My friends and I shared an opulent 2 bedroom suite with a large ocean view balcony and full sized kitchen that was beyond words. I don’t know how they did it but housekeeping returned the room to picture perfect efficiently and unobtrusively.
Attendants at the pool always made sure we had covered chairs in just the right spot and waitstaff at the pool was friendly and efficient. Food at the pool was far superior to what you’d expect and fairly priced.
I’ll be back Conrad!
Also, while the rooms can accommodate 4 for sleeping, you only get 2 plates, 2 bowls, etc. The “full kitchen” is very helpful so you can pick up or have Publix deliver groceries. Saves a ton of money on breakfast, lunch, snacks and beverages. There is no freezer and while there is a stovetop there are no pots or pans...strange for sure. There is a microwave though!
Finally, during Covid, there are limited dining options on site. Again, with families in mind, there is a high end sushi/Korean restaurant onsite or bar food at the pool. Because there were a lot of bars/restaurants on the strip not practicing safe distancing, I only booked restaurants through the concierge or delivered through grub hub. There were plenty of them that claimed they sanitized, masked up, etc. but absolutely did not.
One negative note, I asked the concierge for a fishing recommendation. And told him I wanted to stay back bay, no ocean fishing because I have a son who gets carsick...he sent me to a place that only does ocean fishing and I found out too late! It turned out exactly as you would expect.
We were told that there would be construction of the new hotel next-door. We were missed lead in that we were told that the outdoor work was done and they were only doing indoor work and only during certain hours of the day. That was just not true. It was being done from early in the morning till early in the evening both indoors and outdoors, and very noisy. Even with that we may have agreed to stay as it was where we wanted to be.
There is very limited eating opportunities on the property. The one fancy restaurant will be discussed below.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
The Takato Is the name of the restaurant in the hotel. We made reservations for one evening to eat out of the doors, as we will not eat inside a restaurant at this time. Coming from Michigan with a lot of strict rules, we found this location of appalling. It was very crowded with no social distancing, almost no one, other than the staff, used masks. It was extremely noisy.
The only redeeming thing with the restaurant was a charming young hostess named Brittanae.
She clearly understood what our problem was, tried to find us another location in the restaurant that might work and finally offered to help us get takeout which she brought to the room. If it wasn’t for her the entire evening would’ve been a major problem.
If I were to be able to read the hotel in parts I would give a five star to the room, a five star to the staff. A one star for the construction and noise next-door, a one star for not having a way to provide food on site with room service.

Also, room service was exceptional. Our coffee machine was giving us some problems, could’ve been user error but they brought a coffee from room service and didn’t charge us. They were so accommodating. They even packed up our breakfast so it was easy to take with us. Everyone we spoke with was sooo nice!
Lastly, the room was beautiful! The room had marble floors, three balconies, two bathrooms, a beautiful stove, a fridge, and a kitchen area. The views of the beach were so pretty. They had a nice area to eat out on the balcony and the beds were nice and comfy. They had an iron, umbrella, robes, a huge tub and all other types of things we could’ve used if we stayed a little longer. The tv was also huge!
My only regret was not being able to ride one of the bikes they had free of charge on the beach before we left! Thank you Rachael for making our experience that much better!

1) no greeting whatsoever by bellhops or door attendants when you come and go. They just ignore you unless you need their help.
2). Very limited dining opportunities. If you don’t like upscale Japanese you are basically out of luck for dinner. And even lunch is pretty limited. Breakfast rather limited as well.
3). Pool attendants are great but waitstaff not well trained or polished. Pool side food service stops at 5pm, which is really too early. Food quality was just good. Definitely not memorable.
4). Beach attendants are unmotivated and it is sort of silly that with the resort fee they only include seating for 2 at the beach.
5). Fitness center is adequate but not up to par with most 5 star properties and worst is that there is no shower or changing facilities if you arrive before checkin time or have a chance to stay past check out time.
6). On our first stay the room wasn’t ready by checkin time.
7) not all rooms have balconies than can accommodate chairs for sitting out - some have just enough room to stand. Why even have a balcony then?
8) now that the 4 seasons has opened next door, if you are in that side of the property, there is no privacy if your shades are open - it is completely open for the property next door to watch you. Note that the reverse isn’t as true because the rooms at the 4 seasons are angled towards the water.
9) the soaps and toiletries in the room are the exact same as in the lower tiers of Hilton - would expect more upscale soap and shampoo at a 5 star.
10). Even if you are trying to enjoy the early evening beach, the chairs are collected right at 5pm. Why not allow you to stay comfortable until dusk?
11). There is turn down service but no little extras like nighttime battles of water left on the bed stand or chocolates on the pillow. And no minibar or snacks in the room.
This all said, it is a lovely place to stay with large well thought out rooms (equipped with good single serve nesspresso coffee) nice common areas, an attractive bar and “library seating area” and good access to a quiet stretch of public beach.
There is a reason the rooms at the newly opened 4 seasons next door are more expensive than the Conrad. Even though Conrad bills itself as 5 star, what you get is decided 4 with a few hints of more.
"Traffic is busy around there so give extra time. Ask for a room on the north side if you want to see sunrise, south side for a view of pool"Read full review
