Fast check in and very friendly staff on the reception desk all throughout our stay,
Room was very clean and quite spacious,
Lovely atmosphere in the Bar and friendly staff aswell at the bar,
Excellent burger on the room service menu,,
Great choice at breakfast and it was lovely to have eggs and omelettes made freshly while you waited,
The hotel was cleaned to a very high standard and we will be back next year for sure,
Darren and Karen
Although a little bit far from the centre the metro was perfect with a station very close by, really easy to use buy a ticket for 48hr pass, recommend downloading the Barcelona metro app which was really helpful, would recommend to anyone especially if your staying over to watch the football as it’s less than 10minute walk to the stadium.
There are convince stores close by too, the little restaurant over the road the puzzle was also convenient with decent food and drink.
Over all a really enjoyable few days, can’t thank the staff enough.
The bar service was a bit sketchy regards communication. Asking for one thing and getting another. Affected our friends regards food and drinks order.
Equally bar manager wouldnt serve us or allow us to play pool after 10.30pm despite explaining we were residents so we had to go and see concierge to resolve. He was more than helpful after this.
Then on check out day the internet or their systems failed so that was interesting trying to pay our bill and our breakfast couldnt be added to our room bill which at that point hadnt been paid, so breakfast had to pay by cash. Ok no big problem...till we got to pay our hotel bill as we couldnt view our bill and they give me a figure which I disagreed with.
Eventually I added up from my figures that I had made a note off seperately regards what we had ordered re drinks and food and they waived a breakfast too as a sign of goodwill.
They are helpful staff just the IT seems a bit hit and miss. Maybe it's purely an city wide internet issue. Unsure.
The hotel is clean, large and well positioned for the Barcelona football stadium (Neu camp) and the Metro...it is also well priced.
The hotel is in a good location just 10 minute walk from Collblanc Metro station with direct links to the airport and 10 minutes to Nou Camp for the game.
The check in staff were great on Friday afternoon, also the cleaners were polite and always said hello.
The cafe / bar is best avoided. The staff try to ignore you, on my first visit the two members of staff spent 5 minutes trying to avoid me, the lady on Friday evening even came from behind the bar, straightened the four chairs next to me then walked away.
We ate in the hotel on Saturday night, the prices are reasonable but the quality is lacking. Also the food available was disappointing, many items in the short menu were out of stock. When we got the bill I was told that the bottle of tap water we also had wasn’t on the bill but we had to pay an extra €3 for this. Not sure if this went through the till or in the top jar.
Last night I bought a 1/2 litre jug of sangria to take to the room, was charged the €5.65 as per the menu but the drink was given in a glass the same size as a standard sangria I had on Saturday night. I questioned this with the bar staff but they were adamant they were right. In the room after I had finished the glass, I filled the glass up with tap water using the 200ml bottle of sprite we also bought. It was no surprise that the 500ml sangria glass only takes 400ml of the liquid.
As we checked out, my son went to reception a minute before me to get some €1 coins for a few games of pool before we left. He asked the receptionist, who gave him 4 x 50c coins in return. He said this wasn’t enough but she dismissed him.
When I walked down moments later he was upset so I challenged the receptionist. She said she was right but after my insistence she back down and gave us the other €2 back. She said the hotel did. It have any €1 coins. We asked at the bar, but he didn’t have any either.
We could have just been unlucky with the water charge, the sangria being short and with my son being short changed at reception, I will never know.
I would not return to this hotel to find out. Please book somewhere else.
The pool was now free of charge but the spa would cost you an extra 10-20 euros per person, depending on time of day, the cheapest (and when you're allowed to bring children) obviously while most of us would be out sightseeing.
We apparently complained "too late" as the manager had left for the weekend, and although supposedly in charge could not be contacted until Monday. The line staff / reception where supposedly only allowed to send an email, but not to call or make any sort of decision while the "manager" was away, so if you have a problem during the weekend, don't expect it resolved.
Reception and bar area looks nice, but had leaks and holes in the ceiling during our visit.
The food was decent, though, and the kitchen and bar staff did their utmost to make you feel welcome. It's only a pity their effort is ruined by the poor delivery of a hotels primary task, serving their customers with hotel rooms.
Due to other circumstances we are in Barcelona every 6 months, but we are not coming back to this hotel.
Breakfast was terrible - they do not offer a buffet services despite the website advertising this, can’t cook sausages, bacon was over done and full of fat, I was then presented with a plate of beans 5 minutes later which had been poured straight out of the can, so not heated up at all.
Decor and furniture is dated and completely worn out, graffiti at the main entrance. Towels on the floor in reception to soak up the water dripping from the ceiling.
One night we got in bed, the maid had changed the sheets that day , unfortunately with dirty sheets that smelt awful and were stained yellow. Unfortunately we hadn’t been in the room in the day so we only realised this at night when getting in bed, reception agreed to change rooms but we had to pack everything away at 11pm at night so we could change rooms. Receptionist / stand in manager laughed when I asked her to come and check how bad the smell was.
Would never stay here again but I have to agree the location was great.
We specifically booked this hotel as my children are swimmers, we wanted to be able to use the indoor and outdoor pools and in all of the spa hotels we have stayed in the pool facilities are included; not here. If you wish to go in the indoor pool you can for nearly 60 euros per family for 4, you can go in for only 90 minutes max from about 10am until 11.30. Most families are there to see the sights so would want to swim (as we did) early or later and be out for the day. There is no option for this.
We therefore asked about the outdoor pool: this is open for only 2 summer months, we were there for a warm Easter but it's locked with no access. Tried to look for a gym, found nothing and gave up.
Contacted the hotel to which they said the error is with lastminute as they should tell customers the facilities are not available. Can't get in contact with lastminute, emailed 3 times with no response. Very disappointed to be completely honest and would not recommend staying here for this price, definitely not 4* standard any longer, possibly in the 90s/00s.
The Food was really nice aswell we only ate there on morning but wish we had ate there more
All staff were super-helpful and friendly. As our 1st floor room was ready, they allowed us to check in early, which was very much appreciated! The room was fairly spacious and very clean with lots of storage space, a desk, a fridge, an iron, plug sockets, WiFi, TV, working Air Con, and a fan. There are plenty of mirrors to check your makeup and outfit before you head out too. Bathroom was great. Again, spacious with a shower and bath, with some shower gel and soap provided. There was also a bidet and a hairdryer in the bathroom.
We were provided with extra towels for the rooftop pool when we arrived, and we took full advantage of free use of the pool, which was open 10am until around 9pm from memory. Two lifts are available to take you to the rooftop.
The lobby and bar area are lovely. Lots of nice places to sit and have a drink, and one night there was a pianist playing which gave a really nice, classy atmosphere.
We were allowed to store our luggage after we checked out (12pm check-out time which is very generous). This meant we could get the most out of our holiday. Stayed for 3 nights (so had 4 full days there) and it was fantastic. We would definitely stay again!
This hotel is located slightly outside of central Barcelona. It's in a great location for Barca stadium, and the transport system to all the major attractions and tourist destinations are excellent. Easy to get to from the airport too. Tram journey from the airport to the hotel is around 20 mins, and tram journey from hotel to most tourist areas of interest are around 10 mins.
