I stayed at this hotel at the end of March for two nights with a group of 15, that a colleague of mine and I put together.

Unfortunately we got off to a bad start. I had called the hotel twice before arrival (on the road with our private bus driver) and was checking as to the closest drop-off point to make it easy to transfer to taxis to access the hotel . The hotel is in the historic area and even small buses (20 passenger) are not allowed in the area. I pointed out that we were mostly senior citizens and needed something convenient. the receptionist gave us the location and it agreed with what the driver had surmised. We got in the taxis and they dropped us off at the main entrance to the hotel. Upon entering the large gate we were faced with a flight of about 15 cement steps to reach the hotel lobby. Of course, we had requested hotels that had elevators. It had them to the rooms but not to reach the lobby. When I climbed the stairs (without my bags!) and entered the lobby, I asked the receptionist if they had porterage to help with the bags. Her answer was simply "No", and didn't offer any suggestions or help.
2 of our travelers helped others get the bags up the stairs. Later, we found out that there was another entrance that was street level. The receptionist should have mentioned this during one of my phone calls so that we could tell the taxis where to drop us off. Then, upon check-in, we were told there were only 3 time slots for breakfast and they only had availability at 10AM (some at 9) the next day for our group. We had a tour leaving at 10 AM the next day and they would not accommodate us initially. We were told we could possibly take food to our room (if there was enough left at the 9 AM time slot.

In conclusion, we started off with a very unaccommodating attitude from the desk staff. They "softened" up the next day, and in the end the hotel was fine. The rooms were clean, and well appointed for a 3-star hotel.

The location is terrific for seeing the historic part of town. Not too far from anything, sights, restaurants. etc.

Our room was a little cozy and the window opened onto the lobby downstairs. The bathroom was a human car wash system with no directions for how to use it. It took a few minutes of study to figure out how the various valves and sprays worked. We loved the roof terrace and breakfast was a good value. Great location.

The hotel is right in the center of the tourist area, just blocks from the Mezquita. The entrance is behind gates and through a courtyard, thus back from the street and quiet. My room was small, but very comfortable. The bathroom was well appointed and well lit. The only item I missed was a chair (and there was room for one) because that would have provided a place to sit and review tourist literature.

There is a terrace on the top floor and though it was cold when I visited, I enjoyed taking a glass of wine up in the evenings and admiring the view.

Staff is very helpful, except the man who recommended a horrible restaurant. The person who cleaned my room was lovely. She even inquired about how I slept.

It was almost impossible to find the 'hotel'. It is hidden behind metal gates, you cannot see the hotel at all. When I gained access, it seemed chaotic. Receptionist photocopied my passport, said the room was not ready and proceeded to put my luggage in a side room. I noticed on route how filthy everywhere was that I saw and told the receptionist I would not be staying, asked to see the manager, told not available, I left a letter for her attention setting out my complaints. Have heard nothing since despite sending 2 emails to their 'head office', contacting Booking with complaint. Disgusting from what I saw. My day was completely wasted trying to find suitable accom in Cordoba.
Stayed in their Capuchinos hotel a couple of years ago which was good apart from the bath which was unusable due to being minute, enclosed by a screen, downright dangerous.
Message to Soho Atalia, please return my money.
There are no signs anywhere to inform people looking for the hotel where it is. Silly comment by receptionist when I complained about how filthy the hotel is "well it is in the Jewish Quarter".

Dear W425NLannh, We are sorry for your dissatisfaction, but the hotel management team contacted you via e-mail on 2 occasions, responding to your complaints. We recommend that you check the SPAM folder of your email. The cancellation policy on this platform is clear and Booking.com informs you in the booking confirmation. There is no margin of modification in case of cancellation on the day of arrival, as the established cancellation deadlines are not met. Expenses are incurred which are borne by the client as we do not have time to react with such a short margin of time. As you have NOT been a guest of the hotel, as you cancelled your reservation after the deadline, and the cancellation charges correspond to the rate chosen, we will not take into account your comments and evaluations. We understand that it is an unpleasant situation for you to have to pay for not staying, but clearly in your booking conditions that you chose and accepted were already indicated. We regret that you use this way to confuse other guests who have enjoyed the hotel facilities and value the contributions of other guests. Regards

We decided to enjoy our stay in this hotel as we have and excellent stay in another Soho Boutique in Sevilla.

For these one I would like to highlight the staff. always friendly and helpful and the location, in the old city heart and two min. walk to the Mosque/Cathedral. The rooms where clean, but in our room all spaces to small, we could not move both at the same time. I think removing some “useless” furniture at least would gain some space. Toilet is tiny but shower water pressure is perfect.

The main problem for us was the noise. Very noisy as the walls are too thin i guess, we could hear all conversations even from people at 3am in the morning. Also the window was “connected” the the lobby hall and we could hear also conversations in the hall.

So, hotels is nice well situated and nice staff, but rooms small and noisy, we could not sleep well and on a trip this is basic for us. In our case, next time we would look for another place but still believe that other Soho Boutique are great options.

Regards

Right in the centre of Cordoba, short walking distance to the Mosque-Cathedral. We had a 2 bedroom suite so could spread out a bit (and both get a good sleep!). Hidden behind huge security gates a cool courtyard leads to the entrance. Updated rooms, quiet environment at night, although the sounds of a nearby Flamenco dance school provided some entertainment! Comfortable beds, breakfast was simple. Very good welcome, brisk farewell - what was I expecting? Recommend if you’re after this location.

A 3-4 minute walk to the Mezquita. Location is a 10 out of 5. Service from the girl who checked us in was a 4. The guy who was there after her was a 5. Twin beds pushed together were comfortable 4, and the pillow was a 3.5. Nice to have AC in Room 001 too. All very good, except that there is a light in the ceiling by the door that you can't turn off at night. Maybe it's required by code? Either way, that one small item was annoying when trying to sleep.

Great location and rooms are ok
for one night. The shower is very small! Customer service is terrible you get hardly greeted upon arrival. I also happened to forget my chargers in the room after leaving. Called the hotel to mail them to me and charge my credit card or I could pay with PayPal. They could not care less their answer was figure it out on your own. Get someone to pick it up for you was the manager answer!!!! This is truly a non existing customer service.
The youth hostel is probably better than this place.

Dear kinouche2013 : Thank you so much for choosing us and for rating our location so well. We are sorry that we did not live up to your expectations regarding our recepcion service. For your information it is not lawful to charge anyone anything from the hotel without being here and without their consent. We cannot justify this payment by dataphone with a reservation and invoice already closed, it is not possible. The most appropriate option to recover your forgotten object is through postage due courier. However, we want to continue improving in order to offer you the best experience. That is why we would love it if you trust us again for future stays. Our best regards, Soho Boutique Atalia

Facilities and amenities were excellent. The hotel location is also great and the staff friendly and helpful.
Unfortunately the AC was not working and there was a problem with the drain/plug hole in the shower.
I would stay there again mainly because of the great location and comfortable rooms
