at the Candlewood Suites to pick up other passengers. Apparently BW shares a shuttle bus with the Candlewood Suites, at least in the morning! We had to wait almost 45 minutes for the shuttle to arrive to pick us up at the airport. Other hotel shuttles went by three times before our bus came. Our room, while clean, had an odd smell. And 10 minutes after we were in our room, another guest was trying to use their key to get in ours. The desk clerk had given them a key folder with our room number on it. So, I feel that we paid a high price for a Best Western to get a shuttle and breakfast (which we were not able to even have as it didn't start until 6:00 AM and we needed to be on that early shuttle at 5:00!) As a travel agent, I'm not so sure that I would recommend this Best Western for travelers needing an airport hotel in Fort Lauderdale.

We have taken many cruises which depart from Port Everglades. Our choice of hotel prior to the cruise or post cruise has been the Best Western Airport/Cruise Port. We keep returning to this hotel for a number of reasons. First of all, it is very close to both the airport and cruise port. Secondly, we have observed the staff to be "consistently excellent." The front desk personnel and the housekeepers have been very accommodating and good for us. This past visit, we received some outstanding service from Jada. Thank you Jada. Finally, this hotel gives us very competitive pricing compared to similar properties in Fort Lauderdale. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

We chose this hotel due to its convenient location to both the cruise port and the airport, and I was able to use Rewards points. However, we will never stay there again. The rooms were clean, there were restaurants within walking distance, and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage until the room was ready, but it was complete chaos on a Sunday when people were leaving for a cruise or checking in for one. The desk clerk was completely overwhelmed, the lobby was much too small for all the people coming and going, and the whole place needs a complete renovation (we could hear the TV in the next room, for instance, and doors slamming all over the premises). The next morning was worse: we booked a 6:00 a.m. airport shuttle, but when it didn’t come and we wanted to speak to the manager on duty, he had disappeared! The poor breakfast hostess, who spoke no English, looked for him to no avail. The shuttle arrived 15 minutes late and while our group of six travelers made it to the airport in time for our flights, it was very nerve-wracking and annoying. We are very loyal to Best Western but this hotel was definitely not up to the BW standards we expect.

Our company recently signed up for a corporate account at Best Western Hotels we were excited to receive the new rates so our team can be dispatched throughout the US when required so for the past week we have stayed at a number of Best Western in Florida which includes Tallahassee, Orlando, and Fort Lauderdale.
All experiences were different and I must say Best Western Fort Lauderdale Airport and Cruise is the worst in Customer Service.
The hotel gets a 3 out of 10 in experience.
Recieving extra sheets or blankets is always pass of to the next day when the maid comes who doesn't clean your room everyday.
There is no night security at the facility, again the staff attitude stinks and as a Diamond points member its a waste telling them because they tell you whatever happens at the next Best Western Hotel doesn't apply to them because different owners.
I recommend hotels in the area when visiting Fort Lauderdale and not this one.
The prices are to high for a quarter of the professional service you will get because they don't seem to care.

Stayed here one night before a cruise only because they had a 24 hour shuttle and our flight areived after midnight and other hotels we’ve used in the past did not have shuttles after midnight. When I called hotel from airport the night clerk said shuttle would take 20 min and he pulled up immediately. Shuttle driver driving for several area hotels and was pleasant. Night clerk when checking in looked like a drug addict who was having a bad time. Unkempt and disheveled and personality of a door mat. When I called hotel before booking they said they provide shuttle to cruise ship for a fee, and front desk could arrange. Night clerk said to arrange with day clerk. Asked day clerk and was advised they don’t have a shuttle and asked for a later check out other than 11am and would not give us a late check out. Hotel was not full. We only saw 4 others at breakfast.
Noise of workers outside the hotel woke us up. Air conditioning was not working well and a few hours after adjusting thermostat it finally worked. Beds hard, minimal bedding and too soft pillows. Room had coffee maker, alarm clock, iron and ironing board, microwave and refrigerator. Bathroom has small bar of soap, shower cap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion. Breakfast area did not appear to have tables cleaned after others left, and tables not distanced and masks not required in food area. Only a hand sanitizing area at front desk and not in eating area. Did not feel COVID protocols were very good at all. Breakfast was adequate. Juice, hot chocolate, ham, egg and cheese breakfast sandwiches, bagels, muffins, individually wrapped apples, yogurt, cereal. Breakfast stopped at 9:30am and right at 9:30 they closed everything down quickly and even turned off juice machine. Would not stay here again due to attitude of night clerk and day clerk, and their not so helpful attitudes. Find another place.

Had a great time here while visiting Ft Lauderdale with some friends. The room service was impeccable and the staff were very respectful when it came to privacy. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were spacious enough for all of our needs. To add on, I loved the continental breakfast that was provided and felt satisfied after every meal. I will definitely be coming to stay here again.

I booked a room here the night before a cruise. They offer a free shuttle from the airport to the hotel. When I called the hotel for the shuttle I was put on hold for 15 MINUTES! I finally hung up and got my own transport to the hotel When I got there, there was no one at the desk. There was a note on the counter that said that they would be back in 5 minutes. Ten minutes later someone showed up to check me in. My cruise was cancelled the next morning and when I asked if there was a vacant room for me that night I was told they were booked. The desk clerk made no offer of assistance in finding another room somewhere and couldn't be bothered even telling where there was another hotel nearby. I finally got a room at a Hampton Inn next door but I needed help getting my luggage there. When I asked if the shuttle to run me over to my new hotel (the shuttle was sitting in the parking lot). She said no they couldn't do that. She was not quite rude but she had a really bad attitude. The breakfast room is right in the lobby and it was so crowded that morning with everyone going to their ships.

Clean hotel, room and breakfast area. Large breakfast choices: eggs, sausage, hot oatmeal, cereals, toast and muffins, fresh fruit & more. A free computer for customer use . Even though room cleaners didn’t speak English, they were incredibly friendly. Walk next door to McDonald’s. A strip mall is a few feet away. Winn Dixie, Big Lots, Subway, Dunkin, Wendy’s. Everything you might want and need is here! Free airport shuttle driver is wonderful. Safe area. I can’t say enough good things about this Best Western!!! We stayed twice in this month. Ok.... I wish the pool was heated. brrrrr.

Yes, there is a shopping center within walking distance with a liquor store, grocery store and restaurants.
The airport is just a few miles from the hotel. The hotel shuttle runs every hour on the hour and gets you there fairly quickly. However, don’t push your time because the shuttle may have other hotel passengers to pick up before dropping you at the airport. The shuttle is nice because they drop you directly at the Terminal
It's 24 hours, just call when you get there to make sure they have a shuttle on the way to pick you up.
