Angel's Home is indeed what its name says! it offers a unique, relaxing atmosphere of homey cosiness, extremely kind staff will pamper you, you will enjoy the best view from the balcony and rooftop, overlooking the Bosphorus, Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia, in the company of seagulls. Breakfast is pure heaven, the best one among all the places I've ever stayed at, ladies working in the kitchen are especially kind, loving and helpful and amazing cooks! Breakfast is homemade with an excellent choice of vegetables, cheese, fruit, cakes, eggs in all possible ways, soups, beverages, cooked dishes, desserts... Snacks, water, tea and coffee are available in the lobby free of charge for the guests, and the same goes for the minibar. Beds are extremely comfortable, it feels like sleeping on the fluffy clouds, the rooms are clean, the bathroom is very spacious and equipped with slippers and toiletries. There's also a TV with Netflix :) for those planning to relax more in their rooms. Location is fantastic, it's in the heart of the Sultanahmet, the area with many significant landmarks like Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia, Topkapi Palace, Basilica Cistern, etc. which are all just a few minutes on foot away from the hotel, as well as the quay by the sea. Highly recommended and without a single objection!

Wanted somewhere in Sultan Hamet area to explore Istanbul and found this fabulous little quirky hotel. It's a 3* hotel but the staff are definitely 5*, so helpful and friendly any time of day or night as someone is always at the reception. The rooms come with kettle/cups and tea/coffee etc, there are snacks,pop and water in the fridge daily which is all complimentary. There is shower gel, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste,razor etc in shower room. The TV has Netflix, Spotify, YouTube etc. There is a comfortable seating area downstairs with free tea, coffee and cake all day and also a bar. The restaurant is right up on the roof and offers amazing panoramic views including the Blue Mosque, Hagi Sophia, Bosporus and across to Asia etc. The including breakfast was very good and had a good variety. Obviously being on the roof there are stairs to climb and for the older and less agile this may be a problem. I would definitely recommend this hotel and will happily return again. A big thank you to all the staff for making our stay a happy one.

I ended up at this hotel unexpected when my stay extended. I wish I had been here the whole time. The owner of this hotel has taken all his world and travel experience and thought of everything, it all shows in this hotel. Comfortable, clean linens and towels, complimentary toiletries, delicious home cooked food, lots of lounge space, complimentary minibar, coffee, tea and snacks all day, great views including incredible breakfast with sunrise over the Marmara and entrance to the Bosphorus. It's a great location and the owner and staff were really helpful and multilingual. It was a wonderful stay. Thank you Angel's Home Hotel!

Beware of hotel cancelling your booking in the hope of making more money on the room.
As the previous review to this one states, be careful of your booking.
I booked a week’s holiday to Istanbul at the start of January 2022. I chose this hotel as it looked wonderful from the glowing reviews and safe as a single female traveller.
I was due to stay from 22nd May for seven nights.
I got an email from Booking.com on Thursday evening at 7.15pm UK time asking to update my credit card as the hotel tried to take a payment and it had been declined.
I found this strange as it’s the same card I’ve been using for all my travels for last decade or so.
I had been whatsapping with the hotel before my stay, so messaged them and told them it had been updated and I’d double checked the number. This was one hour after the email, so well within the 24 hours allowed to do it.
8 minutes later, they cancelled my booking and then ignored me and wouldn’t tell me why they’d done it!
I contacted Booking.com who weren’t particularly helpful as they said the booking has been cancelled and there’s nothing they could do.
The room was still available but for 260 euros more!
They then phoned the hotel as a mediator and asked if they would honour the original price as my credit card was fine, but Angel’s Home refused. They said the price was now 260 euros more if I wanted to stay there.
The hotel didn’t reply to my messages until the next day when they said my transaction was ‘suspicious’.
I don’t know what suspicious about a seven night booking made 5 months in advance?
It’s clear they didn’t want to honour the booking as it was such a good price (for me) and would be able to sell the room for a higher one.
I’m disgusted they’ve done this as such short notice and I spent hours yesterday looking for a safe hotel for a similar budget.
I do not recommend Angel’s Home Hotel at all. Even when asked by booking.com to honour it, they refused.

I would recommend hotel, it is near all Istanbul attractions! Rooms are clean, breakfast is continental. Staff is amaizing very helpful! Mini bar in room is free, always full with sweets and sodas. Bottled water was in room every day. Linens were changed on day 4 and everyday room was cleaned. We got complementary spaghetti dinner from owner. We couldn’t ask for more! 10/10

We arrived just at the end of Ramadam to a hive of activity in Istanbul. Our hotel was located in quiet and beautiful part of the old city of Istanbul with the Blue mosque right behind us. Our host Hakan and his staff could not have been more friendly and accommodating. Our room was very comfortable with the most relaxing bed. A good sized bathroom with a powerful waterfall shower was pristine. We had a small and pretty balcony right outside our room looking on to a querky little sitting area in which we had a few drinks with Hakan chatting about the world and its problems. Breakfast on the roof overlooking the Bosphorus and the entrance to the golden horn could ot have been more relaxing and awe inspiring. Each member of staff would chat to us including our young friend from Kyrgystan who eventhough his English was not great (I cannot talk, my Kyrgys and Turkish is lousy) he would chat to my with the help of Google translate and we talked about this Silk Road fom his hometown. The breakfast ladies were very attentive and friendly too so thank you ladies for preparing a delicious breakfast for us each morning (lezzetli). The Angels home is situated just on the corner of the old town very near to the Blue mosque, the Hagia Sofia and Topkapi Palace and the restaurants surrounding it are amazing. If you decide to visit Istanbul I highly recommend the Angels home hotel, you will not be disappointed. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast is delicious and it's located so close to all the main attractions as mentioned earlier. Angel Home's Hotel is the place to be in Istanbul! Arriving there we already knew we had make a good choice: The entrance is super cute and colorful, with plenty of funny phrases written everywhere. People stop there to take pictures all the time! Room was comfortable and clean, and the breakfast was impeccable - delicious! Location is ideal, super close to the main mosques, to the tram and with plenty of restaurants/coffees around. If this was not enough, I still did not mention the best: They have an amazing terrace with a really nice view (recommend having a fresh drink in there during sunset, you'll not regret!), and the staff is awesome! The owner is a super funny guy, always ready to make our stay unforgettable, to the point of preparing sandwiches for us because our flight back home was very early and we would miss breakfast. What else can I say? I highly recommend this Angel's Home Hotel and surely will stay there again when I go back to Istanbul!

Its charming boutique hotel just behind the Blue Mosque, in a quite area, close to all main attractions and restaurants and tram station. Very clean, warm ,comfortable spacious rooms, with always hot water. Free minibar with refreshments and snacks, free tea-coffee in the room, also tea, coffee, snacks 24 hours in lobby. The breakfast is really good with many delicious choices. The view from breakfast room is amazing to Blue Mosque and the Marmara Sea. All staff is very affable,helped with explore details. We loved this really Angels home very much. Absolutely recommended!!!

We had this hotel booked for over a year, 4 weeks before we were to go I informed them on new card details. 3 days later I was told they had cancelled re problem with card, I tried to contact them via messages on booking . Com and email, no answer as to why they cancelled our dates, then saw on booking .com our dates available for 130 pounds more..I understand we had booked a long time before we went but am sure they realised the price we had agreed was now not applicable so cancelled us, they should have honoured the booking.. Fuming.......

Istanbul has two main tourist areas were all the attractions and historical monuments are located, Taksim and Sultanahmet District, both are separated by a 20 minute taxi ride, so I normally stay half of the days at the Taksim Nis Hotel and half at Sultanahmet.
On my second visit to Istanbul I stayed at Palmera Old City Hotel and the customer service and friendliness was superb, but it is always nice to try other options and areas, so for my third visit to Istanbul I decided to give it a try to this one, the Angels Home Hotel, now, after a one week stay with my parents, we all agree that the customer service, the location, the comfort of the rooms, the silence and quietness and the more flexible reservation policies of the Palmera Old City Hotel, make it a much better option than this one, and for a lower price.
As others have also mention, Angels Home Hotel cancellation policies are very strict, and once you book, it is almost impossible to get your money back or make changes, because once you make the reservation, they soon will charge your credit card.
