My husband and decided to stay at this resort in Juan Dolio Dominican Republic our first stay was September/2012 and we vowed then not to ever return. We were nervous going back this time but we were informed there had been some upgrades and it was recently opening back up from Pandemic and renovations. Some improvements have been done to the lobby area. The most shocking was the room there was a big difference from our first visit in 2012. The room was newly renovated a Tu ally they put us in the premium with two bathrooms and a living room. It was clean and the young lady that cleaned our room during our stay was the best. We always came back to a freshly cleaned room, towels and it smelled so good. The other room cleaners were not as great at their jobs. So I would always leave her a tip. The beach is my favorite part of vacationing and this time around it was not crowded we had days where it was just the two of us. The sellers on the beach can be a bit annoying after you buy from them their prices are getting higher and they tend to want to flock around you once you spend money with them. Other than that I enjoyed the water immensely. The pool was clean only one pool was re-opened at the time we were there but it was clean and frequented a lot by other guess and their children. Best part of the pool was the pool bar and a few particular staff members who interacted and made you feel very comfortable. They had a variety of foods in buffet style restaurant. The hibachi was ok I have stated better but it was fun. There is another restaurant on the premises but we were not too impressed by their menus. The whole reservation process is a fiasco that was actually better in 2012 not as much of a hassle as it was this time around.. we would get to the restaurant and they could not find our reservation. We had to complain to be able to get in. Very disorganized. Also in the buffet restaurant they still have stray cats going into the eating area where guess sit and eat. Some guess would feed the cats so they stay close by And management allows this. Be careful with the hamburgers at the grill area hubby did get sick from it and I believe another guess did as well. Overall even with the few annoying things we experienced during our stay it was definitely an improvement from 2012 when our stay was so horrible that pigeons were coming through our broken room windows. Back then it had such poor management that they just didn’t care. These new owners are doing better. There is room for improvement in the rooms as we did experience water leak in one of the bathroom from the unit above us. The glass showers doors need to be sealed at the bottom so that the water doesn’t come out when you take a shower. Otherwise your stepping out into a puddle in the bathrooms another annoying thing.

We stayed here for 14 days, the last week of February and first week of March and left here very impressed! The price was the vacation through Red Tag Vacations and Sunwing was reasonable and met our budget needs. The flight down and back was seamless and uneventful.
It seemed to us that this resort is very well run in all aspects. The buildings, grounds, pools, the beach and our rooms are all very well maintained and clean, in fact our ocean view room was really decent and had recently been renovated. We never saw a bug of any type or anyone who had been bitten during our stay. The view from our room was amazing!
One thing we really appreciated here was just not being overrun with people as you often experience at other resorts. No lineups at the buffet stations and not having to play the early morning towel game to get a primo spot around the pool or on the beach is very refreshing. Lots of room for everyone.
Whether you frequented the a la carte restaurants or the food was excellent, delicious and varied. In our 14 days there we never found the buffet to be repetitious. There was always some new foods you hadn’t tried yet.
The resort is situated on a beautiful section of Juan Dolio beach and this fine white sand/ warm clear turquoise water beach is hard to beat. It really is like the pictures. I always enjoyed going for a 5 km barefoot walk on the beach every morning. Super relaxing, sometimes you would only encounter a dozen people or less along the way.
Whether you encounter Elvis at the bar, Victoria, Jose and the crew at the buffet, or Carlos at the a la carte restaurant, Cesar with the entertainment crew or any member of the whole staff right down to the gardeners and maids, the staff are very friendly, accommodating and will make you feel like family.
In conclusion, I would like to say we have been to many resorts and many countries and my rule has always been to never go to the same place twice. We will be making the exception in this case, as we are looking forward to returning!

We are using this hotel as a base for a service trip and booked on Amex. Some of the amenities that are listed on the Amex travel site do not exist, likely due to pandemic impacts. However, this is a nice hotel and the beach is beautiful. Don’t forget toiletries, sunscreen, etc., because there is no store here and no place to buy a sweatshirt on property. Nights are very cool in Feb. This hotel once had many restaurants but now only two, the Grill and TexMex. Guests have to wait in a 9 am line that starts at 7:30 to get reservations at these two eateries, otherwise it is a so-so dinner buffet. I have no idea if these on property restaurants cost more or are included! Staff are very kind and helpful but English is limited. They love to practice English and help with a guest’s Spanish. Unfortunately, due to the heavy partying at night, there are altercations in the courtyard at odd hours so go the extra mile and get ocean view, 4th floor as another reviewer suggested. It makes sense now that I am here. This hotel is almost fully updated but has a little ways to go, but overall an excellent value and an amazing beach. If you need extra towels or bottled waters, ask the staff (and tip) as it won’t come automatically. There is a well stocked pharmacy down the road at Hodelpa Garden Suites and a nice little restaurant with good pizza that is a 10 minute walk on the main highway with a sidewalk. Go left after hotel entrance. Food and amenities are important to me so once I figured out, es bueno!

I’ve travelled many times to 3* 4* and 5* resorts all over and I must say this was the worst service we have received. I think I only seen one or two smiles the entire week we were there. Checking in took forever and there was no line up we arrived at about 10:00 pm (delayed flight) the drive to the resort was about 1.5 hours … this is on us when booking and not related to the hotel so please keep that in mind when booking. The beach is nice with plenty of room and loungers. However, you will be constantly bugged all day by beach vendors … the same person will approach you many times through the day. There is really only one bar and it’s the pool bar so if you’re on the beach you need to go to the pool bar for a drink. The service at the pool bar is good again only one of the smiles I seen all week. Keep in mind that day passss are sold to locals for the weekend and that means longer waits for drinks and snacks … the snack bar only has 3 options fries, hotdog and hamburger and pizza . The buffet is always cold you will not get hot food even if you’re the first one there and there are not many options. You will also jot find any bacon if you are looking for some … the rooms are big. The shower leaks into the hall if you don’t wet yourself, close the water, soap up and then rinse .. our last two days left us sick in bed … a group of four … we all ate different things so we couldn’t say what it may have been … I’ve always heard good things about Dominican food but my honest opinion is that it’s not that great … I would rate it similar to Cuba but the Cuban people are much friendlier… overall I would not come
Back to this resort. Maybe I’ll give Dominican another try later but not here There is not much to do here and the staff seem miserable… save your money and go elsewhere… I really hate writing a unfavourable review…. But I had to do it … I read the reviews before leaving and feel Like I must of been taken to a different resort

All staff at this resort are extremely friendly and are more than happy to assist and provide the best possible vacation possible.

The food good, you have a wide variety daily, you’ll never go without and it’s available for the majority of the day and night throughout the resort.
If you are picky or a foodie, skip this resort.

The rooms are upgraded and extremely clean as is the entire resort for that matter. This is most likely one of the cleanest resorts we’ve been to.

Water pressure will rip the skin off your body and there is always hot water.

Fridges are stocked with Coke products and water but no beer.

The beach is fantastic and you can walk either way for hours without a problem or concern.
You cannot venture out too far in the water as there is seaweed but there is more than enough beachfront for everyone.

A la carte restaurants are booked at 7:00 am (arrive earlier) every morning but for only ONE restaurant only.
So if you wish to eat at a location other than the buffet or afternoon BBQ area, wake up early.

Like many resorts, seats are held by towels draped over them. If you arrive by 8:30 you’re pushing your luck and they are taken shortly thereafter.

If you have an issue with 2nd hand smoke, this is not the resort for you.
During our stay, the entirety of Quebec attended and smoked, EVERWHERE!
Add in a few more people from other smoking countries and you basically breathe 2nd hand smoke your entire vacation.
As with most smokers, they couldn’t care less where they smoked and who they were around.
If you are dying from cancer and/or have small children, this is not the resort for you.

The staff at CCC was excellent! Jose in the dining room made my family and friends feel like his own family! Juan and Kelvin in the poolside bar were very friendly and very attentive to make us feel welcomed! Manny, the concierge was very helpful in getting information for us. If you want to scuba dive, go over to the huts just east of the big pool and talk to Analdo or Hector of Mar Y Tierra Scuba Diving. They will give you a refresher course and then take you on some great dives in Bayahibe, $160 per diver for the refresher course and two dives! Our family was there the week after(4/15-4/23 2022) the reopening of CCC. At $132/night for ocean view rooms and all inclusive resort, you can’t beat it! The rooms were very nice and clean. The food at buffet was OK, but plenty of choices. We had a birthday dinner in the pasta club and the service and food was excellent. You have to make a reservation. The private beach was beautiful. Three of us played golf at Oceans Four, a PGA golf course about 30 minutes from the resort. Our family flew into the Santo Domingo airport, rented a SUV, and drove 20 minutes to the resort. Our family would definitely go back to CCC and be treated with friendliness by the wonderful staff.

I had a great time.
Room 10/10 AC worked great. Beds comfy. Nice bathroom.
Pools 10/10 refreshing
Beach at resort 10/10 plenty of lawn chairs lots of shade available
Sea 10/10 gorgeous
Staff 10/10 working hard night and day. Was very impressed at the management of the property.

Buffet 8/10 it was delicious but limited in selection on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Food quality improved as the resort got busier. I noticed a lack of spices and hot sauces. Despite this, those who aren't picky can do well at the buffet. Seafood was non existent and fruit options were limited. Lobster could be procured at $45USD.

Drinks 3/10 all "Classico" brand house bottles and I was not a fan. Absolutely no name brand bottles if you aren't paying extra. Presidente beer on tap was free but a bottle will cost you. I ended up bying my own booze at a local corner store in town. The coffee machines at the bars were quite good. And all the bartenders were excellent at their jobs.

Front deck was very helpful with all of my requests during the week. (Extra towels, extra drinking water, some extra blankets) Check in was quick and painless.

Overall a great week spent in a paradise setting.

We had a great week at this hotel. The staff and service everywhere at the hotel was excellent and very friendly. A special shoutout to Juliana who served us many delicious coffees every morning at the outdoor bar. Jose in the buffet restaurant (back section) made us always feel like VIPs and was very attentive and provided great service. Caren and the rest of the staff at the a la carte restaurant made each dinner special and service was always top notch from the entire staff there. The beach was fantastic, the water was calm and clear and there was no seaweed. We could see the sunrise from our room in the morning and every day there was a spectacular sunset you could watch from the beach. The highlight of our trip was the New Year's Eve celebration. It was an amazing show and party. There was live entertainment all night (saxophonist during dinner, DJ, live band and dancers. The beach was transformed into a giant dinner and dance party with tables on the beach and special lighting, dance floor and a stage.A few notes that the management should consider are limiting the amount of people selling articles at the beach as it is non-stop all day every day. If you respectfully say no thank you, then they move on but shortly after another vendor will show up. The brochure says that there are 3 a la carte restaurants and in reality there is one with a menu that changes every day. Every a la carte meal was excellent but the reservation system needed some tweaking as you had to line up before 7am and all 3 seatings were full by 7:20am. The buffet had limited options for food but we always managed to find something we liked. The bathroom by the beach/pool needed more frequent cleaning but the other bathroom near the lobby was always clean. It is clear that the hotel is in a state of transformation and renovation. The tennis courts have yet to be resurfaced and the staff is diligently working to improve the hotel offering. All and all we would recommend this resort if you want to enjoy a great beach and great service from a staff that goes out of their way to make you feel welcome and taken care of.

This resort is very far from the Punta Cana airport, we knew this when we booked but Sunwing didn't fly into Santa Domingo at this time so we endured the 1h45 trip to the resort !

This is definitely a locals spot for weekend get aways or hangouts, we found there was a big divide between the tourists and the locals. The staff barley speak English and seem to cater to the locals much more but once the locals left it was much better, but still hard to communicate.
The evening entertainment is probably the worst I’ve seen….since they don’t speak English we couldn’t understand but from what we saw and heard it just felt like they were screaming into the microphone in Spanish. No theme nights or dancing.

Nelly the bartender at the Sports Bar is a lovely lady she was our favourite and made us feel super welcome. Not saying all the staff are rude of course but we did feel overlooked by some.

The food in my opinion was great ! We are not picky and always found plenty to eat. The snack bar has tasty burgers and pizza so this is a good fallback.
The A La Carte restaurant were a little hit or miss. You have to be smart with what you order as you know it won't be the same as back home. From the Tex Mex night I would recommend the Chimichanga as an app and the Fajita as your main, The Quesadilla is just cheese so maybe good for kids and the San Fransisco was like a shrimp egg salad.

The Mediterranean night was good ! They had just opened this while we were there so we got to try it the first night open. I had the beef risotto which was nice.
They use the same restaurant location but switch the menu but the restaurant is really cute.

The rooms were nice and new ! We had a room with a King bed, with only 1 pillow each I definitely needed a second one but never asked. The bed has a sheet and a very very thin "blanket" over top so once again I would have liked something thicker but we didn't bother to ask the front desk for anything so this is something that could have been fixed. I did find it super noisy though !! I am a light sleeper but I was constantly woken up by banging or screaming and our room was close to the highway in the New Building so the cars and sirens were loud too.

They are doing a full renovation of the resort and they have done a really good job ! They do one bit at a time so you don't notice any construction but some things are not as advertised like the Casino is not running, the Mini Putt is extremely run down.

Over all I have no major complaints for this resort ! We had a really good time and enjoyed the food and drinks, the beach is lovely and the pool was nearly always empty. I would recommend coming here but only if you can avoid flying into PUJ and if you know Spanish !!

Upon our arrival we requested a crib for the baby. We were informed they did not have one at the moment and to come back the next day. I asked to talk to a Manager and they said they didn't have one, I had to come back the next day. We came back the next day and they said they still didn't have a crib. So they clearly just don't have enough (or any) cribs in that hotel. The poor baby cried so much at bedtime, it made us all miserable. The employees did not care at all...

Then A PERSON DROWNED in front of the hotel and they just quickly put him away and covered everything up. My brother and his daughter were snorkeling in that exact spot the previous day because that was the only clear spot from seaweed... If they were not waved over by locals who did not work for the hotel, they could have died too because the hotel had not put boundaries to prevent people from this area, and this was the most appealing area to go swim in.

The only sign was quite far from the spot, and unclear, where a reasonable person would not realize that people actually die here due to an underwater current. This hotel clearly doesn't value human life...

There was a three-inch long cockroach that was walking on the floor of the main restaurant.

There is only one special restaurant, and even though we had a reservation, we had to wait for 30 minutes to go in and eat.

Seemed okay to me., although to be honest I stayed mostly with beer and wine. I did see some top shelf stuff at the Lobby bar I think there was an extra charge for it.

There are several options for dining off the resort, some with walking distance and others reached by taxis. There are usually several taxis in the parking lot just across the street from the main lobby. Going west into the town of Juan Dolio (about 15 min walk) there are several small restaurants and bistros including Restaurante Playa del Sol, Ristorante El Sueño, Don Pedro, Don Pedro. Some are pizzeria’s and some rather upscale. Walking wast towards Emotions about 10 minutes, there are also a couple of snack bars and Nico’s Beach Lounge but it closes early. Past Emotions (hopefully the road construction is done) One comes to the newer built up area of condos and there are several restaurants of all types here both cafes and upscale.
