Westgate Town Center Resort, favored for its proximity to Disney and local amenities, offers a variety of family-friendly options; however, reviews indicate some challenges. Guests appreciate the diverse amenities but have faced issues with maintenance and service, particularly regarding pool access. Despite many praising the cleanliness, concerns with room upkeep and outdated decor persist. The atmosphere is geared towards families, but adults may find the ambiance lacking, especially when using the pullout sofas. Service experiences fluctuate widely, and some visitors feel misled by sales tactics and overpriced offerings, questioning the resort's overall value.

We have stayed at other Westgate resorts before, this was our first time at this location. The location is right off Highway 192 in Kissimmee, near Walmart, restaurants and various stores. Also not to far from Highway 4, be aware of rush hour times because the main street can be busy. The resort is beautifully landscaped with many units. Friendly staff and check in was easy. We were offered to attend a presentation but they weren't pushy. There are many amenities, pools, and stores, but ask to be located near certain ones if you plan to walk to them because the area is large. The room, was clean, nice but a little dated, it looked almost the same as when we first visited Westgate properties in the early 2000's. Our room was a one bedroom which was roomy with a sofa bed. The bedroom had 2 doors, one to the living room, other to the bathroom, so if there is another guest they would see you in the bedroom when in the bathroom if you didn't close the door. Water pressure was low but the tub has jets. The kitchenette was a good size, stocked with dishes, but there isn't a dinette set. The biggest problem was the unit is a lock out & we could hear the guest in the next room very well, walking around and smell what they were cooking, . We were out during the day but it was a bit uncomfortable knowing I could hear them at times. Also the TV didn't have an onscreen menu so you don't know what channel you are on or a program guide. For the most part it was a nice stay.

I was nervous after reading the reviews, but we were pleasantly surprised. We were in one of the newer towers, so our condo was wonderful! Our 2 bedroom had plenty of space for our family of 7, with beautiful views of the resort. It was so nice to have a kitchen and two living spaces to spread out! We had about a day and a half at the resort and we enjoyed the amenities, for the most part. It was cool when we were there, so they closed the waterpark without warning, which was very frustrating. The information about weather policy was inconsistently followed and not communicated to guests. The arts and crafts were fun for our kids, but they were out of some important items. The activity center was out of tennis balls, which is unfortunate. Westgate needs to do a better job planning and keeping up with the details such as these in order to really improve their customer service. We are owners, so all of the extras were free, but it would be very expensive if you had to pay for all of the activities on top of the rooms. The location is wonderful. Walmart is close by and very nice. The ice cream place in the resort is great and reasonably priced. Overall, we would stay here again because it has a lot of amenities for our family. I just hope Westgate can improve in some of the areas mentioned.

To start, I want to say that my husband and I are Marriott fans. The ONLY reason we did not stay at the Marriot Harbour Lake or one of the Marriot properties is because they did not have any available the week we went. So we THOUGHT we chose the next best resort, Westgate Town Center. NOPE! Marriott resorts are far far better than the Westgate. Although Westgate has tons of good amenities, and is a good resort if you have kids cuz of all the pools, the rooms were simply ugly. Ugly furniture, out-dated appliances and it kind of looks like they just threw stuff in the room. The room reminded me of an Extended Stay type hotel. We opened our washer/dryer combo to wash clothes and I smelled mildew. Standing water was in the washer. We called maintenance. Someone came and eventually drained the washer and the room smelled of sewage. They were nice enough to have someone come in to clean up the floor after all the water was all over and they somehow made it smell better. We purchased internet for the week. Their internet service was horrible. Not worth the $40. The manager was agreeable to take it off our bill after my husband called several times about it. There were shoes in the bedroom by the bed apparently left by the past guest. The grounds could be pretty, but always had trash all over the place. Tv's were only like 25 inches. Very small in comparison to other rooms and resorts we have stayed at. We will NOT be back. We prefer nicer appointed well decorated rooms. Not outdated

Don’t be fooled by the fancy pictures online and the fancy lobby check in area. If you are looking for a resort that has a constant disruptive noise level, then this resort is for you. If you aren’t in a full kitchen room forget it, you will not be able to prepare anything in your room. There is a reason they don’t have pictures of the half kitchen on their site, a pop up camper has more cook space.
They have quiet hours from 10p-7a. It’s laughable as every night we were there it was never “quiet” until well after midnight. The first night there we could hear some sort of large group of people having an altercation outside until 1am. After this all of the other nights there had constant noise.
Housekeeping carts are placed all over the place including outside of your door. These are covered in plastic, so if it’s windy you hear that rustling through the windows. The windows don’t have shades, they have cheap blinds. Light filters in all night. Doors, walls and windows are not thick so you can hear everything through all of it, especially if you are sharing a door or wall with another vacationing family. The floors were filthy, our feet were black after walking around 5 min.
Then comes the wifi...they want you to pay $40 for a week of wifi. Fortunately, there is 5G coverage there, but wait!! It is so slow that you can barely use it...funny how when you get off the resort property the LTE works perfectly...I’ll let you come to your own conclusion on that.
To say we were disappointed with our accommodations is putting it lightly. I would not recommend this resort to anyone, ever. Out of all of the places we’ve stayed this is by far one of the worst. Look somewhere else.

I am a timeshare owner and oh boy has Westgate town Center taken a turn for the worst. The property located in Kissimmee, FL is outdated and dirty. It was disappointing because I expected cleanliness not to be an issue because of covid most places are taking extra steps to keep the places clean. We had a 2 bedroom villa the floors were disgusting dirty and the room was musty.
The bedsheets and covers looked liked they have not been changed in months. I had to wipe
Down the entire room and Lysol the place. All the hand sanitizer stations in the property were empty and never filled the entire week we were there. Staff did not want to be bothered unless you would sit down for another presentation. Even though I am a timeshare owner I keep getting harassed to attend the 90 minute presentations to try to get you to upgrade to a bigger unit. Once you decline they don’t want to be bothered with you. We wanted to leave on the 2nd day we ended up planning a day out every single day so that we would not be in this so called resort for extended periods of time. This is definitely not a resort feel at all. If you are looking for a relaxing time with your family. Stay away from Westgate resort and beware of buying the time share not worth it!! I regret it! You are better off saving your money to go on a nice vacation than paying into a time share like this. If you do decide to go through with buying at Westgate beware of all the hidden cost and conditions they are not upfront with. Btw I called front desk to get my room cleaned and they said they don’t clean the rooms when guest are there d/t covid and they can send me everything so I can do it. I understand the safety concern with covid but I didn’t get a clean room to begin with!! Horrible horrible experience!!

The reviews on here are pretty accurate.

We arrived at the front desk just to find out there were no wheelchair friendly rooms. We spoke to the manager before flying in, who reassured us we would be able to stay with our wheelchair bound sister.
This was not the case. The customer service told us this was not possible anywhere on the resort. We were moved off the main resort to the 11B building.

Being moved off the main resort meant we had to walk the long distance (20 min) back to the main area if we wanted to partake in the emmenitites included.

There is nothing included. There was no breakfast, and you have to literally pay to do anything fun, including the water park. Why would anyone stay here if you have to pay for everything that is included at any other hotel?!!

Some of the staff were very friendly. Our issue was the cleaning people never came after we requested them to. Because of covid, they don't change sheets, clean, take out trash, or provide transportation. There is NO SHUTTLE TO DISNEYLAND OR THE AIRPORT, just so you know. This wasn't told to us when we booked.

I wouldn't stay here again even if the prices were cut in half. It is simply not worth it. There are much better and cheaper options.

Our 1st Anniversary was spent here for a 11 days. Unfortunately, we had to travel during the pandemic. Westgate did an outstanding job making us feel safe. Temperature check, mask required, hand sanitizers dispensers through out building.

We booked a deluxe 1 bedroom months ago through Westgate reservations. This means there 1 bedroom which has a Jacuzzi and a balcony. when we checked in at the resort we were told our reservation isn't for a deluxe 1 bedroom but a 1 bedroom with no Jacuzzi or balcony. They told us if we have a problem to call reservations. the front desk couldn't. Se we called Westgate reservations (same company right) who we made the booking through. I got a person on the phone and they were willing to clear it up but the clerk wouldn't talk to them. the clerk told us that reservations have to call the front desk and ask for a supervisor.I was put on hold by reservations. While we waited the clerk confirmed there was a deluxe 1 bedroom on the 4th floor although we requested a ground floor. Finally the reservations person and supervisor connected. The supervisor explained there was no guarantee we would get the type of room we booked. When asked about the room on the 4th floor she told us it wasn't available now. We finally ended up with a 1 bedroom standard room (much smaller than the deluxe). I have travel through North America and internationally for 40 years and if a room I booked was not available when I checked in either the room I was given was better than I booked or they walked me which means they found the type of room i booked at another hotel and paid the difference. We were not the only ones not getting what we booked. Family of 6 next to us were to get a 2 bedroom and had to settle for the one bedroom next to us. We are totally disgusted with this resort and Westgate for that matter. It ruined our vacation that had been planned for months. If you book here don't expect to get what you booked probably less

Do not stay here
I honestly never write reviews but I feel it is appropriate for people to know what type of place this is.
My family and I arrived and upon inspection of our first room there was hair everywhere popcorn and o found a bug in the bed. I was ready to check out but my husband was insistent that we could turn it around. We were transferred to a cleaner room right outside there was pool access and a playground which was great for our little kiddos.

Until the pool was so crowded I didn’t feel it was safe for my two littles to swim with so many bigger kids being rowdy- with parents not supervising at all. Then the insane Amt of marijuana smoking was unbearable!! It was everywhere!! I even had to look it up to see if it was legalized here..... even so my KIDS are around ! Have some respect. There was also hair in our jucuzzi tub so clearly that was unusable

We had Disney plans and lots of things off of the resort so that we spent minimal
Time here was the only reason we stayed the remainder of the week.... but the bad reviews are NOT exaggerating. Spend about 20.00 more a night and stay on Disney property.! We will never come back

From arrival to departure this hotel was a disaster. Check in was exhausting, after you are through the intake process they fetch a handler who then walks you to another desk to try to sell you tickets and rope you into a timeshare while your family waits in the car. You have to firmly shut them down and say you're not going to parks and you are busy the whole time to get your room key.

The room was in building 6. Paid for a very upgraded room. The room at first glance was okay. It was dirty like others have suggested. Just poorly cleaned, other people's hair on the sink and strange streaks in the shower.

They do not clean your room, you cannot even request it! They leave you with enough towels, soap, toilet paper for about 1-2 days with a family of 4. Therefore you are forced to call the main desk for supplies. The phone in the room barely works and you could not hear the other person, when they even picked up, you had to call every number on the phone. Suggestion, call the main number for reservations from your mobil, they do answer the call for sales ;).

Once you request something, it's hours before you get it, sometimes not at all. I had to call for pillows 4 times. They told me there was a shortage in pillows. I know, you cannot make this up! We used the pullout, there were no pillows or blankets for the pullout initially. Then there was one pillow per side and they were embarrassingly thin.

Our AC was not working from the onset. I had several technicians in our room for 2 days while we were gone to the parks and at night while we were trying to relax. They were in our way, talking loudly. No ac until the end of day 2. Thankfully it was not terribly hot but the room was up to 76 and that is not comfortable to me.

Once that disaster was over, my hot water goes out. They send more techs up to tell me that in order to use our hot water, we must turn on the hot tub in the bedroom. I know, you're like ??? He was dead serious, they knowingly had a diverter vacuum issue and it was effecting the ability to somehow give us hot water. So, the remaining three days we had a tub running while 4 people showered, did laundry, ran the dishwasher. It was absolutely miserable.

I finally had enough, they did not have any other rooms upgraded like ours to put us in, and honestly never offered. They make you use an annoying text feature that seems like you only get canned responses from to address issues or concerns. I reached out to the COO and got some responses that were semi appropriate. Although my couple grand should have been completely refunded, I did receive $374 refund for my trouble. It was not nearly enough, but it was something.

This resort is atrocious, in all areas. I would never ever recommend you stay at this resort.
