We traveled to Israel/Palestine for a friend's wedding. Stayed 10 nights at the Casa Nova, a beautiful boutique hotel on the hillside overlooking the Old Harbor and the Mediterranean. The building is a refurbished historic hostel for pilgrims who sailed to Jaffa to reach Jerusalem. The rooms are beautiful, thoughtfully restored but clearly keeping the lines of an ancient hostel. We stayed in the Pasha room, with beautiful window views of the ocean, a large bathroom/shower/jacuzzi suite, excellent climate control. We often bought groceries and had dinner on the deck overlooking the water and a sweeping view of Tel Aviv coast. The comfortable breakfast room had a bottomless cappuccino machine, fresh fruit and biscuits. The location is super-close to miles of beaches and some of the best dining (don't miss "The Old Man and the Sea" on the waterfront).

Most important, though, is the proprietor, Guy Katzeff, and his friendly crew. They saw to our every need, and I do mean every. On day 2 I left my eyeglasses in a cab, but had the receipt with the cab license. Guy took the receipt, called a guy, who knew a guy, who knew another guy who figured out the phone number of the cab driver, who lived in Netanya. The next day Guy happily returned my glasses to me! I felt like I'd won an $800 lottery ticket. He also saw to it that our laundry was washed halfway through the trip, and wouldn't charge us anything for the service. He's warm, friendly, and his custodians were just the same.

Hotel by the sea overlooking the harbor.
very close to the beach and Jafa market
Amazing sunset a common space for all guests
The place is tidy with comfortable sofas and tables.
The hotel was built in old houses with walls one meter thick, windows facing the sea or the city.
We take a suite with a large Jacuzzi.
the suite has very huge space.
the entering to the hotel and to your room is with code that you get.
the code is unique to every guest and it open your room and the entrance to the main gate.
The furniture is amazing and authentic.
Excellent lighting and electricity everywhere, not trivial in all hotels.
A shared kitchenette for all guests with an excellent coffee machine and a device for cold water and ice
Guy’s lovely service made our vacation one of the most amazing we have experienced.

My husband and I stayed here last September 2019, and it was by far one of the most memerorable places we ever stayed. The historical signficance of it's location in Jaffa gives Casa Nova a very authentic feeling, and their abiity to combine the decor to preserve the old with more modern decorative accents was very impressive! We felt very safe there. The amenities were fanstastic, we very much enjoyed the jacuzzi! The place was clean, staff were so kind and personable, and we felt very much at home. I must add, their complimentary cappuccino was by far the best I have ever had. You will not be disappointed here!

What a great location for this beautiful intimate hotel
The room was decorated beautifully with a free standing tub, dark green tiles and was very spacious and had high ceiling with arches.
The hotel has a large deck area that has a magnificent view of the ocean.
It also has a nice room with espresso machine, tea , cookies and fruits.
Guy made sure we know all the details and Fadi was so nice and made us feel at home.
Highly recommended!!!

Casa Nova was the perfect stay for me and my true love. (Romantic as Tel Aviv can be…. :)

the location is ideal for walking and meditating by the oldest still operational sea port in the world.

both the christian church and mosque sounds out periodically as reminder of the history and depth of soul this old jaffa/jaffo offers all casa nova visitors.

the old jaffa port or the back alleys bars open until 0400 or the ancient market by day offer endless experiences always deep and fun.

one can literally walk north or south from the hotel along the ocean for 4 miles…

This little known hotel with just five rooms is absolutely magnificent. Often the photos online of hotels are exaggerated; with Casa Nova if anything, in real life, the place is even more spectacular. Everything about my two weeks stay was amazing. Guy, the owner could not have been more attentive and helpful in every way from making sure the room was in perfect condition, sparkling, clean every morning, to travel advice and the feeling that everything was brand new in this classically maintained former home in the unique ancient city of Jaffa. Yet every touch was perfect while maintaining the authenticity of the original home. The view from the communal balcony is immediately over the Mediterranean sea with an unrivaled view of the sea, and the old Jaffa port. In the other direction is the stunning beach view of Tel Aviv, which is a few minutes walk from the cobblestone streets of old Jaffa. The neighborhood itself is unique with its out of the way antique and one of a kind shops, and also with a very wide range of cuisines from a delicious dinner that might cost less than $10 to an elegant dinner costing far more. My only regret in writing this review is that it will no longer be such a well kept secret. The photos online reflect the beauty of the rooms and view, but don’t give a taste of the comfort that Guy and his staff have created here. I wish I can give it a score higher than perfect since I have not stayed in a hotel anywhere in the world this wonderful.

Casa Nova is located in the quietest part of old Jaffa, in front of the sea. I slept so well here because there are no streets around it, therefore there are no noises from cars or motorbikes. Our suite was large, comfortable and clean, with cool breezes from the sea. The hotel has a spacious outdoor deck overlooking the sea, with Jaffa port to the left. This is a wonderful place to sit and read, and watch the sunset. Guy, the manager, met us on our arrival. Throughout our stay, he responded quickly to our needs. I like the location because it is quiet but still within walking distance to many cafes and restaurants.

Casa Nova is a unique boutique hotel. The common rooms are welcoming and include a lovely dining area with all the choices of coffees and teas one could want with both to-go cups and lovely china for a more up scale feel. And there was a tasty biscuit assortment to go with your drink. A cozy living room/entrance area with fresh fruit and chocolates also gave a warm welcoming feel. Take your beverage out to the amazing deck that is furnished so comfortably and over looks the sea while also providing incredible views of Tel Aviv and Yafo port. The room I stayed in was beautiful, comfortable, and had a luxurious feel. Very comfortable bed and bedding and a wonderful soaking tub. And Guy was more than helpful with all aspects of the stay, from meeting me at the main street to help with luggage, to recommending great restaurant choices and making arrangements to get to the airport with the friendliest of drivers. All around, this was a dream place to stay. I hope to be back soon and would recommend Casa Nova to couples, singles, and family traveling with older children. A++

An absolute gem. Found based on a personal recommendation. Casa Nova was the perfect location and beautifully appointed.

We had room 3 with the balcony overlooking the deck and the sea.

The bed was firm and super comfortable. A nice bathroom and shower. A small lounge area with a desk and sofa as well as a fridge.

We loved all the little touches including the tea and coffee as well as the sweets etc. It was great to be able to have a nice glass for our wine at sunset etc.

The key thing that makes this even more special is Guy. Nothing was too much trouble. He was so kind and always willing to help. He really made our visit to Tel Aviv.

We know that it’s not easy to be a host and deal with the myriad of questions and requests and guy made you feel that you were his top priority and his only guests.

We would both highly recommend Casa Nova as a wonderful base to stay to explore Tel Aviv.

We spent one week at Casa Nova in October 2022 and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is overlooking the sea and has a large sundeck to take a coffee (or more) before visiting the city. Our room was extremely confortable and Guy who deals with the customers is extremely welcoming and available. We will be back !

No idea why Trip Advisor would say this, and there is no parking to speak of around the hotel. It's down a little alley that is pedestrian-only; there's some parking (and I'm not sure if it's free, as I didn't get a car until I left Yafo) about half a block up the hill. That said, this is an absolutely charming place. The hosts, who own it and built it from an abandoned monastery, are welcoming, helpful, and warm. While there's no breakfast provided, there's a common room with tea, coffee, and snacks that is always stocked. The view onto the Mediterranean is gorgeous. Each room, named for a different constellation, is unique. Easy walk to Yafo port, Shuk Hapishpishim, Clock Tower Square, and the walkway into the Tel Aviv hotel area. I suggest not driving in and around Tel Aviv (or Jerusalem) anyhow; use Gett, the local version of Uber/Lyft. Israeli drivers are scary (and I've been in the country 12 times, so this is not the naive tourist talking).

There is paid parking at the street, about one to two blocks away. I don't believe there is indoor parking nearby. The street parking is a fixed one time price per entrance to the neighborhood.
