My husband and I stayed here for six nights two weeks ago, what a terrific hotel! The location is perfect as it's an easy walk across the street to the beach. Being new, everything is immaculate, I even noticed a housekeeper vacuuming the drawers in a room being turned over. Our room was oceanview with a large balcony containing a table, two chairs and a lounger.
The pool wasn't crowded at all and there was plenty of seating. We are Covid cautious and were happy to see 99% of the guests wearing masks. There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance with outdoor seating, it helps to have a reservation if you want to be outside.
We ate twice in the hotel's restaurant, by far the best meals we had. The meatballs are a must!
In both the hotel and restaurant, the staff is incredible. Very friendly, helpful and fun to talk to. We will be returning!

This has a smaller hotel feel so interactions feel a bit more personal. Rooms are new and beautiful. Service was fantastic, from servers at the bar being friendly and attentive, front desk staff being friendly and helpful, housekeeping taking care of the room daily (mopping up sandy floors, making the bed, replacing towels, restocking water), EVERYONE was truly friendly and helpful. Food in the Italian restaurant was delicious. Drinks that come as a part of the resort fee are delicious! Hotel is located on Fort Lauderdale Blvd, directly across the street from the beach. (For your transportation, provide 550 Seabreeze Blvd address for the actual drop off location (the back side) so you’re not dropped off/picked up in traffic). Ocean front rooms have great views and sounds of the ocean...but also of the street traffic so if you’re there during a busy time, like spring break, it can disturb the peace and tranquility if that’s what you’re looking for. Oceanfront rooms overlooking the pool have smaller balconies and no chairs for the balcony. Those that don’t overlook the pool look pretty large. I have no complaints, hotel and area around it were beautiful & clean. There’re lots of food places, bars, within a mile walk. There’s a Market a block over. The marina with its activities is just down the street (plan ahead). Street market on Saturday is just down the street.
Enjoy yourself and relax! I sure did. It was just what I needed.

Bring a bathing suit, some sunscreen, and shoes you can walk comfortably in and you will have all the makings of an excellent vacation. Uber ride is 10-15 minutes from the airport, be sure to let the front desk know when you will be arriving as they were very accommodating to an early check in. Be sure to tell Uber the valet address so you don’t have to carry your luggage up any stairs. The rooms with an ocean view/balcony were worth the extra money for the seclusion and extra space. The in-house restaurant was delicious with indoor/outdoor dining and an ocean view, and there is a Starbucks on the premises that makes ordering from the app super easy. You’ll get pool towels and beach towels from the hotel, plus two bottles of water each day. The beach is a few short steps across the road and it’s an extra $25 a day for an umbrella. Get the umbrella!! (And be aware they only take cash or card at the beach stand-can’t charge this one to your room). After exploring the Fort Lauderdale area, I can safely say that Hotel Maren is in a perfect location. Away from some of the hustle and bustle of city life, but close enough to still be accessible to food and shopping. The staff is friendly, the hotel is clean, the beach and pool are perfectly relaxing. Easiest vacation we’ve had in awhile!
Places we enjoyed eating: Coconuts (right across from the valet side of the hotel) Bo’s Beach for lunch (Right next door) Lona Cochina Tequilaria (.8 miles away, but worth the walk for fish tacos alone) Tokato (1 mile down the strip, but this was our favorite meal of the whole trip. Take it at a slow walk and you’ll be there before you know it)

Husband and I stayed 3 nights beginning of April for our wedding anniversary. Got a great room rate through travelzoo. We love boutique hotels and the reviews of Hotel Maren touted 5* service. THE GOOD: The hotel was beautiful, loved the front outdoor seating area, the lobby bar and the very well appointed room. The location is unbeatable, nice beach, and right across the street from Coconuts, a restaurant we enjoyed so much we went twice. The pool and pool area were very nice and Jennifer the bartender was excellent. The beach area was so nice and the beach attendant was excellent at his job and we really enjoyed talking with him. DISAPPOINTING: I called the day before to reconfirm our reservation and was told we would have a marina view with a balcony. When we arrived we were thrilled to get into our room early (about 11am) but were disappointed we had no balcony and a partial view of the marina. I knew we paid a discounted price so I didn't complain. First asked the housekeeper where the ice machine was and she said she didn't know??? Called the front desk and the machines are every other floor. We ice down our champagne to begin our celebration and I ran down to the front desk to ask for 2 champagne glasses. The woman who checked us in and knew we were celebrating an anniversary told me she had none (even though there is a bar right across from her) and I should go up to the pool bar on the 5th floor. Went up to the pool bar and they of course only have plastic glasses. Go back down to the front desk and then she told me I would have to wait until 4pm when the lobby bar opens. It was 1230pm. Incredible. I asked what about the champagne glasses right here in the lobby???? She said I was welcome to go to the kitchen of the restaurant to see if anyone was there. It was SO exasperating. Luckily I ran into the chef who was more than happy to accommodate us. So if you would like to drink champagne before 4pm at this hotel, your choices are plastic cups or the bathroom cups in your room. Really??? We got two free drinks of the day at the hotel but were never given the tickets to get them when we checked in and then she would only give us two and said we had to come back to the desk every day to get them. Just a lot of unnecessary work for us. Housekeeping: we had to call for toilet paper twice and there were no tissues in the room so I put the container in the bathroom on the bed so they would see it was empty. It was placed back in the bathroom again, empty. We had to call for housekeeping each day because our room was still untouched at 4pm each day. I was really astonished at the lack of service. We would love to return here but the service we received really made our stay less than what we expected.

Beautiful property in an excellent location. Service was also fantastic. Unfortunately, due to the length of our stay we were unable to take advantage of many of the wonderful amenities this time but we have already planned a return trip!
As is often the case in dense urban areas parking was expensive and valet only ($43/day). If there was another option nearby, we couldn’t find it.
When we return it is unlikely that we will rent a car as we will stay in the immediate area to enjoy all that it has to offer. This trip, however, it was a necessity.
I really enjoyed the bath amenities and I actually love the large dispensers for soap and shampoo/conditioner - especially since replenishments during Covid tend to not be automatic in most places and when at the beach I tend to shower more than once daily.
In room coffee maker was a Keurig, another nice touch.
Also be aware that there is a daily resort fee added to your bill as well, which actually includes many “extras” although you may not opt out of it if you are not using them.
These things are standard in areas such as this so they don’t detract from the stay in any way but others may not be aware so they are worth mentioning.
Our only complaint was that it took a full ten minutes in the early morning for the water in the shower to warm up (and I am not exaggerating at all.) it did get warm but that seemed like a long time (and we had a flight to catch, super early!)
I do believe the property is new.

We could not have been happier with our stay at the Hotel Maren in Fort Lauderdale. First, the location was amazing, perfectly situated across from Central Beach and close to all the bars and restaurants but still very quiet. Valet parking is very convenient with a top notch, attentive staff. All the employees have clearly been well trained to meet every need, and I especially want to call out Sean and Jeffrey who were both professional and very helpful during our stay. We had had a very long day by the time we arrived for check in and the General Manager Stu so kindly upgraded us to an ocean view room and WOW!!!!! Great view doesn't even begin to describe it! I woke up each morning to take pictures of the incredible sunrise! Our room was new, modern and spotless and we could keep our screen doors open and enjoy the sound of the waves, while also enjoying a view of the gorgeous pool. Comfortable bed and a shower with great water pressure too. We loved the free drinks included with the room (the frose was delicious) and enjoyed sitting on the couches in front of the entrance with a view of the ocean. The overhead lights provided a little heat on a chilly night too. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the hotel restaurant one morning and loved the people watching and stellar service. Finally, a big shout out to the GM Stu who took the time to chat with us and could not have been nicer. You can tell he loves his job. He has assembled and trained a fabulous staff (including the hostess at the restaurant and the members of housekeeping). We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be back!

If you desire a gorgeous new hotel located on the quieter end of A1A, do yourself a favor book now. Tip - splurge for an oceanfront balcony room, it is totally worth it. The views are priceless. Hotel Maren offers daily complimentary drinks (shoutout to the some of the best bartenders), a veranda meant for evening enjoyment, bicycles and a private prime beach location all worthy of the resort fee. Kevin B. at beach service is a super plus and he will make sure you have the beach set up you desire. To our surprise, there was a Dj spinning classic chill tunes that set the tone for our entire weekend getaway. Thank you Hotel Maren, you nailed it and we will definitely see you again soon.

I stayed at the Hotel for my Birthday, had Blast, the only t complaint I have was about the amenities that wasn't clear. There is a charge for bike rentals and beach umbrellas at the beach just saying other than that clean rooms and staff was always pleasant. I would recommended this hotel.

My family and I checked into the hotel in January 1st 2022. We were greeted by an infectiously warm, smiley and hospitable team headed by the General Manager who was there ON NEW YEARS DAY also welcoming guests and wishing them a wonderful stay and 2022. This way just the beginning, all rooms in the hotel have a balcony with water views. Ours was a beach view with sun chaise we could lay on after a day at the beach or pool. The views were just magnificent especially at sunrise and sunset. The rooms are spacious and airy and because the hotel is new they have that fresh clean look and smell so good. The hues are shades of the ocean blues and whites which reminded me of being in Greece. I loved it. While the hotel does charge a resort fee, they almost all do now, it's the only hotel that ice stayed in where I didn't mind paying it and felt it was totally worth it. Included in the fee was beach chairs and towels at the beach, 2 complimentary cocktails daily, bike rentals daily, wifi, water, yoga sessions daily..... again completely worth it and thoughtfully put together by the team. The restaurant is also AMAZING. Equally fantastic team, honestly this seems to be a thing at this hotel, I travel quite a bit and sadly rarely see teams that genuinely seem to be happy at work, anticipating needs and not once did I hear a single complaint from anyone. This typically trickles down from the top so again cudos to the GM, your team truly rocks! Back to the restaurant, we at there every day for breakfast it was fresh, beautifully presented, on point flavors just so good. Conveniently there is a Starbucks on the lobby level as well so we could get our daily iced latte fixes. We also had dinner at the restaurant twice during our stay, so so good and freshly made pasta *chefs kiss* loved the cocktails and good beer and wine selection as well. If you make it to the gym, which we did since it was the new year you will also not be disappointed. They have peloton bikes, free weights and basically anything else you can think of also it is quite spacious with floors to ceiling windows so you don't feel like your in a small closet which happens all to often in gyms at hotels. Five stars across the board, 10 out of 10 on everything!! Will definitely be staying here next time we come down again. Thank you Hotel Maren and Riviera team for making it a great start to 2022!!

My husband and I chose Hotel Maren to host our small wedding reception and it was perfection from beginning to end. Tyler, Selena, Shane & Team provided us a first class experience that our family & friends are still raving about. The hotel is gorgeous and the view from the pool level is breathtaking! The F&B team went out of their way to ensure the event was flawless. The food presentation was beautiful & everything tasted wonderful. The Team catered to every need our family had and always made us feel safe with gloves, mask, and sanitizer. Tyler thank you to you and your Team for everything you did to make our day so special. We will always stay at your hotel when in the area!

According to the hotel asst mgr the hotel did not know when the event was going to take place. I recommend that you contact the city to make sure that time frame does not have anything scheduled in front of the hotel that would effect your beach
