Love this place. This was our third visit. Excellent location, clean, plenty of room, friendly staff. Had some issues with a different hotel in Pompano and called Soleado to see if they could accommodate my husband and I at the last minute. They were so nice, owner called me back personally on her cell phone and luckily had a room ready for me due to a last minute cancellation from another guest. I will never stay anywhere else again when I’m visiting that part of florida. Planning a two week vacation there agowith family in 2024! Can’t wait!

Loved this hotel. It was quet, clean and the perfect location. Many resturants and bars within walking distance. Rooms are spacious and very clean. They may be a bit old, but they had everything that we needed. Pool was nice and never crowded. Beach was a 5 minute walk. Hope to back to the Soleado soon.

Very good hotel near the beach, big suites with all one would need.
Armando and very were very helpful and nice.
Every room with beach chairs and umbrella.
The AC were a bit noisy, that is my only complaint, everything else perfect. —————————-

Let’s started by saying the hotel got an excellent location, is near to restaurants, coffee shops, etc, the kitchen is equipped, have elements to go to the beach.
visitors and music are not allowed, careful with Mrs. Silvia, she is rude, she thinks she runs a correction institution, not a hotel.
in this place there is no entertainment and you are no allowed to entertainment your self either.
I paid for a corner apartment and they gave a regular room.
It’s not allowed to leave the car in the parking lot after you check out.
Every summer I rent at Las Olas and I never got problems but here the management Andres y Silvia super rude and not professional.

We were very disappointed with our stay here. Upon arrival you were met with a camera door bell and the key was in a lock box. The only time we saw the owner was when the toilet blocked they said not to flush paper as the drains are sensitive to put used toilet paper in the bin beside the toilet which is a health hazard to guests and their staff.

Room a bit run down. No laundromat, no security box, no food at hotel. Very noisy people in other rooms. Pool ok, free parking and wifi. Close to beach and only a five minute walk to restaurants. Parking difficult as whole area had pay parking and machines did not accept UK credit cards.

We booked a room here back in March thru VRBO for may 8 thru 15th. We paid in full at time of booking. We texted renter on the 6 and 7th to inquire how we get the keys with no response. We flew into miami from Boston and hopped in an uber to start our vacation. 10 min out we get text saying host cancelled our reservation!! We are both in early 60 and dragged our suitcases around ft Lauderdale for 2 hrs to find a place with openings. We paid 550 more for the week. We ended up at Fortuna hotel. They were pleasant, waited for us and the place was immaculate and only 1 block to the beach.

Horrible experience. Traveled 900 miles to find out they overbooked even after having a reservation and confirmation of our stay. There are no employees on the premises and you can only contact them through a ring camera. They did not offer to help us except to contact hotels.com to let them figure it out. Do not stay here!

I chose the Soleado based on the reviews on TripAdvisor and elsewhere. We prefer small places like the Soleado. It was even better than I expected. We were greeted by Silvia, the hotel manager that lives on the property with her husband, Andres. She walked us to our room and helped carry our luggage. She showed us our apartment which was spotless and beautifully decorated. We stayed here pre cruise for five nights and post cruise for three nights.

We used Uber to go to Publix grocery store about 1.5 miles away...$4 each way. We bought groceries and cooked steaks, chicken and turkey breasts and vegetables on the gas grill. We were able to cook on the two burner stove top in kitchen to make rice and potatoes. There is a frying pan which we used to make eggs. Toaster, four cup coffee maker and microwave too. I brought my own coffee and there were no coffee filters. There is a roll of paper towels and I used a towel tocreate a coffee filter. I also took sugar, salt, pepper and dry seasonings and used it all! They have two large picnic tables by the grill as well as tablecloths and grilling utensils. Good lighting to sit and eat in that area after dark.

We also used Uber to go to and from the cruise port and to the airport. Only about $12 each way. We also used Uber to go to the Southport Raw Bar to meet some friends....that was $18.

We used the beach chairs in room and went to the beach a couple times. The beach is very nice and not crowded.

The location of Soleado is great. Many nice older two story hotels nearby. The property is very relaxing. Beautiful palm trees and landscaping. They play nice music during the day, The pool is kept very clean and I saw a pool service come twice while we were there. Most rooms have a couple chairs outside the room to sit and relax. We were on the first floor by the officer and we did not have chairs but there were two nice seating areas by the office with a love seat, two chairs and coffee table. There are also three or four seating areas in the pool area. I liked that there was always a place to find shade to get out of the sun when we got too hot.

A previous reviewer complained about the office not being staffed from 9 to 9 as indicated on the office door. There are probably 12 or 13 apartments. Once everyone is checked in, there's not a lot of reason to be open 12 hours a day! Having stayed there 8 days, the office was closed a few times but not for long... maybe 30 minutes. One day Silvia came back with cases of water, juice and snacks (cheezits, Oreos, Lorna Doones, potato chips, coffee) which are for snack baskets in your room. A nice touch!

As previous reviewers stated, the wifi was slow some of the time and yes, the air conditioner is loud but did not prevent us from sleeping. The air conditioner worked well but it is one thing I wish they would change.

Silvia will make any arrangements you need....taxi, pick up for area attractions, she was a perfect host. She offered to give me oil for cooking, she even kept a few of my groceries for when we returned from cruise. She also loaned me a different size saucepan than what was in the room. This won't happen with a big name hotel! I need a soft pillow because of a neck injury and Sylvia personally sought a pillow which was perfect.

The Bonnet House Museum is just a block from hotel....a 35 acre space full of beautiful tropical vegetation, gardens and beautiful buildings. Pay for the tour.....very educational. Another day Silvia's husband, Andres, drove us about a mile to the closest water taxi stop. We literally spent 8 hours hopping on and off water taxi. A great experience.

There were many restaurants within a 5 to 10 minute walk. A Galleria mall is about 1.5 miles but not much shopping close by. Many couples were walking at night and many people running and walking for exercise. It seemed very safe.

My husband and I agreed we could have easily spent a couple of months living in an apartment at the Soleado. We will definitely stay here again!

We only had one night that was not accounted for in our travel. We found this gem on Expdia Very Grateful! We stopped in early just to check it out, Sylvia was working and let us check in early She recommend a place for us to have breakfast while they finished the room up.
Sylvia and her husband were so accommodating and lovely to chat with. Our room was clean and fresh, it had a big shower full kitchen dining for 4 ... living room with couch and a couple of bucket chairs A lovely basket of goodies awaited us inside.
We overlooked the pool, we were only a couple short blocks to the beach, ( there are beach umbrellas chairs and beach towels in the closet) You will not get this from a big chain!
We had our son and his girlfriend over before supper for apps and drinks. Nice to have the space for that not just beds.
This is close to lots of good restaurants. Great little hotel!

The best option is probably Ft lauderdale beach park further south on beach side or George English park just north and over bridge to main side.. both have some toys, but not direct next to Soledo.

Yes, all the rooms seem to have outside entrances. I think I had heard or read that the property used to be an apartment complex which makes sense with the exterior entrances and set-up of the rooms. There is some outdoor furniture sitting on the walkways outside of the room entrances. It is nice.

Yes, the pool area is open, but they ask that you don't swim late night. They have tables inside and outside the pool if you want to hang
