So much attention to detail at this beautiful chalet hotel.
The owners are such lovely people, as are all the staff at the hotel. Service was easily a high 10/10.

Myself and my Italian boyfriend stayed in the Vitae room, one of the newly renovated rooms at the front of the hotel with the glass balcony and egg chair. The room was even better than we were expecting! Very modern and inviting decor, great bathroom and very large shower. We were pleasantly surprised to find a free standing bath tub in the room as well! The bed was super comfortable and had a really nice mattress topper on it.
We did struggle to keep the air conditioning on throughout the night, however this wasn’t a huge issue for us.

The outdoor infinity pool is the highlight of this place, very warm and provides the most perfect views of the mountains. We wish we had booked the floating breakfast experience in the pool but unfortunately it was booked up 3 months in advance!
The spa is nice, but the indoor pool and outdoor hot tub could be a little warmer as the water was quite cool.
There are two saunas here and a steam room. The larger of the two saunas being outside by the hot tub and heated pool. I loved the outdoor sauna, it reminded me of the German Christmas markets! There is also an ice bucket shower experience just outside of the sauna which is great as it does get very hot!

We had breakfast and dinner included during our two night stay, the breakfast offered everything you could possibly think of! Due to new covid regulations the breakfast was table service rather than buffet style but you could order as many times as you like and the staff are all extremely polite and provided excellent customer service. The hotel menus are in Italian and the main languages spoken are Italian and German. Having said that the staff all made a real effort to speak to me in English and even printed me paper menus in English. I really appreciated that, thank you!
Dinner was also beautifully presented with the option of 5 courses.

The hotel also has their own chickens and geese and 2 pet lamas which live on site! There was the options of booking experiences or even breakfast with the lamas but we just visited them at their pens instead.

We visited in September which meant we caught the end of the summer sun and the start of a couple of rain showers. With it not being ski season we found there wasn’t much to do here but as we had hired a car we drove to Sozzine Park which is about 20 minutes away from the hotel. There is also a great restaurant at the park if you fancy a change of scenery.

Overall I absolutely adored our stay at Chalet Al Foss. I would recommend the vitae room and half board as that made it for us.
Thank you to everybody at Chalet Al Foss for making our stay so memorable and perfect!!
I would love to come back in ski season!!

This place is absolutely incredible. The views are spectacular and the hotel is just amazing. Everything here is so well thought out, right down to the last little details. We booked the most basic room and it looked so much better in person than on the hotel's website - which doesn't often happen! It was clean and just what we needed. The spa facilities were incredible and views breathtaking. We booked breakfast with alpacas, which was amazing. The staff took us there and then left us to enjoy breakfast. Nothing was too much for the staff. They were so attentive and we cannot thank them enough. Our flight was delayed, followed by a nightmare picking up the rental car and the staff stayed up past reception opening hours to welcome us! We also had to leave early and they arranged for a takeaway breakfast to be prepared - absolutely amazing. Finally, as we went in winter, we mainly stayed in the hotel for food and drinks and honestly, we were surprised at how reasonably priced it was as they could have easily charged much more! Overall, an excellent experience and would 100% recommend it.

We are here currently on our last night here. We are touring Italy for our honeymoon and have stayed here for the past 4 nights. What can I say, the start of our honeymoon couldn’t have been more amazing.

First off, on the day of our arrival Giada messaged to ask an approx time of arrival so that they could either book us a table at their restaurant or prepare a cold dinner. We were arriving late as driving from Venice to the hotel so this was not necessary, yet, very considerate of the hotel.

Upon arrival, we were simply stunned by the hotel. It really is spectacular if arriving at night as the place is classily lit up with lovely background music. We were greeted by Giada at reception who sat us down and offered a glass of champagne to welcome us. After a 4 hour drive that’s exactly what you need! She was kind enough to show us around the hotel so we knew where everything was and of course show us to our room where our suitcases were waiting.

The next morning my wife and I could not believe the view out of our hotel room. As we arrived in darkness, we didn’t see this view upon arrival. Absolutely stunning.

We had breakfast included in our stay and it’s an off the menu style breakfast. My wife has a wheat allergy and eats only Gluten Free and the hotel was very accommodating in this respect too.

This is an ideal stay for couples and love that the hotel is dog friendly too. We haven’t got dogs but loved seeing other peoples fur babies :)

Location wise it’s brilliant. Plenty of local towns for hotel room snacks, restaurants and general natural beauty spots.

You definitely need a car! Just be careful around the mountain roads. It can get a little dicey and don’t get too distracted by the views. Plenty of places to safely pull over and get those Insta-snaps.

Oh another handy point is the hotel operate their customer service via WhatsApp so very handy for any questions you have!

We came to this hotel for one night to relax on our way to Milan after an outstanding experience in Garda and the Dolomites.
Unfurtunately, our stay was not at all relaxing. First, as we arrived loud music greeted us, not like the atmosphere for nice and relaxing stay in the mountains, more like a night club.
The room was very clean but too narrow so there wasn’t room for our luggages.
The walls and the windows were super thin so we heard the Dj playing until 10 pm.
Sauna was bad and did not feel hot enough. The hot tubs were nice but the music disturbed our peaceful time in front of the view.
For dinner we chose to not eat at the hotel’s restaurants because they are so overpriced!
We were promised that there in central AC system, but unfortunately it didn’t work and when we called the reception to help us with it they just turned the ventilation on but then off again (after half an hour) for the whole night so we woke up hot at 5am with no air in the room.
Breakfast was pretty poor and every dish took forever to arrive.
When we checked out and talked about the AC problem, we got a disrespectful answer and left with a VERY bad taste.
We’ll not be back neither recommend it to our friends (too bad, because the potential is outstanding).

Chalet al Foss: What an excelent marketing can do!
Nothing like I saw on their social channels, a unique location with exclusive experiences.
High fives for their marketing team!👌
We payed for 2 nights, after the first night(even though once we were there we knew this would happen in the end)we left!
The so called “exclusive” experiences are the worst I have ever encountered.
Here are some “instagramable” romantic and exclusive views (I hope they ll be accepted and not taken out from this review)from when having a “private breakfast/lunch”experience( for which you pay extra, of course)/romantic weekend.😂🫣

LE:Unfortunately I wasn’t able to download the photos that were really worth sharing(I wonder why?)

It s a 2/3 wanna be a 4/5 star accomodation with a 2 star staff(front office/managment)
All their services are middle range as well as their location and attitude towards their customers who knows the differences between 3, 4, 5 star services.
Noise during the day, the music played at maximum volume throughout the day, making it practically impossible to relax.
Instead of enjoying(as much as the position could have offered due to their location), the peace of the nature, you either heard the music(and not even a relaxing one) that was at high volume or a truck passing by, or a car, because the location is exactly on the national road.
To end this “bad joke” journey called “Chalet al foss” I ll give a 4 out of 5 for some(not to all) of their staff( from bar/restaurant).

Stunning views and setting. We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and attentive. All facilities and deco were lovely. We found the food to be exceptional and worth the extra money. Lots of complimentary extras such as little desserts and offered champagne a few times throughout our stay.

Our only observation would be that we found the loud music and staff dancing a little too much and not in keeping with the upmarket experience.Perhaps turn it down a notch and play more chilled music.

All in all a wonderful experience, thank you.

Wow what an amazing hotel! Deserves a 5 star rating! The staff is so nice and accommodating. Every place you are at has mountains views that take your breath away! Multiple pools/tubs around the spa area to sit and relax as ample seating areas inside and outside of the hotel. Great bar service around the spa. Splurge and get the floating breakfast- it’s an amazing experience and you won’t be disappointed! Such an amazing stay all around. Comfortable rooms with plenty of space and includes outdoor space!

For this to be a 4 star hotel I believe some of the staff needs some additional training. Only about 3 staff members were extremely helpful, genuine and pleasant. Two ladies with short grey hair and a young man with glasses and curly hair who wears a hat from Naples. The rest were just bland and not helpful at all and it seemed like they did not love their job. For the type of money people spend here, the client should be worshipped. If you don’t agree then you shouldn’t consider yourself a high star hotel. I believe that the staff even treated each other badly infront of customers. The food was not impressive at all. I did not eat dinner my second night there because the food was overpriced and not worth it. I had lasagna and filet both were not amazing. Overall the hotel, rooms and views are stunning, but that’s about it.

Nice hotel, however the photos that they post on instagram are very misleading. Hotel is located on a busy main road so gets quite noisy. Not quite the perfect mountain retreat for the price. Prices of this place have been inflated so much given their huge instagram following and phenomenal photos!

Me and my wife have just returned from a 4 night stay at this hotel. Before we went I’d read reviews and watched videos, we arrived around 9pm and we were blown away. The lights and the reception area were so nice. All the staff were great throughout our stay and food and drinks were amazing. I’d definitely recommend staying here everything about it was perfect. Thank you Al Foss!
