The Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach is lauded for its cleanliness, with most guests commending the immaculate rooms and meticulous housekeeping, despite a rare mention of cleaning lapses. The hotel's service is frequently celebrated, with travellers appreciating the friendly staff and the personal touches. While praised for its well-equipped amenities and spacious, clean rooms, some visitors feel the hotel falls short in value, pointing to pricey extras. Whenever my friends and I come to Fort Lauderdale, we stay at the Conrad. The service at this hotel is unbeatable. The staff makes you feel as if you are royalty and goes above and beyond in every department. The rooms are always clean and lavish. Staying at this hotel feels like coming home, there is no better feeling!

I don’t typically write reviews but last weekends stay at The Conrad was so extraordinary that I had to share. From the minute I stepped out of car I was welcomed full heartedly. The doorman ushered me in where I was enthusiastically greeted by the ready to serve front desk attendant. While yet another attendant offered a bottled water.
My friends and I shared an opulent 2 bedroom suite with a large ocean view balcony and full sized kitchen that was beyond words. I don’t know how they did it but housekeeping returned the room to picture perfect efficiently and unobtrusively.
Attendants at the pool always made sure we had covered chairs in just the right spot and waitstaff at the pool was friendly and efficient. Food at the pool was far superior to what you’d expect and fairly priced.
I’ll be back Conrad!

The hotel is beautiful, clean and all of the staff was very friendly, from the valet, to front desk and wait staff. Some helpful tips for those traveling with families. I noticed a woman with her 3 tweens checking in and coming room get back down because the rooms were not what she expected. This hotel only has “suites”, however, if you aren’t looking at the pictures, you may assume there is a bedroom with a door..there isn’t. It’s a perfect size room if you have small kids you can make it on the sofa bed, but the only privacy is in the bathroom. We had adjoining rooms for our kids so we were good.

Also, while the rooms can accommodate 4 for sleeping, you only get 2 plates, 2 bowls, etc. The “full kitchen” is very helpful so you can pick up or have Publix deliver groceries. Saves a ton of money on breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages. There is no freezer and while there is a stovetop there are no pots or pans...strange for sure. There is a microwave though!

Finally, during Covid, there are limited dining options on site. Again, with families in mind, there is a high end sushi/Korean restaurant onsite or bar food at the pool. Because there were a lot of bars/restaurants on the strip not practicing safe distancing, I only booked restaurants through the concierge or delivered through grub hub. There were plenty of them that claimed they sanitized, masked up, etc. but absolutely did not.

One negative note, I asked the concierge for a fishing recommendation. And told him I wanted to stay back bay, no ocean fishing because I have a son who gets carsick...he sent me to a place that only does ocean fishing and I found out too late! It turned out exactly as you would expect.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with us. Should your travels return you to Fort Lauderdale, we'd be happy to assist you in booking the right suite for you. It sounds like you booked our Junior Suite which is an open floorplan concept as you know but all of our 1-, 2-, and 3- bedroom suites and residences have separate living and sleeping spaces, plus full-sized refrigerators and freezers. Upon request we can also provide all the cooking materials you would need such as pots and pans, as well. I'll also be sure to share your comments about the fishing recommendation provided and I hope you can please accept my sincere apologies on behalf of the team for that oversight. I hope that we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future and provide you with an even better experience!

It’s not easy to give a fair review because of Covid. The hotel feels very safe, when we went to the room we had to break the seal on the door showing that no one else has been in after it has been cleaned and sanitized. Everyone is required to wear a mask while indoors and that is actually happening.

We were told that there would be construction of the new hotel next-door. We were missed lead in that we were told that the outdoor work was done and they were only doing indoor work and only during certain hours of the day. That was just not true. It was being done from early in the morning till early in the evening both indoors and outdoors, and very noisy. Even with that we may have agreed to stay as it was where we wanted to be.

There is very limited eating opportunities on the property. The one fancy restaurant will be discussed below.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

The Takato Is the name of the restaurant in the hotel. We made reservations for one evening to eat out of the doors, as we will not eat inside a restaurant at this time. Coming from Michigan with a lot of strict rules, we found this location of appalling. It was very crowded with no social distancing, almost no one, other than the staff, used masks. It was extremely noisy.

The only redeeming thing with the restaurant was a charming young hostess named Brittanae.
She clearly understood what our problem was, tried to find us another location in the restaurant that might work and finally offered to help us get takeout which she brought to the room. If it wasn’t for her the entire evening would’ve been a major problem.

If I were to be able to read the hotel in parts I would give a five star to the room, a five star to the staff. A one star for the construction and noise next-door, a one star for not having a way to provide food on site with room service.

Thank you for sharing and for the specific feedback. While we're disappointed to have only earned three stars, we are glad that our suites and staff earned the five that we strive for. Thank you for your kind words about Brittanae too! I've shared your feedback with our restaurant team so we can ensure that all the local rules and regulations are being followed. At this time, due to a county executive order, traditional in suite dining services are closed but as you know, our outlets are offering deliver-to-suite options. We hope that knowing both that, and the construction is temporary, means that we'll have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future should your travels return you to sunny Fort Lauderdale.

We stayed in one of the 2 room residences over Christmas weekend for 4 nights. We really enjoyed the large balcony, although it wasn't quite as enjoyable after the construction started up after the holiday weekend. There were some maintenance issues but they were promptly dealt with when we reported them. The main beef we had with this residence was that the 2nd bedroom was really small with a twin-size bed and no storage space with drawers so you really have to live out of your suitcase and you can only put one person in that room, even a kid. But fortunately the second kid slept fine on the living room pullout sofa which was comfortable and we used some of the kitchen drawers to put clothing in. The pool was nice and the pool area is large. The gym was surprisingly decent, better than the hotel's website led me to believe. The location is great, right on the beach near other hotels where you could find restaurants. The hotel's breakfast restaurant was not bad, but things like Dole fruit with your eggs or Pillsbury-like pastry were not a good match for an upscale property especially when the restaurant charges high prices. The takeout cafe near the lobby was excellent with very good breakfast and lunch options. I didn't use the spa. The hot water, air conditioning and elevators were all very good. Even though the hotel was full, we hardly ever saw anyone else in an elevator. The water is yellow like all of Fort Lauderdale, but safe they say. Staff was very friendly and the rooms were decorated in an interesting modern way. I'd stay here again but would want a 3 bedroom apartment if I had two kids. The Ritz Carlton is a 10 minute walk down the street and if you want better breakfast and dinner, their downstairs restaurant is an excellent choice. I'd also be happier if you could buy a newspaper such as the NY Times in their boutique or in their cafe instead of having to go online or look elsewhere in the city for a printed paper. It would be a great idea if the hotel could put some shelves in the bedroom closets of these apartments so that people could have some storage space.

We only had one night in Florida and we needed a nice hotel. This hotel was right on the beach and all I had heard was good things about it. The minute I walked into this hotel Rachel made our experience so much better. I’m a diamond member so she upgraded our room to a bigger suite. She also made sure all of us hungry girls would be able to eat breakfast and dinner. Their restaurant was closing in 30 minutes and she guided us over there so we’d be able to eat just in time. She made sure we were well taken care of! We also had a lot of concerns with breakfast since COVID. Most hotels usually have a breakfast buffet downstairs but she assured me we would all get our breakfast and we could order it up to our room. I usually get free breakfast downstairs with my diamond status so she made sure we all three had our breakfast credits.

Also, room service was exceptional. Our coffee machine was giving us some problems, could’ve been user error but they brought a coffee from room service and didn’t charge us. They were so accommodating. They even packed up our breakfast so it was easy to take with us. Everyone we spoke with was sooo nice!

Lastly, the room was beautiful! The room had marble floors, three balconies, two bathrooms, a beautiful stove, a fridge, and a kitchen area. The views of the beach were so pretty. They had a nice area to eat out on the balcony and the beds were nice and comfy. They had an iron, umbrella, robes, a huge tub and all other types of things we could’ve used if we stayed a little longer. The tv was also huge!

My only regret was not being able to ride one of the bikes they had free of charge on the beach before we left! Thank you Rachael for making our experience that much better!

This was our third visit to the Conrad in three years. It is not inexpensive, but the setting, amenities, and location (directly in front of Fort Lauderdale beach) make the indulgence worth it. Conrad is slowly evolving from a hotel to a resort/condo, but in the meantime is still bookable. The staff are unfailingly friendly and helpful, and the rooms and public areas are handsomely appointed. The Terra Mar restaurant on site is a lovely dining space, although, like most hotel cuisine, the food is so-so and not inexpensive. Only three things detract: the inevitable, absurd “resort fees” tacked on to the cost of the room, exorbitant overnight parking fees, and small lapses in housekeeping (including carpets in the corridors that are looking a bit fusty.) Nonetheless we love the. Conrad and will—God willing—be back again next year.

We had a great stay at this hotel. The person who checked us in, Jose, was the nicest and most helpful hotel employee we've ever encountered. We've stayed at hotels where we had our own personal butler and Jose was better! I have Diamond status at Hilton but they were unable to upgrade us up front for each night because I booked separate reservations (some nights using points/free night certificates and some using cash), so he was kind enough to try to find out our options and showed us the layouts of the room we booked vs the room to which could be upgraded for the first night (and then maybe again for the subsequent nights, but no guarantee), and once we saw there was no major difference and we didn't want to risk having to switch rooms then we stuck with our regular room. The room was absolutely perfect. It was a junior suite partial ocean view room, but we had a wide view of the ocean as well as a view right over the pool! The room was very spacious with 2 TVs, a large king bed, & a large bathroom with double sinks. The hotel's room service was not in operation due to the pandemic, but the on-site restaurants would deliver to the room, and we received $20 vouchers per person each day toward food as my Diamond benefit. My bf brought his PS4 (the PS5 was scheduled to be delivered a few days after our trip) and hooked it up to the TV but we had trouble changing the input of the TV, so IT quickly showed us how to do that on Christmas eve night. Housekeeping came by each day and gave us whatever we requested since we declined to have our room cleaned due to the pandemic. However the room was very clean upon check-in...it was sealed off to indicate that no one had been in the room since its deep cleaning, and Jose notified us that they keep the rooms empty for 4 days after guests leave, so we felt very safe.

We got off a cruise ship and arrived here at 8:30 a.m., a bit early of course. The man at the desk indicated that the room had been vacated and he would put a rush on Housekeeping, all sounded great. We did our thing, went to the 6th floor pool and bar (fantastic) and checked with the desk at 1:30; we were told that whomever was in our room was still there and had not checked out, so it would be 4 pm or so. The Front Desk Manager at the Conrad overheard us, asked us what room type we had booked and within 15 minutes (or less) the desk called us and told us that our room was ready. What a room! Large, very spacious, two bedrooms and baths, wraparound view, balconies, everything we could ask for and more (obviously an upgrade). Really appreciate that the Conrad "makes things right" when there is a problem. Great housekeepers and bar and pool staff. Be sure to spend time on the 6th floor (we had a few drinks and apps there which were good and reasonably priced). Definitely will return when we next take a cruise.

This is our second visit in six months. First, to be clear, the hotel is lovely. Absolutely nothing wrong. Just four star not 5 for a variety of little reasons.

1) no greeting whatsoever by bellhops or door attendants when you come and go. They just ignore you unless you need their help.

2). Very limited dining opportunities. If you don’t like upscale Japanese you are basically out of luck for dinner. And even lunch is pretty limited. Breakfast rather limited as well.

3). Pool attendants are great but waitstaff not well trained or polished. Pool side food service stops at 5pm, which is really too early. Food quality was just good. Definitely not memorable.

4). Beach attendants are unmotivated and it is sort of silly that with the resort fee they only include seating for 2 at the beach.

5). Fitness center is adequate but not up to par with most 5 star properties and worst is that there is no shower or changing facilities if you arrive before checkin time or have a chance to stay past check out time.

6). On our first stay the room wasn’t ready by checkin time.

7) not all rooms have balconies than can accommodate chairs for sitting out - some have just enough room to stand. Why even have a balcony then?

8) now that the 4 seasons has opened next door, if you are in that side of the property, there is no privacy if your shades are open - it is completely open for the property next door to watch you. Note that the reverse isn’t as true because the rooms at the 4 seasons are angled towards the water.

9) the soaps and toiletries in the room are the exact same as in the lower tiers of Hilton - would expect more upscale soap and shampoo at a 5 star.

10). Even if you are trying to enjoy the early evening beach, the chairs are collected right at 5pm. Why not allow you to stay comfortable until dusk?

11). There is turn down service but no little extras like nighttime battles of water left on the bed stand or chocolates on the pillow. And no minibar or snacks in the room.

This all said, it is a lovely place to stay with large well thought out rooms (equipped with good single serve nesspresso coffee) nice common areas, an attractive bar and “library seating area” and good access to a quiet stretch of public beach.

There is a reason the rooms at the newly opened 4 seasons next door are more expensive than the Conrad. Even though Conrad bills itself as 5 star, what you get is decided 4 with a few hints of more.

Happy New Year! There is a 24-hour CVS pharmacy/ convenience store that is a 12-15 minute walk from our resort. There is a Publix supermarket that is 1.3 miles from the resort across from The Galleria Mall however, that would be a longer walk.
