The hotel is in a fantastic location 5 mins from the station and Dam Square and whilst on a busy street once inside it is very quiet. The room we were allocated upon arrival was ridiculous it was in the attic hard to get to and so tiny nowhere to store anything at all with the smallest single beds. We complained and the be fair we got moved as luckily they had another room we could use if not it would have ruined our break. I would recommend the hotel on the location, comfort, cleanliness and service just make sure they don't put you in the attic!

The hotel is located a mere 5 mins’ walk from Amsterdam Central station (exit via Centrum and walk past the bustling and chaotic streets.) I booked a single room with private bathroom. The small room is complete with clean sheets, comfortable bed, safe box, water boiler, housekeeping, simple toiletries, bath and face towels, hangers, a small table with stool, bedside pedestal – all very efficiently designed to optimize the space. TV channels are sketchy but that is just being petty.
Light sleepers may hear faint noises coming from the streets late into the night especially during weekends, as well as guests in the floor above yours. If there was a slight issue, it was that there is no door (due to the small space) between the shower and dry area, so you need to be careful while bathing so that water does not splash out onto the dry area (helpfully, they already placed a floor towel at the entrance to the shower.) Those with a traditional luggage bag may have an issue opening it without blocking the narrow walkway in the room, but I had no such problems since I travelled with a backpack.
Another disclaimer is that, being an average-height Asian, I found it easy to navigate the short ceiling and narrow spaces, so taller visitors be warned. Hotel staff are polite, friendly and helpful. All in all, a fantastic hotel!

Changed rooms as originally put in one with central air con unit outside window that kept me awake all night. Guests were obviously smoking weed in rooms nxt to me as the smell was overpowering but disappeared once you left the room and were in Reception.Staff pleasant enough. If you pay for breakfast which is available in pancake shop nxt door. No vegan option or dairy free alternative for coffee/tea. Breakfast looked plentiful, but could only have toast! Room extremely small if single occupancy. All in all you get what you pay for. When changed rooms given one with wonderful views of canal.I would recommend hotel for location and value for money.Remember to check site you book on may not tell you amount of hotel tax on room ' I paid €28 for 3 nights.

Our 3rd stay at the CC and still our favourite! Every member of staff was polite and helpful, the house keeping team do a great job, every area of the hotel we saw was immaculate. The bed was super comfy and plenty big enough, the shower had perfect heat and pressure. The complimentary latte from the reception was lovely and available 24/7.
The location of the hotel is ideal as you are walking distance from all of the main attractions in the city. The CC is not the cheapest option in the city but it is worth the extra spend due to the location and the service level of the hotel.
We defo hope to be back soon.

On a recent 2 day trip to Amsterdam we stayed at this hotel. We originally booked a small double room by on arrival realised small is very small! My husband is 6ft so the bed was not very comfortable for him! The staff were very accommodating and moved us with no fuss to a standard double room. The location of this hotel is great walking distance to all of Amsterdams greatest highlights! The hotel has everything you need and above all is very clean! Thank you Hotel CC for a great trip!

We are booked in Hotel CC, in Amsterdam in June this year, prior to a cruise. Unfortunately due to the Corona Virus and me being a cancer patient, we need to cancel our trip and postpone till next year. 2 in our party are forbidden to board the cruise ship as they live in China. We have appealed to the hotel to either cancel and refund or hold a credit for next year and on both attempts to negotiate with them, they will not waiver and assist. I find this totally inconsiderate in a time where countries are trying to curb the spread of the disease. We are being responsible travelers, however hotels like this should be made public so that travelers know that they will not assist in any urgent or desperate matter. We are really upset about having to cancel our trip however we don’t have an option.

Dear Guest, Thank you for contacting us. We do understand the worldwide problem of Covid-19. And Let me remind you that we are a responsible hotel and are in service almost more than a 15 years. And proud to say that because of our prime location and service we do have regular/returning guest in big numbers. Coming back to your comments; I am not sure that when did you contact us? However we also need to cooperate with our Dutch government rules and regulations (Covid-19) to travelling industry and its implication to the hotel like us. Generally, In case of pre-paid booking, we are unfortunately obligated to follow the non-refundable booking policy . However; understanding the current situation, the hotel management currently decided (probably for temporary period, largely depends on how this Covid-19 pandemic goes ) to make an exception to modify the booking if its possible. We had a very easy check-in, with no fuss and greeted by very friendly front desk staff. We arrived early and we’re able to leave our bags in a secure area, with receipts given to us for pick up later. After several hours, we returned and the front desk staff immediately remembered my name and that we have bags secured. The location is great, but were concerned at the potential noise from foot traffic in the area; however, that was not a problem as we had a great split level ‘quad’ room at the top and to then back of the hotel.

We had a booking, but could not travel due to Covid. We were told we could get a refund ,but instead we asked about changing the dates and were told we could, but the new dates had higher rates as our orignal booking was "a deal". We paid almost the same as the original booking to move it (as the place looked nice and we could understand the new dates were school holidays). The dates came and travel restrictions were still in place. We asked for a refund and/or credit note so we could rearrange once travel restrictions were lifted. Were told absolutely no refunds whatsoever, and the price we paid to move it last time wasnt about the different rates (they hadnt changed) - but the cost to make a change, and if we wanted to move again we'd need to pay again. We were lied to. Had we been told that the first time, we would not have paid approx 70% of the cost of our initial booking - we would have just written the booking off and chosen one with a flexible rate. We were lied to, so that they could take our money. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID

Stayed in the hotel on many many occasions over the last 10 years, this was our first time back since before covid for my 30th Birthday and I left feeling extremely disappointed.
When we got to the hotel, we were allocated our room a small double with canal view, we noticed a horrible smell coming from the bathroom, went to reception and told a gentleman on the desk he advised it would be sorted, next morning we still had the same issue, told reception and a lady told us that this would be sorted and the bathroom would be cleaned again we came back very late around 1am but the smell was still there but even stronger. Upon check out this morning we spoke to the same lady on reception and told her the smell was still there and advised her we couldn’t even take a shower for the 2 nights we were there as it was rancid, her response was she had been to the room and she couldn’t smell anything - this I found extremely unprofessional as it made me feel asif she thought we were lying.
There wasn’t is even an apology!
I am never ever one for leaving bad reviews but this has really frustrated me as we are extremely loyal customers to this establishment.

If you can book room 111, you will get a comfortable reasonably decorated room with a million dollar view of life in Amsterdam and a balcony, you can watch real life ‘Dutch theatre’ from your room. It’s absolutely superb! I suspect the rooms facing the street are not as nice and I think room 111 may be the only canal facing room with a balcony.

2 in 1 shower gel and shampoo. But it was empty. Xx
There is a lift, but it doesn't go all the way to all rooms - so, as previously mentioned, if you're "stair averse" ask to be allocated a room directly accessible by lift - also, I'd also personally recommend asking for a 'room without stairs' too - the hotel has some 'split level' rooms where a steep case (almost a ladder) leads to the bed - during our 1st stay there was no TV in that part of the room either, only down below and I like to fall asleep with the TV on sleep timer, so that wasn't exactly ideal. During our 2nd stay we asked for a non-split-level room, which was way better! But this is such a great hotel and a good base from which to explore this fabulous city :-)
En fait, je ne suis pas allé à cet hotel. Je vous le déconseille (si c'est pas trop tard) suite à mon expérience:
j'avais fait une reserv de 2 chambres pour fin decembre dernier. Vu l'évolution du Covid, j'ai préféré annuler 3 semaines avant, tout en notant sur le site que 'des frais d'annulation pourrait être facturé ' et la surprise a été que ces dites frais serait de 390 € des 420 payé lors de la reservation!
J'ai tout de suite contacter booking qui m'ont promis de leur envoyer un mail pour remettre en place la reservation et m'ont conseillé de les appeler quand même.
Chose faite, je tombe sur un monsieur à la reception qui dit sèchement :trop tard l'annulation ( que j'avais faite 1/2 plus tôt!) est irréversible, je ne pouvais pas remettre en place la reservation et venir quand même .
J'ai insisté, Il ne voulait rien entendre, il m'a gâché mes vacances de Noël et j'ai payé 390€ pour rien.
dans quelques jours on s'y rend mais dans un autre Hôtel. Soyez prudent, ce sont des gens de mauvaise foi il me semble.
