The Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumitz has garnered positive feedback for its sumptuously comfortable rooms and the exclusive perks of Club Lounge access, though service can sometimes miss the mark. Its prime location is a magnet for those looking to immerse themselves in the city's vibrant attractions and nightlife. Guests appreciate the value offered, especially when opting for club rooms. The hotel's atmosphere strikes a chord with its sophisticated and stylish vibe, and its cleanliness is regularly commended. Amenities like the upscale gym and tranquil pool add to the appeal, though some visitors suggest the pool loungers are sparse and spa treatments could be priced more competitively.

We have stayed in a lot of hotels, but the Carlton is without doubt the best we have ever stayed in.

We opted for a Club access room for a 5 night stay and were not disappointed. Right from arrival on check in the staff were superb - they went above and beyond to help with whatever we needed.

The room was spotless with nice touches like automatic curtains over our big panoramic window, a Japanese style toilet and Nespresso machine. The bed was very comfortable with very high quality linen and the internet was lightening fast.

Only a couple of criticisms from us - the air con was so cold, even set at 26 degrees (we live in Thailand), we were freezing and had to have it turned off most of the time! There wasn't a socket in the bathroom for hair dryers (only for shavers which normal plugs don't fit into) so makes it difficult for ladies to do their hair as there's no other sockets near to a mirror. The universal sockets next to the bed were very stiff, perhaps because they were new, but our 3 pin UK plugs didn't fully fit into them. These are minor criticisms thought, it's an outstanding hotel

The swimming pool is fabulous and huge, the best we have seen in Bangkok. Excellent happy hour and very attentive staff. The gym (although we didn't use it) is very well equipped. Plate restaurant with the set menu lunch was really good value and the food was excellent - we ate here twice. We went to the Cooling Tower rooftop bar and the views and sunset were stunning, along with brilliant staff and the cocktails were amazing. We will definitely stay here again!

Dear Loubbyloulou, Thank you for taking the time to share a review on your recent stay at Carlton Hotel. It's great to read that you had an enjoyable stay and visited our Plunge Pool Bar, Cooling Tower Rooftop Bar and Plate all-day-dining for our popular set lunch menu. My apologies for the issue you encountered with air-conditioning in your guestroom. The thermostat should have been able to control the temperature within a range of 20-26 degrees, but it must not have been working properly. I will follow-up this issue with our Engineering team, along with the universal power plugs. We look forward to welcoming you back to Carlton Hotel Bangkok Sukhumvit! Sincerely, Mark Bulmer General Manager

This is my second time to stay in this new hotel. The young team here is impressive. Upon arrival, I was welcomed by Khun Dy and Khun Benz who were so kind to my 7-month-old son. The receptionists were friendly, and my appreciation goes specifically to Khun Jane who took care of the check in as she was so attentive. After checking in, we went to have dinner at Tuxedo Bar. The beef bourguignon was top notch, and the bar staff, Regade was so polite.

The hotel is baby friendly, there was enough space beside the luggage rack to put the baby trolley in the room, and they were kind enough to provide not only the baby cot but also a baby bottle sterilizer and a small baby bathtub.

The view from our room on 23rd floor was stunning. This new luxury hotel is definitely worth a try.

My friend and I had a great stay here at Carlton Bangkok Sukhumvit. All the staff here were very friendly and helpful especially Khun Palm, Khun Art, and Khun Nuam. We spent our time only in the hotel by using all of their facilities.

Room:

The room was cozy, the bed was soft and comfy. The view from the room was spectacular.

Pool and Gym:

The gym has functional equipment with the alcohol wipes provided for sanitizing the equipment before and after use.

The pool area was nice, good for relaxing.

Restaurant:

Tuxedo Espresso Bar was perfect to chill out with your friend. They also provide grab and go breakfast, if you are in a rush.
The bakery and coffee there was delicious.

Wah Lok was one of the best Chinese restaurants. The foods were appetizing. Thanks to Khun Tuk for taking care of our order and also well aware of our friend's food allergy conditions very touching.

The Cooling tower was breathtaking. You can enjoy the stunning view of Bangkok from here. The foods and drinks there were perfect at a reasonable price.

If you are looking for someplace to stay for your staycation, this place is highly recommended

Bell boy and front desk tries to be friendly maybe not up to par yet but attitude is great at least. The rooms are very new, clean and amentities are great complete with ironing boards, hair dryers, good shampoos, the toilets are very japanese like not a fan of automatic toilets, automatic curtains and automatic lights. Breakfast not so much, too cold for my liking and quite expensive 450 baht per person not included in the rooms as they were discounted to like 1200 baht per room.

Carlton Hotel is actually my second choice as I was supposed to book in Sofitel Hotel. But due to Covid restrictions booking in Sofitel is not an option as it is not cancellable. However, I am glad that we have stayed in Carlton Hotel as it superseded our expectation.

We arrived late afternoon and we have been greeted happily by the concierge and receptionist. Check-in is smoothly done. We went to TUXEDO BAR while the receptionist is checking our rooms.

Room is nice and clean, big enough for two. Whenever we get back from sightseeing, the room is always been cleaned and toiletries, coffee pods, teas are being replenished each day without fail. Two pieces of clothes can be washed or dry clean each day for free so I have took advantage of this 😊. Additional pillows can be requested and thanks to Ms. Wawa she told me that I can request for a bath salt. She even requested this for me.

Our booking includes daily breakfast, foods are delicious. But maybe because we have stayed too long, I feel like the foods are almost the same. However, the waitresses are very attentive and always smiling so there’s no room to complain.

The canapes and bar at night is very relaxing, thanks to Wawa and her team. Wawa is very accommodating, attentive and cheerful. She knows what we like and ensure that we enjoy each night of our stay.

If you still have energy left at night, you can continue drinking at cooling tower.

Pool are also nice. Though we have only use this I think twice during our stay.

I can’t remember the name of the guy in the concierge but he was very helpful and always ready to lend a hand whenever we need him. He always checked on us if we need umbrella and have bottled water before we leave the hotel. He also arranged our antigen test as this are still required on our way back home.
Location is accessible, trains stations are nearby so you can easily go anywhere. I found out that booking a taxi for a whole day is much cheaper if you want to go
around without sweat. There are also loads of restaurant near the hotel.

Overall, I will recommend this hotel to my friends and will surely stay again on our return.

Carlton exceeded my expectations for a five star hotel. It do have everything you expect of a five star hotel but does so much more it should be given an extra star.

In terms of cleanliness during these times they do more than what you expect. Your temperature is measured automatically as you enter the hotel, elevators are sanitized every two hours, covid-killing machines in the lobby if you want to debac your phone or money or so, and the rooms are extremely clean.

Pro tip for future visitors is to add those extra 50$ per night for the Carlton club. That gives you top floor with the best view, breakfast, snacks drinks and wine and laundry worth many times more.

Also, this doesn’t show on their website but the pool is salt water chlorinated, ie the best you can get.

Big thanks to the friendly and welcoming staff and especially king Chang who will do anything to make your stay perfect. Look for him at the concierge, he looks like the king.

This is a beautiful new hotel, nice decor and quality furnishings all throughout and well situated near bars and restaurants plus only 5 minutes from soi cowboy. The rooms are spacious with good beds, curtains which open automatically when you touch them, flat screen TVs with English speaking channels showing films etc, a desk with chair and a further chair with a footstool . Fridges are available and 4 bottles of water provided each day and the tea and coffee options. Hair driers, clothes brushes, slippers, ironing board, iron and torch are in the wardrobes. The view from our 24th floor was fantastic especially at night. The bathroom had both a shower and bath plus the luxurious toilet with the heated seat and push button bidet options . There were good quality bath towels, robes and wash products including toothbrushes and paste and shaving items. The hotel had several dining options but we only had the breakfast which was included with our stay. This was varied with the Thai dishes and salads, cheeses, breads, cereals, cakes and croissants, fruits, eggs , bacon and sausage etc, yoghurts and fruits. The pool was big but I think on busy periods this could get crowded. Presently you have to call reception and ask if you can go to the pool as they do keep a check on numbers due to the covid situation. All areas have hand gel etc and lifts are busy so are cleaned every 2 hours. There are several double beds and chairs at the pool and bar service was also available . The hotel was not full so getting a sun bed was easy enough but could be problematic on busy periods. There are good showers both at the pool and inside the toilet areas. The hotel has a well stocked gym also. Staff were all excellent and helpful. We paid extra to keep the room for a few more hours as we had a very late flight home and this was arranged for us by reception and a taxi was ordered. We will defiantly visit again because it is pure luxury at a reasonable price.

Great stay at Carlton Bangkok Sukhumvit. Feels very new and we had a great family room. My boys loved the electronic toilet :).
Great views, fantastic pool. Best I have stayed at in downtown Sukhumvit.
Breakfast is good wonderful coffee, shame everything is wrapped in plastic but I sure this is due to covid restrictions. One area they should look at its getting rid of the plastic water bottles in the rooms and have glass bottles. Also remove the plastic bottles in the showers and baths.Or have refill stations for water. I believe this is now our favourite downtown place to stay now.
Thanks to You, Whan, Esther, Nuam and Dy for making it a great stay.

It's great to read that your family had a pleasant stay and enjoyed our family room accommodation. I appreciate your comments on use of plastic, which I am personally mindful of as well. Thank you again for the kind feedback. We look forward to welcoming your family back to Carlton Hotel. Best regards, Mark Bulmer General Manager

This hotel didn't look so amazing online but the reviews indicated otherwise so we asked the staff if we could see the room before we booked. The staff let us view a room and the facilities. Room looked great, they have a rooftop bar, and the skytrain was within reasonable walking distance.

We do miss having a 7-11 nearby and lots of good eateries like in the Thonglor area, there is some decent local food and it's mainly for the foreigners. The area lacks real Thai culture. But you could simply walk over to Terminal 21 and find a lot of good Thai food and others. Location wise I'd give this an 8 since you are near good public transportation for both MRT and BTS.

The room itself is spacious for 37 sqm. 2 quirks about the room. First, there is no hair dryer outlet so they help you out by getting you a mirror if you request one so you can dry your hair in the living space. Second, the toilet has a clear glass door as well as the shower. So it doesn't make for both to easily be used at the same time. You have to use the bathroom facilities one at a time.

Other than that, the room has fast wifi, limited to a few devices at a time but a simple phone call to the front desk they increased it to 6 devices. The wifi is fast, around 200mb down and 125 up. The lighting controls work very well and the motorized curtains are a real plus. Plenty of outlets and USB charging ports. Interesting feature is half of the room is tiled and half is carpeted near the bed. Storage for luggage is sufficient for 3 large pieces and 3 small pieces easily.

The shower works very well as well as the tub. The toilet has a washlet seat and it works OK, not like Toto quality for either.

The gym and pool are both very nice here. Not to mention there is a kids area but I'm not sure what it's like as it's currently closed, not sure when it will open. The roof bar is nice, a bit pricey as roof bars are but has a great view of the area.

Really the best part of the hotel is the service. They have been extremely accommodating from check in to everything else. Of particular note is the guy at the door named Chang, like the word for elephant. He's been so friendly and helpful, my son loves to see him each day. Great story of how he learned English on his own and moving from a security guard to the position he is in now, he seems to be a bit of a superstar and I'm sure next time I'm here he will have moved on to more senior roles.

Stayed there a few times in 2020 and over the new year. Hotel is brand new, which is amazing in itself, so fresh, no smells in the room, and finally I found a hotel with a good air conditioning system in the room that is not freezing and not loud, it is quiet and does exactly what you want it to do.

Nice bathroom too, and everything just works perfectly.

The best part of the stay were the staff though, some of the friendliest and most attentive I ever met. Especially the Korean lady at reception, Ester. She remembered my name from day one and even when I came back after a few months with no booking, just a walk in, she remembered my name. Impressive, she should get a raise :)

Anyway, everything else was great too, facilities and the pool are fantastic.

This is definitely my favorite hotel in Bkk now within it’s price range at least.

Oh and the location is the best. Walk to Emporium is 5min
