Small room but has everything you need. Bed was firm, good and comfortable. Soap was in dispensers and small bottles of shampoo & conditioner. Shower was hot with 2 shower roses to choose from but small cubicle. Towels were on the small side although this seems to be common in the hotels where we stayed in Israel. No bath. Coffee & tea with a nespresso pod machine, some halva & dates and 2 bottles of water on the 1st day but we had no problem drinking the tap water. Also has a small desk, tv, 2 small wardrobes & a bar fridge. Wifi good. Breakfast was included with our deal and was quite extensive & great which you could eat inside or out looking at the view. Free for guests there is coffee & tea in the lobby and at 4 pm there is cake and biscuits. Hotel is a block away from the beach & close to a lot of things. We walked everywhere. Would definitely recommend staying here.

I stayed here in early January 2020 and found it to be warm and welcoming, with plenty of considerate touches for travellers, great location and excellent breakfast.

I got a public bus from the railway station which was fine....once I worked out which direction I needed to go...not the buses departing from the stop just outside the station

Highly recommended!

Everybody from the staff was so helpful and friendly! The breakfast was delicious, varied and filling. Also, the snack in the afternoon, the free coffee, tea and water in the lobby gave this hotel a nice touch and made us feel cosy.
The view from the rooftop is great and the location of the hotel is very convenient - close to the beach, 2 minutes walk to the bus station, close to city center and pretty much everything interesting in the city.
The only thing that made me give it 4 stars was the room - a bit outdated and very small. But loved the Nespresso coffee machine in the room!
Bottom line, would definitely recommend this hotel! We loved it!

The Gilgan is conveniently located near Ben Yehuda and Allenby Streets in Tel Aviv. The staff is pleasant and helpful. The included Israeli breakfast buffet is generous and was better than some of the 5 star hotels we stayed in, There's also free coffee and tea in the lobby 24/7 and cookies and cake at 1600 daily. My only issue was the rooms are small even compared to Israeli standards. There isn't much storage space and no place to keep luggage. The shower also makes quite a mess in the bathroom. If you have a lot of bags (we had one carry on and one large case each) you may have to live out of them because there's not enough storage, drawers, or shelving in the closets to put things and no storage space anywhere, even under the bed, for the cases.

Hotel Gildgal was a perfect place for our stay of 10 days! I'm thankful for it's ideal location, 2 blocks from the beach and about 4 blocks to the U.S. Embassy. I had a view of the Mediterranean Sea from my hotel room. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and happy! The hotel was very clean and the lobby always had free coffee and tea available, including free desserts while they lasted! One favorite was the expansive and delicious complimentary breakfast on the sixth floor with beautiful views of the city and the Mediterranean Sea! I will definitely stay here again! Thank you Hotel Gilgal!!

The hotel offers a wide variety of options for breakfast (included in the bill), which is convenient whether you are on business or a private tour.

The room is a little small, although being enough for a single occupant. The room condition is generally OK although there is a water leak from the shower room to the toilet and washing area.

The staff are friendly and helpful.

We stayed here for 2 nights. I was actually surprised because this is a part of a tour package with Abrahim. The hotel is walking distance to the beach, perhaps 1 block , cross a street then the beach. The room is clean, neat, it has everything you needed for a vacation. Bed is comfortable, staff are nice and helpful. Parking is tough in Tel Aviv, we arrived with our rented car and they let us in/ park on the side of their building. If you have a car ask them about parking. They provided a buffet breakfast which is excellent starting at 0700. The place is quiet, 2 elevators , coffee in the lobby are available and some sort of a library which in my opinion is cool. I will check in here again if I will have a chance to visit IsrAel.

The Hotel Gilgal is a gem hidden on a side street, only a block from the beach. Hotel accommodations were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was overwhelmingly delicious! Variety and quality. I really appreciated the "mini bar" delivery of juices and drinks. Hot water and comfortable bed. What more?

The location of the hotel is perfect: nearby the beach. Breakfast is at the rooftop with a view on the city but not the amazing view the hotel metions. Breakfast itself is very good: fresh salads and the bread is super! The people at the reception are friendly and very helpful. The only problem with this hotel is the noise: especially in rooms at the street side: you hear everything what is happening outside: cats, people talking, cars etc.

Dear 718irmav, We are very happy to hear that you enjoyed your time at Gilgal and appreciate that you took the time to share your experience with us. Unfortunately, the noise in the area is beyond our control but we do have double glass windows that are designed to keep the city noise level down, keeping the windows tightly shut usually helps. The reception staff could also accommodate you with a more quiet room with the windows to the courtyard or shelter rooms if you make the request. We will certainly share your positive comments with our staff for encouragement and will be looking forward to welcoming you back to Gilgal in the future. Warm regards, Yelena Hotel Service representative

We were very impressed with this place!
The desk manager went out of his way to help us. He was friendly, very informative and even gave us a card for bus fare b/c they don't accept cash!
Also the breakfast was outstanding! We were amazed at all the selections and everything we tasted was excellent! Also the view was nice and I loved the outdoor opportunities to eat outside. Next time we're in Tel Aviv will def go back there. within walking distance of beach.
