We may have found a new home resort at Disney — the resort is absolutely beautiful, you simply cannot beat the location, outstanding dining options (especially Flying Fish), and the manager and her team truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary trip extra special from the moment we checked in to the moment we departed. Epcot fireworks from our balcony was a highlight. Thank you Kristin and Co. for an unforgettable stay. Highly, highly recommend this resort.

We booked through Disney Vacations for 1 week and stayed in a one bedroom villa. The Villa was spacious for our family of 4. There was plenty of room in the family room area for the double fold out couch and a rollaway bed. My teenage daughter was initially given an air mattress which went flat during the night and the next day house keeping arranged for a proper rollaway. The rooms were quiet and the basic necessities were provided from paper towel to dishwashing liquid. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful and full of Disney spirit! The location is great and away from all the Disney madness. We didn’t use the pool but did enjoy the facilities in the games room - pool table and table tennis.
All in all a good pic for access to the parks.

Hi there! Thanks for dropping anchor with us here at Disney’s BoardWalk Villas. This is one of my favorite spots, as you’re surrounded by sea air and décor that sparks a feeling of peace. With plenty of space for the whole family and a kitchenette to boot, there’s no way you won’t feel right at home. I do apologize, though, for your daughter’s first night of sleep. After such a long flight, I’m sure that was a pain; I’m so glad our Housekeeping team could help! We hope you’ll come down the shore to visit us again soon. Emma Disney Social Reviews

We go to Walt Disney World every year during the Holidays and even though this year has been challenging we decided to still go. Since our favorite Resort was not yet opened we decided to try The Boardwalk Villas. One of the main reasons was so that we could walk to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. We were trying to limit ourselves from utilizing the Disney transportation service during this covid time as much as possible. The Resort was very nice but if I stay there again I will pick a room that has a shorter walk to the elevator. We also opted not to do valet baggage service or housekeeping service this visit. This villa had a full kitchen as well as a washer and dryer which was very nice. I do have one complaint though and this involves ALL Disney Resorts. When we came back to our room after being at the Park the first day I noticed that the trash had been emptied and at first I thought housekeeping had come by, We had opted out of that service and upon further observation our towels that we had used were still on the bathroom floor. We had also put the Do Not Disturb notice on the door when we left to go out that day. After calling to find out what was going on we were told that this a "Security Check" that they do everyday to all of the Resorts rooms whether you have a Do Not Disturb notice on your door or not. (Disney Travelers this is in the fine print) so be sure to check it out. We were NOT AT ALL pleased with this especially during this pandemic plus we had fully sanitized our room ourselves upon arrival. We talked to a Manger in housekeeping during that telephone call expressing our dislike and the fact that we didn't know what was touched during that "Security Check". We asked many times but were never given a satisfactory answer on what was involved in this so called "Security Check". By the way you can schedule them to come when you are in the room which is exactly what we did and we wanted a member of housekeeping management to come by. They came by the next day at the time we requested with mask, gloves, and spray bottle took a quick look and that was it. So Travelers be on the alert of this as it happens at all of the Disney Resorts. I will from now on be sure to secure any and all valuables and anything else before I ever leave my room again. So I will take off 1 point of the five point review because of this.

This stay was a replacement for Saratoga Springs stay that was supposed to happen in March. We were excited to go to Boardwalk and were very fortunate to get the room assignment of a special corner room with wrap around balcony (3 sets of double doors). When we arrived we also set out on a cleaning regimen and washed all the dishes pots, pans and silverware. We also stripped the bed of the linens and washed them and all the towels. Unfortunately the dryer wasn't working very well and it took 2 days to dry everything. We also cleaned all the tables, counters, chairs and knobs and pulls and faucets. Literally everything a person would touch to make it safer and virus free. Then we stepped out on the balcony which had a lot of mold. We couldn't clean it. Everything we tried didn't work. I am highly allergic to mold and on our 2nd day there I was sick from it with migraines, etc. We were so looking forward to enjoying the balcony and didn't get to use it at all. We stayed inside and figured that if we changed rooms it would probably have the same mold issue and it took us four hours to do all that cleaning. We were starting on a mission to investigate the Disney Vacation Club and seriously considering buying into it. That's why we were going to Saratoga Springs in March. Now we're concerned that a good majority of DVC villas have this mold issue and because you can't guarantee which room you will get and what shape it will be in so it's a lot of money to invest and no real guarantee of the condition of the property. We are now unsure of DVC. Another thing that was an issue was the lack of open restaurants and the general store was not well stocked so meals were an issue. I would love to go back to Boardwalk but not until the Inn side is open and club level restored. Our original reservation here was for a cottage garden suite on the Inn side. Also, we were celebrating our anniversary and my birthday and no letter or note or buttons or anything was given to us or left in our room.

Thank you so much for sharing these insights with us about your recent stay. I'm so sorry to read of your disappointments with the cleanliness of your balcony. We take your comfort very seriously, so if you ever find yourself less than pleased with the state of any part of your room, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Housekeeping team via your in-room phone. They will take the necessary steps to ensure your stay is top notch. I'll also be sharing your feedback with Leadership at the Resort so they can address any upkeep that may need attention. With regards to limited offerings, I truly understand the frustration. I promise we are working to provide the most magical experiences for all our Guests and the availability of amenities is a big part of this. The current limitations are in place to promote the health and safety of our Guests and Cast Members and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our offerings when possible. Thank you again for expressing the impacts these changes had on your vacation. I want to be sure to wish you both a belated happy anniversary and you especially a happy birthday! I can tell this trip wasn't quite the celebration you were hoping for and I apologize for the missed opportunities we had to make it extra special. I hope you will accept these sincere apologies and return to any of our wonderful Disney Vacation Club Resort hotels in the future for a stay that really reflects the Disney difference. Just left the Boardwalk villas. A few things I learned: check in time “STARTS” at 4 here. It’s not by 4 or at 4. It’s pretty much whenever after 4. That could be six. SO, basically everything at Disney is the covid excuse.
You can’t check in til 6? Well, we have to clean the rooms better. How poorly were you cleaning them before? Also, you’re not cleaning (not even for one moment, or giving new towels) DURING the stay, so housekeeping should be MUCH less busy. Why would it take so long to clean rooms when you may be cleaning more thoroughly, yet have fewer rooms to
clean? You want everyone spaced and have a ton of things closed in disney to do so, but you keep 60 people waiting hours in your lobbies bc the rooms aren’t ready? They are incredibly understaffed. With so many furloughed workers, how about adding the appropriate amount of staff now? The ones that are there are so over worked and look stressed and can be rude at times. I get it. I saw ONE housekeeper the whole visit on a huge floor.

Anyway, I guess it’s better than the beach club as I met people that stayed there and they couldn’t even get into the pool because of overcrowding.

Right now the benefits of staying on property just don’t exist. Besides walking to Epcot. The rooms are so cramped even for a studio villa. Heavy and cumbersome furniture that has to be moved to use the pull out couch or fifth bed. So everyone is walking all over the beds to get to the balcony and almost clipping the fan each time. The pool is out of the 70s. Massive resort with a pool size I’d be annoyed at at a 2.5 start motel. Mind you that only the villas are open right now. If the whole place were to be open, it would have been horrendously crowded.

Only food you can get is the pizza window (good pizza) and items from the bakery (egg sandwich, one hero, one salad etc). Nothing is opening on the boardwalk besides that and the grille. So it’s nice and quiet, but a little sad. The movie they play on the lawn is great for the kids. The gym is very nice. We are now back at a Marriott w so much space, I just will never stay on property again. Maybe w little ones it makes more sense but I can’t think of anything less relaxing!

Escape the buses and journey by foot to Disney’s Epcot from the Boardwalk Villas. The Disney Boardwalk offers contact-less checkin. Rooms are spacious, the villas have a full kitchen, large master bedroom and bathroom. The villas also have a washer and dryer and two balconies per villa.

Walk back to the Boardwalk for a splash in the pools after spending the morning or day at Epcot. Families with small children love the ease of getting back to the room for nap time.

The boardwalk outside the resort offers a great place to stroll day and night to find yummy food and ice cream. Check to make sure restaurants are open during the pandemic.

One tip, try to avoid rooms on the first floor facing resort parking, car headlights can become annoying as they shine across the room.

From the moment you walk onto the property you know you are some place special. The lobby is warm and welcoming with a beautiful old fashioned feel. The villa itself is a cute home away from home. You exit the lobby into the room hallways and the carpet has a lovely beach umbrella motif. The villa itself feels "homey" and like an apartment. They have plenty of space for your luggage including an entryway closet and a walk in off the bathroom. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a meal plus dish soap, sponge, dishes, utensils etc. I liked having a washer/dryer and they even give you some detergent. The balcony is a nice touch and it's relaxing to sit outside and have our coffee or a drink. The bathrooms are clean and large. My 10 year old especially enjoyed the jacuzzi tub. The bedroom is cozy. My only complaints about the room is the lack of USB ports. We did not find any in our room. Also the sofa bed is uncomfortable and the blankets are very thin. As far as the property, the pool is fabulous and our children had a great time using the slide. The experience at the pool bar was enjoyable. They had a large variety of drinks and snacks. Once you get out to the boardwalk you will find a beautiful view and plenty of fun shops and place to eat/drink.

I’ve always heard mixed feedback about BoardWalk over the years, so I wasn’t sure what to expect of the property going into my trip. I love the BoardWalk area (so much that I own DVC at Beach Club), but never tried the resort itself. Throughout my stay, I was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed my stay at the Villas and would honestly stay again in a heartbeat.

To start, one of the managers at BWV, Rafael, was great and displayed the exact kind of customer service you would expect from a Disney resort. I was having some issues earlier in my trip (not even relating to BoardWalk, but at Copper Creek and Magic Kingdom) that weren’t getting addressed at their respective locations. Because of the ongoing issues, I wasn’t in the best mood when I checked in and received the guest survey, and vented my frustrations in the survey. In less than an hour, I received a call on my cell phone from Rafael, who patiently listened to my concerns and was determined to make things right. Rafael made me feel heard and reminded me of why I’ve chosen Disney resorts so often over the years, when earlier in the trip had me questioning it.

My BoardWalk view room had a stunning view—right across the water from Yacht & Beach, with Spaceship Earth not too far away. Walking into the room and immediately seeing that view through the balcony door was priceless. The room was plenty spacious and featured a queen bed, pull-out sofa, and a single bed below the TV. The room decor was a bit on the older side but was all in decent shape. Both the sleeping area and the bathroom felt very comfortable and I could easily imagine staying there for a longer trip. Something about the room felt very familiar (in a good way), making me think back to Disney resort rooms I stayed in growing up.

Part of what gives the resort such a special charm is the little details throughout. The dozens of times I have walked along the resort’s border, I never would’ve known how cute the guest room corridors were with their seating areas, scattered windows overlooking the pool, and open atrium areas in some sections. Staying at BWV gave me a whole new appreciation for the resort and I would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Boardwalk Villas 8/3-8/7 in 2019 as part of a split stay, with the other four nights at Copper Creek Villas. We are DVC members. This was our first stay at the Boardwalk. We stayed in a two bedroom lock-off villa, with a view of the pool. We are a family of five, with two adults and three children, age 18, 15, and 11. We have stayed at multiple resorts in Disney World and this has become our favorite!

The location can't be beat. We loved walking to both Epcot and Hollywood Studios. It was especially nice with park hopper tickets, as we could spend time at one park and then take the boat over to the other.
The pool is nice, with a slide that kids seem to like.
We took bus transportation to MK and AK and that was efficient.
The gym was adequate. If you are a runner, the lake is a nice loop, and you can tack on mileage running on the path to DHS.
Our room was fantastic. It was a studio attached to a one bedroom with two separate entrances that could be used. Our kids set up in the studio with plenty of sleeping space for the three of them.
The dining options on the boardwalk were ok; I'm speaking mostly of quick service. Ample Hills Creamery is the ice cream shop, which was delicious, but crazy expensive.
Big River Grille Works, which is on the boardwalk but not in the resort, was awful.
Ale and Compass, in the Yacht Club across the lake, was amazing for breakfast.
I know that many people complain about the walk to their room at this resort, but we never mind the extra steps, so this did not bother us.
We look forward to staying here again!

Christina, thank you for sharing a look at your first time trying out our charming Resort. I’m overjoyed to hear it’s now you and your family’s favorite! I agree with you about the location—it just can’t be beat. Whether you’re venturing to Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, other nearby destinations along Crescent Lake, or exploring this Resort’s offerings, there’s always something exciting to see or do within walking distance. I also appreciate you mentioning the food options waiting to be discovered here. I’m sorry to hear Big River Grille & Brewing Works wasn’t quite what you were looking for. However, Ale & Compass Restaurant is truthfully one of my favorite restaurants across all of the Walt Disney World Resort, and I’m thrilled you took the time to give it a try for breakfast. In my opinion, the outstanding breakfast entrees and impeccable service are only made better by the option to add all that the breakfast buffet has to offer for just a few dollars more. Thank you for being part of our family of Disney Vacation Club Members. We can’t wait to welcome you and your family back in the future. AJ Disney Social Reviews

You know Disney is throwing in the towel with service and quality when people who have visited since the 1980s, and owned Disney Vacation Club for the last 8 years are done.
We've watched things gradually go downhill even pre-pandemic, and since we've loved Disney for so long we made plenty of exceptions and allowances we never would of other destinations.
This last trip was the nail in the coffin though.
We arrive to our room to find it looking worn and not overly clean, it had only decaffeinated coffee, not enough towels for the guests staying in the room, only about 3 paper plates for a 7 day stay. We had to call multiple times for necessities and wait so long to get them. Things that should be standard like soap, enough towels, coffee with CAFFEINE, enough utensils and plates in a villa, we felt like we had to constantly BEG for. Housekeeping seemed pretty nonexistent. The fold out couch was awful and the springs were really sticking out but they could not provide a mattress topper (said they were all out?) The fire alarm was tested, which we could understand is necessary safety thing sometimes. However, they tested it three days in a row for well over an hour. Nothing like coming back to your hotel room to relax in the afternoon and having to retreat to the balcony THREE days in a row to avoid the ear piercing sound. Elevators of course were down again (surprise) We were staying on a RunDisney race weekend and the bus just never showed up until just before the race. Lots of guests asked hotel mgmt for help and got nowhere. Lots of people missed their starting times and we had to run to make our corral, despite showing up well ahead of when we were told to be there. The hotel mgmt could care less. You'd think they could have contacted someone. The regular park busses were always crowded too. Standing room every single time in the morning and the evening, and there is no line to board so it's chaos of people crowding to get on and get ahead of each other. With a special need kiddo with a hidden disability this is ESPECIALLY trying. We ended up having to drive ourself to parks most of the time (so why pay the premium for a dirty on site hotel anymore?) You should not get worse service at Disney Vacation property that's certainly pricey than you get at a cheaper Hampton or something. If this was a one off experience that would be one thing too, but we've stayed about 5-6 weeks total over the last 3 years and each experience was pretty similar. Such a shame.

Yes it is. The skyliner is right by the Epcot world showcase entrance and the friendship boat dock. This is only a short walk from the resort. It was very convenient.

The one bedroom that we had was in great shape. They had new (from the last time we had stayed) vinyl flooring in the main room which we really liked.
