Location, location, location ... and it was clean, bright and friendly.
This hotel is colocated with a Homewood suites and has great facilities and breakfast (pool, gym, two breakfast buffet options). The rooms were clean and functional in a very Scandinavian way which I appreciate. The staff were helpful and I would 100% stay here again.

Tru by Hilton Albany Crossgates Mall, was an excellent experience for our women's lacrosse team for a one night stay. We utilized 14 rooms and all were very clean, with a smart attractively colorful, minimalist design. The hospitality of all of the staff was excellent - friendly, polite and courteous. The breakfast experience, especially during this unique pandemic, was above and beyond, even during normal times. Shantasia and Jessica made special plates of breakfast for our party of 28 and customized artful waffles as well. Never stressed, just polite and friendly professional staff that treated you like a guest, like back in the days one would expect when travelling to a good hotel. Do not hesitate from booking there.

Unfortunately, when we arrived the room wasn't ready, so we had to wait at least 20 minutes. Finally after we entered the room it was beautiful with heart towels and Apple Cider drinks for the newly weds. Unfortunately, the next day (same room) the couple arrived at 4:30 only to find, the sheets weren't changed, and the room wasn't cleaned. Check in at most hotels are 3:00 p.m. Why are people cleaning a room at 8:00 p.m. at night? This happened to the newly weds!!! They were rudely interrupted with someone opening the door to their room stating: "I'm here to clean your room!" At 8:00 P.M.!!! Also, there wasn't any clean towels when the couple arrived.

New hotel with a very cute modern design.
Beds are very hard and uncomfortable. Did not get a good night sleep for the days i stayed there. Breakfast was lacking substance and quality. Smashed my knee on the bed frame multiple times a day. They extended the bed frames for extra storage because they do not have dressers or closets, so be aware. I read the reviews prior to booking so I had high expectations and was very disappointed with the lack of comfort and quality. Your room is not cleaned during your stay unless you ask. So don’t expect no daily fresh towels, made beds, emptied trash cans or vacuum everyday.
On a positive note, It definitely was quite and the darkening curtains worked very well. The hotel room also very clean .

A beautiful, new property loaded with amenities and a very welcoming crew.
JeAna at the front office was incredible and went far above and beyond to accommodate our requests. Her thoughtfulness and professional courtesy were greatly appreciated. Trisha was also very helpful and quite informative. Kiyah who was the first to greet us upon check-in, immediately made us feel welcome and we were settled in quickly and comfortably. Although the rooms have a minimalist design, they are well-appointed with everything you need, along with being fresh, clean, and very comfortable. Wish I could have stayed longer but they were sold out for the rest of the weekend. Thank you for an awesome stay. We'll be back!

All our expectations were met for safety, cleanliness, and comfort. The room was well equipped with great blinds on the window that kept out the early morning sun. Temperature was controlled by a wall thermostat. Bed was pleasantly firm. Coffee maker, fridge, and microwave were available. Breakfast was tasty.

My family headed down to breakfast early. That didn’t stop Shantasia from greeting us with a huge smile. Aleina was quick to refill the water when she saw it was lower and they even let us know when fresh Bacon was brought out. It was a lovely experience. Clean and fresh. The automatic pancake maker wowed the kids (and mom!). Great family time. Quiet and comfortable environment.

This is my first time staying at “Tru” brand hotel. Absolutely impressed by the room and service provided. The hotel is only about 3-years old; room is clean and the best is that there is no more wall to wall carpet. Front desk and breakfast room staff are so friendly and helpful too. Throughout the lobby, there are masks, sanitizers, and disinfecting wipes everywhere. They even have some gift toys for young kids too. It is a hotel that will be loved by kids and adults. I am very happy for making the right choice.

We’ve stayed here several times, as it is located close to restaurants and shopping in Albany. It is always very clean and well maintained. The rooms look brand new. The staff is very helpful and welcoming. They actually have a light scent in the air vents in the common areas, it’s so nice. We will definitely be staying again!

Best Hilton we’ve ever stayed at. Very clean and new rooms. Location was close to freeway and also in front of the mall. Excellent customer service(front desk and the ladies serving breakfast!). Even had a toy for my 3yo which he loved! Also received the complimentary bottled water for being Hilton members. Breakfast was the best since the pandemic started. It was hot breakfast, not the go-to bags(although this is also an option). They had gloves for you to wear while getting food(since it’s buffet style). Really good food options too. Loved the pastries/sweet breads and impressed that they had almond milk as an option for dairy. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.
