Stopped for a night before going to an appointment for our daughter. Close to a variety of restaurants, we used the pool twice. Breakfast was as expected. Only complaint would be the AC unit was very loud and made quite a bit of banging noises as it worked harder to cool the room.

Booked a room for this hotel during the middle of June 2021 on a Friday night for 1 night stay. There is plenty of parking at this location which is conveniently located near many restaurants. No need to Stay in Downtown Ottawa as this location has some of the cheapest and best rates in the area. Upon entering, the foyer and lounge areas are very modern and recently updated. The front desk staff are very nice and polite, and accommodating for room and bed type preferences on the spot. The hotel was very clean, however the capacity of the hotel was maybe at 25% at the time.
Upon entering the room, we saw that the recent renovations were quite spectacular.....new furniture, new carpeting, upscale bathroom. The room was quite stunning, and it was the most basic room we booked at the cheapest price.
Breakfast was in a brown lunch bag the front entrance the next morning upon checkout due to Covid 19 restrictions, however we ate this breakfast on the patio area on the backside of the hotel which was also nice.
I highly recommend this hotel if you are in the area as the staff go out of they way to answer your questions and they do whatever it takes to make the stay enjoyable.

We arrived at this hotel at 2 a.m. after a very long travel journey. Lugged our luggage up to the room only to discover the key wouldn't work. The night manager, Ashraf Takia came to our assistance only to discover that the battery was dead on the electronic locking system. It was the only room left! Hotel was filled. He assisted us with our luggage and moved us next door to the Homewood Suites. There he upgraded us to a suite. He wouldn't accept payment for the snacks we had chosen, and we were offered complimentary bottled water. Mr. Takia went above and beyond to provide us with the best possible service. We were very tired, and his kindness touched our hearts. Next morning well rested and refreshed we enjoyed a delicious complimentary breakfast. All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. We wanted to post this review in appreciation. We give Mr. Takia and the hotel 10 stars.

We ended up at the Holiday Inn after the Hampton Inn in the same complex couldn’t honour our reservation. The hotel was under renovation. The floor was being tiled in front of the front desk. And that guy was not going to move. I checked in with him literally under my feet. Upon check-in we were told that breakfast service was not up and running and we would have to go across the parking lot back to the Hampton for breakfast.
The rooms were clean and typical. The bed was ridiculously hard and it felt like I had slept on a concrete slab.
The pool area was really small and there weren’t any towels. We asked at the front desk for a replenishment twice but they never arrived. We ended up taking the last two from the gym so who knows if they ever were restocked.
The parking lot was disgraceful. Knowing that your guests have to cut through it on foot for breakfast you’d think they’d put some sand or salt down. Also, the accessible parking spots were being used for snow piling.

We had a really unpleasant stay. We were having a night away from the kids so we checked in and stashed our bags in the room and went out for the night when we got back at around 11 we were upset to find the bedding looked like it hadn’t been changed in a while and the shower dirty and shower head full of calcium build up. After many unsuccessful attempts to get ahold of front desk staff I went to the front desk and couldn’t find anyone. My wife and I slept on top of the bedding in our clothes. I brought the issue up and with the help of the staff they were able to help bring our trust back and we will try the hotel again another time when they aren’t doing Reno’s. Bad stay but at least the staff was able to make it up to us and apologized thank you.

The hotel itself is very nice and updated. Great location. The staff upon check in was not overly friendly and welcoming. I was not recognized as a platinum member, nor was I given my welcome amenity points. The gym facility was nice but was missing cleaner in order to wipe down the equipment after each use (which there is a sign in the gym indicating to do so). Overall, quiet and comfy stay but felt a bit cold and unwelcoming.

On June 6 last week, I was there with my family. We just spent one night there. It was a nice place, kids had fun in the swimming pool. The room we booked was very clean and close to Gym and swimming pool. Unfortunately, I can't remember the names of the three staff members who served us. We check-in on June 6 the lady and the man who helped us were so polite and nice. The next day in the morning, when we checked out at 6 am there was another member of staff, a man who got us bags for breakfast and called the free airport shuttle to pick us up at the Airport, he made sure that all was good. I really would like to thank them for serving. For sure we will visit this hotel in the future again.

Room is spacious and very clean. Beddings, pillows and mattress are in good condition. Check in/out is fast. Breakfast is consist of scramble eggs pancakes, ham, cinnamon, cereal , fruits and etc... Hallways , dining area , elevators and reception area are very clean and well-maintained. There is a Christmas tree in the reception area which is a nice touch to welcome the guests. Parking is safe.

We had a reservation booked since early July 2020. We arrived at the hotel to a sign that said the hotel was closed but our reservation would be honoured at the Hampton Inn next door. It was. These hotels are two different brands- IHG and Hilton, so we were surprised that the reservation was honoured. The Hampton staff told us that the owner has 3 hotels in this plaza (2 of the Hilton brand & this Holiday Inn Express) and they only keep as many hotels open as they can fill during Covid. We were upset that they didn’t notify us ahead of time.

We made our reservation months in advance and when we arrived the hotel was closed and set up as a quarantine hotel??? Didn’t know those were still happening. We had no communication about this although we were told they would have tried to call. I think in this circumstance you might want to keep calling until you actually get to talk to someone. Traveling with my family and expecting a certain room we were very thrown. I am very thankful to Homewood Suits next door who were very friendly and helpful.

Yes there is plenty of bus stops close by you can catch a bus. We are about 15-25 minutes car ride from downtown depending of traffic, it would be a long walk. I hope this helps.

We do offer park and stay from April to November. December to March our spaces become limited do to the snow and unfortunately can not accommodate long term parking.
