Great for walkers
Places to stay are graded on a 0-100 scale. The higher the grade, the easier it is for travellers to find restaurants and things to do within walking distance.
The hostel was clean and the owner very kind. Our room had a nice bathroom, and we liked the area, close to the Casa de Musica. My only complaint is that the mattresses were pretty hard. I used all the extra bedding underneath me to make it more comfortable.

Very nice hostal in the heart of Barcelona. Well located, nice neighbourhood ,every member of the staff is adorable, the place is clean, there is AC in the rooms... They provided us with shower towels, soap and shampoo.
The only down side is the lack of an elevator if your room is situated on one of the high floor, and the noise from the hostel itself. We could hear the others customers very well from our room.
But overall, I recommend this hostel if you are on a budget. The quality/price is very good.

Very clean rooms, nice idea for the decoration, enough bath rooms even for common use. Old apartment building on a quiet street, anyway very central. Nice shops and small restaurants just there. Five minutes walk to the bigger streets.

I booked 4 nights in March for June of next year, and my credit card was charged in April. Now, in the middle of June the hostal contacted me saying that my credit card was invalid and they could not process it, to add another one. The booking company told me to provide the same credit card information, and I did it. An hour later the hostal cancelled my reservation. So, where is my money? UNRELIABLE. BEWARE!!!!!! I guess they were not happy with the low rate paid and they wanted to charge me double.

We went to the dragonfly hotel with friends for a night in Barcelona and we were very pleased with the service. The room was very nice and confortable, (with all the equipement needed such as wifi, air con...) toilet blocks were clean and all of this in the heart of the city of Barcelona near the ramblas ! The staff was very nice and welcoming and has a very nice relation with their clients. Few days after my stay I realised that I forgot my ID card in the hotel, I called them and they immediately sent it to me as I left Spain.

Hotel Dragon fly was such a lovely little place to stay. We were only there for 2 nights. But it was so very worth it. From the moment we got there, it was very chilled and laid back. The entrance was a little hard to find and the small entrance door within the very large double doors was just too cute. Oh, watch your head on the way on ;) The owner was very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Oh, they love it, if you bring them a nice bottom of red. (Just so you know) The owner was very grateful and helpful with any of our needs. The room was small but cosy, and the shower was in the room, but there are more. The aircon worked and the room was just perfect for us. the bed was lovely, but the pillow was a little too hard for me. The biggest thing was the stairs. So many stairs! Overall, one of the best and cleanest hostels I think I have stayed in. Very much recommended to all and I will be going again. The building is of the old style of the city and is very much kept that way. Lots of character.

Stayed here for 4 nights. Was quite a good deal cost wise. Room was very clean and big enough. Location of the hostel is great, plenty of nice bars and restaurants locally. The owner was very polite and helpful. The only criticism are that the walls are paper thin. You really do hear everything from the other rooms and when the main door shuts you really know about it!

This was the perfect location to stay and for the price you can't get better value. The rooms while small, allow for a perfect sleep and the rooms are cleaned daily. We had an extremely small shower which made it challenging to even turn around but it did the job. I would consider staying here again in the future given the location and cooperative staff.

Really good location in a good area of town- close to lots of shops and places to eat. Close to public transport options. The room was large and beds comfortable. As it's an older building the walls do mean you get some noise.

My boyfriend and I stayed here for four nights and loved it! Friendly staff, clean spaces and good WiFi. They even let us leave our bags at reception after check-out which was super helpful. Slightly noisy at night but that didn't bother us. Great location to walk to anywhere in BCN, we walked to the beach and downtown with ease. The Palau de Musica Cataluna is minutes away.

How far is the Cruise terminal/port to the Hostel? 10 minutes may vary depending on the time of day.
How much is the taxi rate fr terminal to hostel? (it depens about 20 Euros) (but for example an extra per departing from Port of Barcelona is about 3.10 € more and 1€ per suitcase)
How far is La Rambla to the Hostel? 10 minutes walking
How much is the taxi rate or shuttle to airport 5am in the morning? about 36€.

The beds are relatively news and made for hotels.
DragonflyBcn works since 2015 we have been totally reformed.Old reviews are from the previous owner. But TripAdvisor does not offer the option to resolve this.
We are in a 1873 restored buildin but, we don't have lift and
We are in the center of Barcelona and only need public transport to visit Sagrada Familia and Parc Güell. Other places are about 5 o 10 minutes walking from Hostel.
