My name is Marwen Jallouli. I've checked in a hotel called Alkhalidia resort in sharjah UAE using your app. But unfortunately, things went way too wrong there. When we arrived there me and my girlfriend we found no booking even though we have the paper that confirms that. We managed to get a room hardly knowing that the hotel was almost empty. But the Russian receptionist tried to up sale. The pool was dirty and noone is using it looks filled up with dirt and rotten leaves of the trees. The room was freezing and we couldn't off the Air conditioner because it's not automatic but it is locoated in another area. The shower stall wasn't functioning good and was letting the water out so the whole area was full of water. No mini bar exists. 10 channel TV. Noise started from 7 morning as two Indian workers began to trim the palm tree and of course non stop talking until late 10.30 am . We had no pleasure staying there since the early beginning but we were forced to stay as we had no choice out of tiredom coming from a far place just to rest ourselves. But it was in vain. When we went to check out, I started to state the problems for the reception but they did not care. They held our passports and id's and refused to give it up and they said that we have to pay the full amount. How come we pay the full amount and we were not pleased. No one can say to you good morning in that hotel. At the end a Russian receptionist came and tried to challenge us and wanted to win the battle. We felt weird. So we werecommend forced to pay just to get rid of that stress and to flee from their disastrous faces. I won't forgive them all and I'll contact higher officials to deal with those cheaters.
The hotel name is Alkhalidia resort and it is located in alkhan area 2.3 Miles from the centre of sharjah.
A total fiasco in the true meaning of the word.
Lemme tell you that its illegal to hold anyones paasport as per the laws of UAE. One can even complain to police...
Also we should get it removed from booking sites by posting our reviews...
So that no one is cheated again...
It can sometimes also cost on our health and as well as life....
I ve seen because of hotel staff negligence a child loosing his life unfortunately. . . And he was there only child...
we didn't eat at their restaurant, coz most of the meals are russian , but when we went to restaurant to check it we found it very neat & the smells were dilicius , I like to try different culture meals , but my wife never would try any food except Arabic , so unfortunately I couldn't taste it.
Nothing much for children , except small section for kids of the swimming pool , we don't have children yet, but this note may be useful for families with kids.
I liked the place & will definitely stay there again when I visit Sharjah, I'm not saying that the hotel is the best on its category , but it has an optimal combination of Clean , Comfort , Service Value comparing to the low price.
1- No room cleaning even after I met one of the staff and told him that it needs cleaning, needless to say that the "Please clean the room" sign was hanged already, but they didn't care.
2- Broken sanitary and lighting fixtures, when I told them that the fluorescent lamp in the toilet keeps flickering, their solution was to remove it making the toilet less lighted.
3- No laundry service, and their response was "There is a nearby laundry".
4- When I required lunch, they said to me "Our food is not suitable for you, we have only Russian cuisine" (I'm Egyptian), I told them that I have no problem with Russian food, but they only said "Sorry sir, there are nearby restaurant".
NOW TO THE REALLY HORRIBLE PARTS:
5- I came back at night to see a cat that caught a mouse in front of our building.
6- AC was very cold and after a long search for the AC regulator, I asked the reception and they said that it is controlled from another room.
7- As soon as we reached the hotel they took the passports of my family and I, and insisted in keeping them in their safe, saying that this as per the regulations of Sharjah (Not sure if this is true, or it is just one of their weird things).
I booked this hotel for two weeks, but I couldn't withstand more than three days in this hotel and I had to leave.
If its a group stay and your just looking for a place with low price this resort is OK but you need to bring your own food or prepare to explore outside for food and drinks.
I really recommanded this hotel,I’ll come back 100%

I got a standard room on the first floor of building A (to the left of the pool and restaurant).
In the room: a large double bed with bedside tables, a chest of drawers with drawers and a mirror, a large built-in wardrobe with shelves and hangers, a refrigerator built into the TV stand. There is no balcony, but from the panoramic windows there is a view of the neighboring house and the hotel wall (I never opened the curtains!). The bathroom is equipped with a shower stand (separated by a glass partition), a small washbasin and plumbing fixtures (toilet + bidet). The supply of soap and shampoo (miniature packaging) was replenished daily.
The air conditioner and fan were constantly on (I did not change the settings on the remote control, I was comfortable).
Meals (half board) - according to the hotel class.
Breakfast - you won't leave hungry (eggs, chopped vegetables, cheeses, cereals, cereals + instant coffee and tea bags).
Dinner is different every day (soup, rice, meat/chicken or fish, baked and canned vegetables, several salads with and without dressing, sliced oranges and watermelon, sweet desserts).
At breakfast, the waiters constantly asked whether I would have lunch or dinner (most likely so as not to cook too much).
Al Khan Beach is 5-8 minutes away at a leisurely pace (crossing busy roads). At the entrance, they sometimes asked for a voucher (and the entry price was 10 AED). Twice in the morning you could get to the beach by a hotel minibus and, accordingly, twice in the afternoon it picked you up from the sea. Beach towels were provided at the reception desk.
I didn’t use the hotel pool (but the kids were constantly frolicking there).
There are several shops and restaurants/bars within walking distance.
The holiday was a great success! I recommend this hotel to unpretentious tourists who come to swim, sunbathe and travel around the Emirates and not sit in their room and eat their fill! On a subsequent visit, I will consider it as the main option for accommodation!
