I booked this hotel especially for the view on the Trevi fountain and payed for a more expensive room to make sure i would have the view and it was better then expected!

The room was normal it was clean basic and fresh the bathroom was small but it was clean.

The breakfast was a problem for us.

Normally when a hotel includes a breakfast you don't expect that you have to walk to a other building at the end of the street to only get a croissant.
We saw a kitchen in the hotel so we thought maybe because of the corona situation that it was temporarily closed.
But it would have been nice to offer the guests some bread or yoghurt

But the staff was super friendly and made us feel welcome

This is a wonderful holiday hotel! The location is a walking distance to virtually anything tourists want to see and a €11 taxi ride to anywhere if you don't want to walk. Incredibly helpful and professional staff and the European style continental breakfast was very good. I read a couple of reviews the view is blocked but for two nights our room overlooked the fountain and there's nothing to block that view if you're in the right room. I wouldn't recommend this for someone with expectations of a Marriott in New York hotel. It's small but very clean, the beds are comfortable and we didn't spend a lot of time hanging out in the hotel... because the helpful staff helped us find everything we wanted to see and it was very easy from this great location!!

We had read the reviews after booking and were a bit worried but we shouldn't have been. Yes its in need of some love and update but its a very old building with quirky style but our rooms were clean and tidy. We had a issue with the glass shower smashing and the came up immediately replaced with a curtain and cleaned it all up that you wouldn't have noticed. Staff were friendly especially upstairs in the bar and yes the prices were very high but have you seen the view. Personally I do the breakfast/bar area is rather small for the hotel size because it quickly feels up so be aware of this.
The view....I mean there are no words how spectacular it is just breathtaking..its nowhere noisy as we had read but it is probably more than other places though but its so central with such a good location for walking to all of the other attractions

My partner and I stayed for one night on 28th Dec 2021. We booked directly via the hotel mobile site for a slight discount, however this meant it was non refundable and non cancellable and cost around £191 (excluding city tax).

We opted to pay extra for a fountain view room and were allocated room 103 upon arrival. There is an old tiny lift or you can take the stairs to the 1st floor. In terms of the bed and bed linen they were fine, the floor needed some attention with some boards broken in our room, the USP is the double windows which opened out to give you an elevated view of the magnificiant Trevi Fountain which meant you can avoid all the big crowds around the view point and the main reason for us booking this hotel in the first place.

Downsides to the hotel were the tiny shower cubicle/ bathroom in our room. My partner is 5ft 9 and I'm 5ft 2.5" and found the shower cubicle tiny, claustrophobic, dark and sprayed water all over the bathroom floor. Breakfast was included with our booking, views of the fountain are limited from certain spots of the breakfast room unless you sit directly next to the window. The breakfast served was below average, I'm not a picky eater but the boiled eggs were over done, the bread was rock hard, the slices of cheese and ham were store bought, however the hot beverages, juice and fresh fruit were plentiful and delicious though. I think we anticipated something more authentic because of the cost of the stay was almost 4 times more than our hotel stay near the Manzoni Metro stop.

Our visit was at the end of Dec. so the radiators were making loud banging noises around 2am (probably needed bleeding/ maintenance) and the noise from people outside the fountain don't really stop till around 3am but start again around 7am, so don't expect a well rested night's sleep! Luckily we only stayed one night so we tolerated the noise, even if we were to complain there was nothing they could have done about the outside noise.

The staff are all very hardworking and are doing all they can given the times.

Location wise, this place is in the thick of it, directly facing the amazing Trevi fountain, lots of restaurants and places to see nearby (Pantheon, etc.) however I wouldn't recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay again in it's current state.

The hotel is a jewel in the middle of Rome. With a "all you can eat" breakfast is well worth the price considering the fact that you can reach almost anything in Rome just by walking. The staff is very kind and helpful, you feel safe and what I really adored was the "out of time" feeling pervading the simple, but retro hall, rooms and the beautiful breakfast dining room on the top of the building ( airconditioned). The building is under renewal at the moment so we cannot say what it looks like from outside.

We booked this hotel thinking it would be a romantic great experience but unfortunately it was not.

1. We paid for a room with the Fontana view and to our surprise, the view was blocked. They gave us a room with no view at all. We asked for a refund for the extra money we paid for booking that special room and they said they could not.
2. They gave us a room with no AC and with a broken shower. We could not last more than one night in there. It was extremely hot. They said they would give us a different room the day after but they did not.
3. The breakfast area has window closed and no AC.
4. The front desk guy who we talked to was very rude. When we did an early check out he asked us why we were leaving and when we started listing all the negative comments he did not let us finish and walked away.
5. No cars can access that area due to the traffic of tourists around, so it is not convenient if you are bringing luggage with you.
6. Everything is extremely old at this place. Pillows, sheets, mattress, shower, elevator, etc.
7. It’s not a 3 starts hotel and it’s not as advertised.
8. We checked out early and moved to a more modern hotel close by and the difference in cost, service and quality is HUGE.

On top of all the below, the property didn't even bother to answer to my complaint after the stay.

1) The main one was that despite the "fountain view" room, the fountain was barely visible because of the scaffolding. Please see the attached photos.

2) The main reason we booked this hotel since January 2022 was for the fountain view. Since the fountain was almost not visible, it means we booked the hotel for nothing.

3) There was no communication (email, phone, SMS etc) from the hotel about the scaffolding, informing us about the situation and offering options of canceling/compensation/changing etc

4) On the hotel's website we later found out about the following message :
"Our clients will not experience any inconvenience from this work."
- this is anything but "any inconvenience": workers started working at 5 AM, with noise from steps, shouting and hitting the metal bars. The "fountain room" had almost no view of the fountain. These are MAJOR inconveniences.

"The Trevi Fountain will be visible through a cloth."
- please see the attached photo. I guess it's really clear that the fountain was almost not visible at all through the cloth.

5) Intense noise starting at 5 AM from the workers from steps, shouting and hitting the metal bars. They were also walking in front of our window. Something noone would want for their hotel room.
I agree it's part of their job however, the client (us) should have been informed beforehand about all this inconvenience.

I steer clear of writing negative emotional reviews, but want to warn others. This hotel ruined our trip to Rome. We paid for 2 nights and left after 1 night.
Based on the reviews, we must have gotten the worst room they have available. The location is amazing as it is steps away from the Trevi Fountain. As such, expect it to be loud. Massive crowds and the fountain is loud. You can’t expect this location to be peaceful.
The service is really nice, I feel bad writing such a terrible review because the desk manager and breakfast staff were very gracious and helpful.
Ask to see your room first if you go.
Our room had two twin beds, everything felt dirty. The bathroom was disgusting. The shower is so small you can’t turn around and the shower curtain sticks to you. My husband held the shower curtain away from me so I could shower, he didn’t even want to get in. The shower gel bottles were used, the bathroom walls had hair stuck to it from prior guests.
The hotel booking site we used indicated they had parking. They don’t, there is a parking garage nearby but you aren’t guaranteed a spot. Initially they told us it was full, but after asking for help to find another, they found us a spot. There is a very sweet gentleman there who helped us get our luggage to the parking garage. Again, the staff deserves 5 stars, but the room was just awful!

Location of the hotel was fantastic, right in front of the Trevi fountain, really in the centre of Rome and all the main tourist attractions (Pantheon, Vatican, Colosseum) within 20 minute walk and amazing restaurants and bars close by. We did not use any public transportation during our stay - there was absolutely no need to.
The staff were very friendly, polite and very helpful. Breakfast – very good, fresh and tasty (eggs, cheese, ham, selection of cakes, some vegetables and fruits). The restaurant of the hotel is situated on 4th floor with a breathtaking view of the Trevi fountain - a nice place to have a cup of coffee or a glass of Aperol Spritz.
The bed was really comfy, the room was really clean and with a stunning view of the Trevi Fountain.
It was an enjoyable experience and for sure I'll recommend this location. Great value for money! Would certainly go back for future stays in Rome.

Hotel location for trevi fountain few great however that's where it stops. The rooms need upgraded restrooms. They added electric key card along with newer heater/ac unit. Bathroom leaking all over the place. Little water bugs crawling around. Comforter had stains and hairs on it. When asked for tissue box they said we don't offer that just use toilet paper. No communication on the fan operation or anything in room. Breakfast lack luster for the price. If your wanting to visit historic site and don't mind poor hotel then book but it's not cheap for a view. Overall would never return here and glad only one night or would be very disappointed if long stay.

We took a taxi from the airport with no issues. They dropped us very close to the hotel. It was in the morning and the crowd at the fountain was minimal.

Hello we always ask the hotel to book us a taxi the day before we need it and it will arrive in the square to the left and the driver will come to hotel to collect you and luggage. We prefer to get the hotel to call one as there is a better level of security with regard to cost.
