Detailed Reviews
We loved this motel! We had a room with two double beds. When we go on vacations we're looking for a simple room to sleep in at night as we don't go on vacation to sit in a hotel room. We were very pleased with the room. Comfortable beds and pillows and simple tv selections to unwind in the evening before bed.
Two major bonuses:
1. The lake with a canoe and adult size life jackets that we were able to use. We had a wonderful trip around the lake which is also available for swimming.
2. The hot breakfast. We've stayed in a lot of motels with included breakfast and usually they're muffins, cereals, and fruit. But here were wonderful breakfasts! Two of us had the eggs, bacon and toast and one of us had the blueberry pancakes and bacon. The jam was homemade. It was delicious.
We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area.

Super clean and super friendly, the Sunshine Inn had everything we needed for a girls getaway from the city! It was a larger group of us...18 in total and the staff were very helpful in getting us organized. After a full day of kayaking, we were able to relax in front of the outdoor fire pit. Breakfast which is included was delicious and with lots of coffee provided by our friendly waitress we set off to explore the rest of the day. I will be back next year for sure!!

Greeted in office by friendly staff. Motel rooms were sufficient for stay. Not overly large, but just outside the room door is seating. Large property. Breakfast in the morning is a great feature. Wait staff were helpful - and they provide homemade jam/marmalade with the breakfast that is a nice addition. The motel/cabins were all booked on the weekend we were there, so I believe that is enough to ensure it is more than adequate.

The rooms are updated and very very clean. The breakfast included is all homemade and included in the room price. Homemade bread, jams all very delicious. The owners were very nice and accommodating. The location was great, not many places to stay in this part of NS. Close to all amenities and even a lake just at the back of the property!

Sunshine Inn never disappoints! We’ve spent many summers in Parrsboro we highly recommend this Inn. Both cottages and motel are very clean, and newly renovated! We love the selection of INCLUDED hot breakfast and the service is excellent! Lovely couple own and work together. A private, fresh water lake is on the property and available for swimming, canoeing and fishing. Our grandkids love swimming here! Great stay as always!

Would definitely recommend The Sunshine Inn. Clean rooms, great breakfast included, tables sanitised as soon as people left, extremely friendly owners/staff. We shall be back. Short drive to town. Drive around to see the highest tides and the lowest tides of the Bay of Fundy, can’t get enough. Actually our second stay here, but a few years in between. Celebrating our 28th Wedding Anniversary.

This motel is extremely clean and comfortable. I was skeptical because it is an old facility but it has been updated and I was very impressed. I will absolutely stay here again. The staff was friendly and the complimentary hot breakfast was awesome.
Great spot for sure. Very nice walking trail through the woods that leads to a swimmable lake.

One of the nice surprises of our trip. The room was big, clean and pleasant. The breakfast was good. The price was reasonable, and there is a lake a few minutes walk behind the motel. The owners are nature lovers and have interesting stories about their encounters with wikd life.

The Sunshine Inn, just outside Parrsboro, was a pleasant surprise. We only stayed one night, but will definitely be back again. The room had all the amenities and the hot breakfast (we both opted for the Sunshine Special) was excellent. We had the opportunity to have a nice chat with the owners, who have only operated the property for the past five years. They have been making constant improvements and have some wonderful future plans. We’re looking forward to seeing them unfold. We would have had the opportunity to check out the lake and trails on the property had we stayed longer.

Sorry, The Sunshine Inn is a pet free facility.
Don't know the pet policy. My experience was the best way to communicate with The Sunshine Inn was by phone, 902-254-3135. It is a real small operation several miles out of town run by the couple who own it. I enjoyed my one night stay. The room was very clean, the staff were friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast (at an extra cost). An attractive place but not fancy.
