The hotel is so close to being perfect.

The food is amazing - always fresh and lots cooked to order / while you wait. Not your usual mass produced chips in a tray. El Gaucho is well worth booking into if you like your steak, although if I am honest, we would have been quite happy with the buffet restaurant every night.

The location is superb. A 15 minute beach side stroll to cafe mambo to watch the sunset.

The butler service is great. Very efficient and helpful. Make sure you get the WhatsApp link.

The pools are wonderful and even though there are still the usual clowns that throw towels down on the beds, we never had any difficulty in getting beds, even in the afternoon.
The rooftop pool is well worth a visit and the small beach close by is well worth a visit (although very busy).

Our room was lovely,. Large comfortable bed and nice modern, clean and straightforward feel to the room. My only gripe was that the “sea view” room we ordered was more of a side sea view and on our day of check in, we couldn’t get into the room until 16:20pm, due to the cleaning not being complete!!! That was disappointing.

The varied entertainment was good, not too over the top and easy to stay with, or move away from.

There are plenty of bars although no consistency in terms of quality of drinks made. Every mojito tasted (and looked) very different. If you order at poolside, prepare for a long wait or to be forgotten about.
The bars didn’t seem to have any system in place, often having to remind the bar staff that, 10 mins later, no drink had been received and then only half an order coming.
The same when trying to get a taxi; the staff had no system in place and were like rabbits in headlights. My advice, if you want a taxi, stroll down to the centre and flag one down.

The vast majority of staff were very helpful and very friendly. Some, however, were very dismissive and clearly couldn’t be bothered. I think that’s the same in a lot of hotels though.

So, develop some sort of system for the staff, especially at the bar and develop some consistency throughout the hotel (and get rooms ready before 16:20) and it would be hard to be critical.

We would have absolutely no hesitation in returning and recommending, and will be back as soon as we possibly can!!😀😀😀😀🌅🌅🌅🌅🌅☀️☀️🏖💃🕺☀️☀️

There is a one star review recently posted by somebody saying she was bullied and intimidated by restaurant staff. There is a notice at the entrance saying please wait to be seated which everybody did but not this couple. She also didn’t mention that she went into the waiters area filming a staff member before a staff member did the same to her. I saw it all and her manner was less than pleasant.
Food at the main restaurant was varied and enjoyable at all meals except for the odd dinner where the meat/fish quality was a bit lacking. We tried the Gaucho a la carte one evening but were not impressed with the choice or quality of the food.
We used the small pools rather than the main and the beds and bar service were great. Unfortunately having no control on the beach towels led to abuse with people leaving them all day on beds when others could have been using them and also using too many. A card system where you swapped your towels for a card and visa versa would stop the abuse and save on the laundry bill which must be huge.
The rooftop pool and bar were great for the evening entertainment but the girl singer/ guitarist and the Spanish dancers felt a bit incongruous.
We had a deluxe sea view room that had a lovely view over the bay, be warned however that the glass door between the toilet and the room doesn’t give much noise privacy.
I would expect the lifts in a five star to be spotless but they sometimes were not.

I just arrived home following a 5 night stay at this wonderful new hotel. It’s situated at one end of San Antonio Bay, next to Cala Gracio beach so the location is perfect and there are lots of bars / restaurants within walking distance.
I will summarise the pros and cons below:
Pros; Amazing food, truly 5 star. We had great meals in both Gaucho & Helios (a la carte) and in the buffet restaurant you can still order freshly made meals at breakfast like eggs Benedict and pancakes.
Drinks - again , great options available, cocktails freshly made and branded spirits etc. The Rose and red house wines were very nice (not normally the case at AI hotels!)
rooms are beautifully decorated and beds were comfortable enough.
The service at the hotel was very good and all of the staff were very helpful and worked really hard.

Cons;
Bottles of water would be nice rather than small plastic cups of water, you kind of expect this at a 5*
The Q for the buffet restaurant was long some days, felt like it was all a bit chaotic in the buffet restaurant and the poor staff were rushing about everywhere.
Not really a con as such as it didn’t bother us at all but more of an observation, you can tell the hotel has been renovated rather than being new - some of the fixtures / finishes In the rooms were a bit shoddy. Shower leaking out of the bottom into the toilet where it hasn’t been sealed properly and panels loose etc.

Would I come back? Absolutely , yes if the price is right. Already checked out for next year and looks like prices are going up.

A big thanks to Emilio & Soufiane at the breakfast / lunch service and Carlos in Gaucho who really went above and beyond with their service levels.

Overall, a fantastic stay and yes I would come back again

Really wanted to love TRS. Started well with upgrade to sea view room which was spotlessly clean, lovely view, great start. Recommend booking sea view as the standard room overlooks the carpark and a very noisy generator. Think this would make the balcony pretty unusable for sitting out.
After that, rooms cleaned in record time, soon realised that meant making the bed and not much else, no bed linen or towels changed.
Public areas rarely cleaned, same litter seen for days.
Hard to find beds as no one removed towels when they left and no staff tidied the areas at any point.

Mini bar contained two beers and a bag of nuts which we were told we could eat/drink but after that anything that was replaced would be chargeable. Later in the day it was fully stocked and we were told it was replenished every 3 days complimentary, we are yet to see if we are to be charged!

Buffet restaurant, food lovely, drinks service intermittent, gaucho very limited menu, but food was nice and decent service but we were poorly for 2 days after eating there, may have been a coincidence?
Helios, again limited menu, nice first two courses, not easy to get a second drink and left after waiting 20 minutes to order our desert after being asked if we wanted one but then never coming back to take the order.

Bar service and quality of drinks was very poor everywhere.

This could be a great hotel with attention to detail, consistent service and all the staff being as friendly and attentive as the butlers who were excellent.
Not 5 star or good value for money at the moment.

I booked this ‘5 star butler service’ trip for my daughter and I as she had just passed her degree. So I thought it would be worth splashing out as a treat for us both. How wrong could I be.

I rang ahead to ask for beds to be separate and they assured me this would happen. When we arrived the butler showed us to our room and gave us a number to contact should we need anything. The beds were not separated so I mentioned it and I was assured it would be dealt with. For the five days we were there nothing was done. We didn’t see the butler again. Our cases were not brought up for hours and we had to go down and ask for them.

The room was cleaned only twice during our stay once at 11pm at night making us vacate the room in our pyjamas. We had no clean towels for days having to dry ourselves with sandy beach towels. We had no toilet rolls for the last day of our stay. The phone number the butler gave us didn’t work.

I raised all issues with the manager who sincerely apologised and promised to resolve all issues but did nothing. I used the live chat six times to highlight problems and still nothing dealt with, just promises.

I don’t mind spending hard earned money on high quality hotels if five star service happens but we were completely let down. To be told that 6 cleaning staff were not working is unacceptable. This meant dusty, dirty rooms with no towels, shampoo and dirty sheets.

The all inclusive restaurants were not always open. One night none of them were open due to an event. We were assured there would be food at the event at 7.00. By 8.30 no food still so we had to get a taxi to a restaurant and pay for food even though I’d paid for an all inclusive package.

The pool bar was not open for the whole time we were there. All inclusive drinks were not always available.

One of the lifts kept dropping with customers in them.

There was water leaking through several electric lights in the lobby.

On our last night the power failed meaning emergency lighting came on in the room and the air conditioning went off.

Do not go there unless you want to pay five star prices for two star service.

We stayed at this hotel many years ago before it was completely refurbished and my review on that was not very complimentary as it was in dire need of major investment.
A number of years on I find myself reviewing this again however to say this Hotel is completely different would be an understatement the transformation is quite extraordinary the hotel is hardly recognisable from the old ‘Tanit’.
Check in was swift and efficient although the room wasn’t ready we were able to use a private shower room to change and freshen up.
Room 1410 was really nice and well equipped with fridge, safe etc although an iron would have been a nice addition.
The room was cleaned well daily providing we put on the light to request a clean, we forgot to do this on one occasion and as a result the room was not cleaned. The air con was quiet even on the highest setting but not that efficient,the room never really felt cool like it should have been, this never bothered us that much but it could be a problem for some if they like the room really cool, reading earlier reviews this seems to be a common problem so they really do need to sort it out.
There are three restaurants with good quality 4 star food but we wouldn’t say 5 star, also each of the two non buffet restaurants only had a small menu so choice is limited. Now we get to the one main gripe and that was the service, on many occasions we ordered drinks whether at breakfast or by the pool and they either took a very long time or just never turned up, they really need to get on top of this as it was the most common issue amongst the hotel guests we really hope this is just teething problems and as the season progresses the service improves.
The pool area is by far this hotels greatest feature it’s lovely, spotlessly clean and the water is the perfect temperature, pool towels provided daily, lovely quiet chilled Balearic vibe in the mornings with a more upbeat vibe in the afternoon with DJ music, we met some lovely people whilst there and that made our holiday very special.
All in all we had a great time the hotel still has to iron out a few things to be able to call itself a five star but it’s a good four star in our opinion. We love the area and will definitely return possibly again in September, thank you to all the staff who were all very polite and friendly throughout our stay.

This is the most beautiful hotel. We were made to feel so welcome by all staff and felt able to completely relax. We enjoyed all the restaurants but Helios was by far our favourite for it’s setting, it’s wonderful team of waiting staff and it’s amazing food. Our junior suite overlooking the pool and the bay was one of the most fabulous rooms we have ever stayed in. The rooftop bar in the evenings was a lovely environment to sit and enjoy live music, the DJ and the most spectacular sunsets. The walk into Sant Antoni is lovely- an easy 25 minute stroll, and walking the other way brings you to two beautiful beaches, perfect for swimming in the sea.
We paid quite a large supplement to upgrade to signature level and were over the moon with our beautiful room, however found that many of the advertised signature benefits (premium drinks, roof top bar, reserved Bali beds) were also on offer to all guests. We would definitely suggest going for a pool or sea facing room but it’s probably not worth the upgrade cost for signature.

Firstly, let me say that my wife and I, thoroughly enjoyed our stay and many of the aspects of the hotel were exceptional. I feel slightly bad only giving the hotel 3 stars, however, this is a new hotel and there are some infrastructure and management issues which need to be addressed, in order for it to be worth the £500+ per night price tag.

First, the room we stayed in (deluxe sea view) had a number of issues. The main issue was that the seals around the shower were not fitted correctly. This meant that the room flooded each time we took a shower. This was reported to reception on the first day, however we saw no effort to correct this during our stay. In addition to this, the light switches did not work on one side of the bed, the air con stopped going below 18 degrees C for the second half our stay and early in the morning (pre 7.30ish) the shower wouldn't get warm.

My second issue was with the IO bar. So the IO bar services the two smaller pools (which we preferred) and is great when its open, however it doesn't open until 12.30. This would be fine if staff would let you order a drink from the other bar (Gaia), however the bar only provides at sun bed service to people around the main pool and will not serve you if you just go up to the bar. This leaves guests in a position where they can either cram around the main pool in a morning but have a drink, or go to the smaller pools and stay thirsty until the IO bar opens.

Finally, getting a table at the à la carte restaurants is a hassle (we got there on the Monday and were not able to book in until the Friday and Saturday). This would be fine if the restaurants were busy when you got there. We went to Helios around 7pm and were there for 2 hours. Whilst there, there were only 4 other tables occupied (inside and outside) and the restaurant was largely empty. The biggest shame with this is that both à la carte restaurants were brilliant and the hotel should be showing these off, not under booking them!

As mentioned, I feel abit guilty about the rating because a lot of the elements of the hotel are fantastic and we did have a great time! The hotel is perfectly located and has phenomenal views and even better sunsets. The bars, restaurants and staff are great (go to gravity, its worth the extra cost). The adjoining beach was lovely with a crystal clear, warm sea. So please don't be deterred by this review, this will be a fantastic hotel as long as management sort out the teething problems.

Had a wonderful stay in a junior suite with terrace. The room exceeded our expectations! The terrace area & hot tub were fantastic. We spent most afternoons there. The hotel is a perfect location to watch the sunrise & sunset. A very chilled & friendly environment. The staff work incredibly hard to ensure your stay is the best. the concierge service were very much appreciated, arranging for a number of things during our stay.

As an all inclusive we throughly enjoyed each restaurant, with great variety & quality of food. Hard to say what was our favourite but Helios was outstanding both in terms of quality of food & service. thank you Hector. Gaucho was lovely too…Thank you to Carlos.

A great selection of wine & cocktails, it is a shame the sky bar closes before 12, making the lobby bar extremely busy though.

It was my husbands birthday whilst there…the staff in Carpicho gave a lovely surprise gesture of a morning surprise with fizz & singing their hearts out, then another in the sky bar. Thank you very much Tara, Chari, Jennifer & your team., Also Alba from concierge.

Sky bar & pool area are stunning! So relaxing & the views spectacular.

Overall this is a fabulous hotel, we did have a few teething issues with housekeeping & our room not being cleaned on a few occasions but this was resolved after discussing with the manager.

I understand this is the hotels first year in operation & they are very working hard to give the 5 star experience, you are definitely nearly there. The only points I would raise is the cleaning of the rooms daily & consistency with refilling of the mini bar which was a little sporadic, also we throughly enjoyed the food & selection in Carpicho, but there was times with the food being cold.

Even with a few small issues, we had an amazing stay, it was very hard to leave…we have already booked the same room type for next year , adding a few extra days. That is how good our time at TRS was. Looking forward to returning in 2023!

As mentioned the majority of the staff are a credit to the hotel & we hope they will be there next year. So a very special mention to Tara, Chari, Fernando, Bau, Jennifer, Alba, Marta, Hector, Carlos, Ismael, Daniel…you were all top class & very much enjoyed our chats😎. There were other staff in Helios that were amazing but unfortunately did not get their names.

We stayed for 5 nights in September. We booked a superior deluxe room. Our room was on the second floor and we were lucky to have an amazing view over the pool and the sea.

The check in was friendly, we were given a welcome drink, offered a room to change in and could use all the hotel facilities until our room was ready.

The room itself was beautifully done, not massive but spacious enough with everything we needed. The mini fridge was replenished every 3 days.

The food at this hotel is really good. We ate mainly in the main buffet as we had a lot of events, plans with friends staying in other hotels and it suited us to be able to just eat as and when without having to book. This is no ordinary buffet though, the food is plated, well presented and very fresh.

The drinks are also excellent. Service around the pool is hit or miss but I have no problems just going to the bar to grab a drink.

All the staff were super friendly and helpful. We had messages from the butlers just to check In and see if we needed anything which was lovely.

Sunbeds were plentiful at all pools no matter what time of day we emerged, we split our time between the main pool which was more lively and the IO pool which was very relaxed.

The rooftop pool and bar area is gorgeous and the perfect place for a sunset drink.

Overall a fabulous stay and we will be back!
